Edna:  Forgive my ignorance but...I went to this site..I even looked up the "Historic data"..all the numbers look basically the same..again, I'm sorry I "Don't get it"...I'm sure it good.

Doodlebug:  Three things that Delta is pointing out:

 1) the Group category is listing the IQD now as a "MINOR" currency instead of an "EXOTIC".

2) it is showing "Real Time", and

3) it is showing the real time rate at .008 and not the .0008 that we are used to seeing. All of these these are really good for us.

Within FOREX, there are three types of currency pairs: MAJOR, MINOR and EXOTIC

"Major" currency pairs consist of the most frequently traded currencies globally. Because they have massive liquidity, you’re able to trade them virtually always. Furthermore, you’ll find the lowest spreads — or brokerage costs — when trading these pairs.

EUR/USD

Euro/US dollar

USD/JPY

US dollar/Japanese yen

GBP/USD

British pound/US dollar

USD/CHF

US dollar/Swiss franc

USD/CAD

US dollar/Canadian dollar

AUD/USD

Australian dollar/US dollar

NZD/USD

New Zealand dollar/US dollar

"Minor" Currency Pairs - When a currency pair doesn’t include the US dollar, it’s called a "minor currency pair" or a "cross-currency pair".  Here are a few minor currency pairs:

EUR/GBP — Euro/British pound

EUR/AUD — Euro/Australian dollar

GBP/JPY — British pound/Japanese yen

CHF/JPY — Swiss franc/Japanese yen

NZD/JPY — New Zealand dollar/Japanese yen

GBP/CAD — British pound/Canadian dollar

An "exotic currency pair" includes a major currency and the currency of a developing economy (such as Brazil or South Africa). You won’t find exotic pairs as often as you’ll find major or minor pairs, which means the spreads can be higher when trading them. Exotic currency pairs include:

Currency pairs

EUR/TRY

Euro/Turkish lira

USD/HKD

US dollar/Hong Kong dollar

JPY/NOK

Japanese yen/Norwegian krone

NZD/SGD

New Zealand dollar/Singapore dollar

GBP/ZAR

British pound/South African rand

AUD/MXN

Australian dollar/Mexican peso

The IQD has now moved from this "Exotic" category up to the "Minor" Group. IMO, AWESOME NEWS for us! IMO and hope this helps.

Because they are members of the IMF/WB , and because the dinar is a difficult currency to work with at the present time because of high denom notes and scarcity of lower ones let alone a program rate with lots of zeroes as well ....  and again because they are backed by super amounts of internationally valuable gold and hard currency .. and ...

it appears Iraq is ready to have such a valuable hard currency of its own ... a currency that reflects the true wealth potential of the country ... and present it to the International Market

Expert: Our gold and hard currency reserves are higher than the international standard

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Baghdad / Suha Sheikhly

Gold is an international system and financial cover used as a basis for determining the value of paper currency, and through which to assess the currency of any country, as the countries that adopt this system, convert their currency to gold after relying on buying and selling, gold was selected for several considerations, the first of which is precious metal and stainless steel storage It is difficult to dissolve and is a pillar of crisis time.

Link to Sterling

The expert, the banking adviser and a member of the administrative body of the Association of Private Iraqi Banks Abdul Rahman al-Sheikhly in his interview with the "morning" says: "After July 14, 1958 the new government disengaged the Iraqi dinar from the pound sterling and the dinar has become almost existing and needs to strengthen its position."

“In all the countries of the world, the local currency must be covered with gold or hard currency that can be traded anytime, anywhere. The government then issued a decision to separate the Iraqi currency from English,” he said. Either in hard currencies or gold. ”

Bank Nout

At that time, Iraq tried to enter the world market through its balance of gold and hard currency. The paper, (Bank Note) is a secretariat arrived from the state to the citizen that he has the state as well as the amount.

He explained, “Therefore, this currency will not be valuable unless it has a reserve balance, and the former Iraqi citizen used (Travel Check) when traveling abroad to spend his currency with the money of that country before the monetary developments that have appeared in the world. Entire".

Sheikhli said that "the Central Bank of Iraq is completely independent of the state and was able to refuse to lend to the state and this is what happened when the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq Abdul Latif al-Shawaf refused to lend Prime Minister Abdul Karim Qasim amount of money, and the situation continued to the year 2014."

He stresses that "currency reserves created to deal in times of abnormal crises going through the economy, note that our economy is subject to the controls of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank because we are members, especially after 2003 and the regime changed from totalitarian to a market economy," pointing out that "the government was forced to In 2014, during the war against the Islamic State terrorist gangs, borrowing from the monetary reserves in accordance with the standards of the IMF and the World Bank, and coincided with the decline in oil prices, so Iraq tried to compensate by resorting to the strategic reserve in the central bank of gold and hard currency to pay the government e The amount is closer time".

"With great efforts, the central bank was able to recover the amounts, and the central bank now has reserves of foreign currencies and gold more than the standard required by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which means that the Iraqi dinar has become a cover and is a difficult currency at present And anywhere from The globe. ”

Sheikhli pointed out that "gold prices in Iraq are the same world prices, and subject to international controls," stressing that "there is a project adopted by the Central Bank, but the legal processes to prevent its implementation is to raise three zeros from the currency".

Accessories and safe

Al-Sabah met with goldsmith Abu Ali, owner of a goldsmith shop since 1981 and said: “Many families buy gold not just for decorations but it is a saving for times of need.

And a safe. ”

He pointed out that the price of a single weight of Gulf gold caliber 21 grain is 260 thousand dinars, a kind of desirable much, while the price of weight of 18 carat 215 thousand Dinar".

It is noteworthy that the gold market in Baghdad is located in the street of the river, along with the cities of Karbala, Najaf, Ramadi and Fallujah, while the seasons of sale will be on holidays and joyous occasions and less in the months of Muharram and zero, as the season is scarce Selling.   LINK

Iran realizes they better back off because they have really turned the Iraqi people against them and the world too.  I thought we might get involved, but Trump is a master of the Art of War and the Deal.

Sun Tzu says that if you can get an enemy to do what you want without risking yourself, that is the BEST outcome.  Looks like that is what is happening.  I knew when the army had flowers in their barrels and schools were letting the kids out to march in the protests it was a done deal.

Nobody can defeat a country where the people and the army are together and anybody hurting a kid would get lynched for sure.  Smart move.

Now comes their purchasing power and the rest of Parliament that stayed should pass everything they are asking for.  IMO

Don961:  Conflicting news about Abdul Mahdi's resignation and the formation of a transitional government at dawn on Wednesday

2019-10-29

Yass Iraq-Baghdad

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi is set to resign at dawn on Wednesday amid protests in several cities across the country and Sadr's leader Muqtada al-Sadr has called for early parliamentary elections.

Sadr to Abdul Mahdi: Leave!

Abdul-Mahdi sent a letter to Muqtada al-Sadr asking him to agree with the head of the Fatah Alliance, Hadi al-Amiri, to form a new government, so that he could resign. His call for early elections in which he “preserved the dignity” of the prime minister, and that he called on Ameri to work together to change the Electoral Commission and its law, and agree on radical reforms, including changing the provisions of the Constitution to put to the vote. Sadr said in his statement that if the parliament did not vote on it; the people should say "go" to Abdul Mahdi, as he put it.

Barham Salih: No declared position and international conditions because of genocide against demonstrators

On the other hand; media sources said that President Barham Saleh held an emergency meeting with a number of heads of blocs in the Peace Palace in Baghdad, to discuss several options to resolve the crisis, including the removal of Abdul Mahdi, and the formation of an interim caretaker government, until agreement on the date of new elections, while sources denied Close to the presidency of the news.

According to political leaks, Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi is under various pressure from the political blocs, some of whom are demanding to resign, while his allies close to the Fatah alliance refuse to step down, and insist on the search for alternative solutions and exits to the crisis.  LINK

Don961:  Iraqi parliament votes on the strongest reform package since 2003

- 6 Hours Have Passed

In a session that remained open until late Monday night, the Iraqi parliament voted on a package of resolutions and procedures, which is considered the strongest since 2003, the beginning of the new political system in Iraq. The session, which was delayed daily due to fears that the demonstrations will move from Tahrir Square to the Green Zone, was held yesterday with 222 deputies out of a total of 329 deputies, the Iraqi parliament.

The bloc «Siron», which announced its transformation to the opposition, and began an open sit-in inside the parliament building three days ago, participated in the meeting. The six deputies who announced their resignations from parliament and from different blocs also participated.

Among the most important decisions taken were the abolition of the provincial and municipal councils in the districts and districts, which is the strongest blow to the local government in the country, which failed to perform its duties after its transition from service to political. Parliament also decided to form a committee to amend the Iraqi constitution. He also voted to abolish the privileges of the three presidencies and top posts in the country.

While Saad al-Muttalbi, a member of the Baghdad provincial council, considered that "the decisions of parliament on the provincial councils are not binding and illegal," MP Abdullah al-Kharbit said in a statement to «Middle East» said that «parliament is the House of the People, the highest legislative authority in the The country, therefore, any law enacted or a decision taken by the legal and binding on the government, which now has to implement everything issued by Parliament quickly ».

Al-Muttalbi told Al-Sharq Al-Awsat that the provincial councils will challenge this decision in the Federal Court, as it is not based on a constitutional basis, stating that the provincial councils have a service role and perform their duties, and therefore abolishing it is not a solution. Kharbit believes that «the provincial councils ended their work for years, and their continuation is a constitutional violation», noting that «Parliament is determined to fully comply with the legitimate demands of the demonstrators, and in all fields and fields». He added that «Parliament will remain in session until the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, or whoever authorized him, and with the laws and procedures that the government wants to have legal cover, as well as the ministerial amendment that we await».

These decisions and actions come in light of the escalation of demonstrations and protests in the capital Baghdad, and a number of central and southern provinces of the country.

For his part, announced Saad al-Hadithi, spokesman for the Office of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, that «the prime minister has a list of the change of some of the ministers, which will be submitted to the parliament once held a quorum».

In a speech to the Iraqi people against the backdrop of the angry demonstrations, Abdul-Mahdi announced on 24 June that he will make cabinet reshuffles next week away from the concepts of quotas, focusing on competencies and the independence of ministers and the increasing presence of women and youth.

The Federal Supreme Court has ruled on Monday «not subject to the distribution of positions in accordance with the quota decision», stressing in a statement that «the lists and political blocs to claim the positions of deputy ministers and the presidency of bodies and special grades in state organs according to their merit, has no basis of the Constitution». The Federal Supreme Court that «walk contrary to the Constitution has created the so-called political quotas in the distribution of positions, and the resulting negatives affected the paths of the state, and in the public interest».

In addition, the Salvation and Development Front called for the importance of preserving the prestige of the state, away from the government or the interests of political forces. Front, in a statement received «Asharq Al-Awsat», called on the government «to resign, and the formation of an interim government includes figures accepted nationally, and does not participate in the upcoming elections, and its duration does not exceed six months».

The Front also called for «the government to hold early elections, under the auspices of the United Nations in accordance with a new law to ensure the real representation of the people, and encourages wide participation, and by a new independent commission already». It also called for «the adoption of a new electoral law based on multiple constituencies, and ensures the direct election of governors by voters, with the abolition of provincial councils».   Middle east  LINK

Don961:  Necessities of economic reform

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

 Free Membership

Economic reform is defined as clear, precise and time-bound plans (the instruments through which reform will be implemented) aimed at reforming the country's economic institutions and the structure of the economic system and eliminating and eliminating problems that hinder the national economy.

The process of economic reform is one of the most important processes that have been resorted to in cases of recurrent economic crises or recessions, deficits and structural imbalances in the structure of the economic system, which requires work to repair these problems and crises and unhealthy conditions experienced by the national economy, which makes it It does not perform its tasks properly, relying on economic reform to find appropriate solutions and work to restore the national economy to its normal and balanced state and to achieve the desired functions.

The economic reform aims to avoid the imbalance in the performance of the national economy, which may be represented by the imbalances and deficits of the public budget. Stop wasting unnecessary expenses and reduce support to those who deserve it.

Economic reform may also aim at structuring the structure of the economy in terms of relying on the export of a limited commodity or group of goods abroad and building the general budget on the basis of which makes them hostage to this commodity or a few commodities and exposes them to crisis situations in the event of low prices of these commodities in international markets. Work to make the national economy diversified resources and balanced in its dependence on multiple revenues and in a manner that compensates for the decline in the prices of any resource due to the financial crisis that may go through.

Moreover, economic reform may aim to reduce dependence on foreign countries in providing agricultural and industrial products and commodities, and to settle agriculture and various industries. This will reduce dependence on foreign countries and depend on the national economy to import and get rid of consumption only without production and shift to production at the expense of consumption.

In our country, due to the dependence of the Iraqi economy on the sale of a single commodity (crude oil), our national economy has become hostage to the prices of this commodity in the world markets and the subsequent decline and successive rise, which is a weakness in the economic system, which requires work to diversify sources of income and revenue To reduce the over-reliance on imports and work to replace exports in order to reach the export stage

In the future, minimize unnecessary budgetary expenditures and encourage local Endodontic leading to increasing domestic products of various types of goods and services, and the restructuring of the national economy, leading to the organization of the economic system reform in general and works to improve the performance of our national economy.  LINK

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri announced on Tuesday that he would submit the resignation of his government to the president after nearly two weeks of popular protests shaking the country.

In a direct and concise address to the Lebanese people, Hariri said that “13 days ago, the Lebanese people have been waiting for a political solution to stop the deterioration. During this period, I have tried to find a way to listen to the voice of the people and to protect the country from security, economic and living risks.

He said, “I will not hide you and I have reached a dead end and it is a duty to act as a big shock in order to face the crisis.

Local media in Lebanon reported that Hariri had contacted political parties, expressing his desire to resign. She pointed out that some representatives of these parties tried to discourage Hariri from his position, but he insisted on it.

An unprecedented wave of protests erupted in Lebanon on 17 October after the Hariri government announced its intention to impose taxes on WhatsApp calls to fill the chronic budget deficit. Protests against the Hariri government and the country's ruling political class quickly turned, and protesters demanded the downfall of the Hariri government, which they say failed to address the country's serious economic downturn.   LINK

Don961:  Expert: Our gold and hard currency reserves are higher than the international standard

LINK

MilitiaMan:  I'll bet the graft going to the irregular provincial councils was plenty of hard currency. This may have clearly been an important issue to have in place and sorted for the 2019 calculation adjustment(s) for and ahead of the 2020 budget.

A requirement? I wouldn't be surprised! The wasted money should go to the kitty for the citizens needs imo.. There could be more that is involved too. The idea of where did you get this (assets, cash, Real Estate.) may have been in play too.

I like they are gearing for the money, and will allow for time to adjudicate the corrupt.. Mahdi seems to be in the running for questioning next month.. That is in a few days coming. But, they'll need the money to retain international investors to create the jobs the demands of the citizens need.

Pressure is like a powder keg now with a very short fuse. imo (smile)

Samson:  MP attacks the government: Why did not you hold the corrupt quickly accountable to the demonstrators ?

2019/10/28 12:22

Attorney MP Sairon parliamentary bloc Inam al-Khuzaie, Monday, the Iraqi government, while wondering, why did not hold the corrupt quickly accountable to the demonstrators ?

"To the Iraqi government, if you have this courage, strength, courage and speed to apply the law and the verdicts against peaceful protesters and protesters, whether in state departments or schools, I do not know what prevented you for a year to issue the same speed, force and feet legal proceedings against the corrupt," Khuzaie said in a tweet.

They stole the money from Iraq and spread poverty, hunger, free death and other pains emanating from the volcano of peaceful popular demonstrations."

MilitiaMan:  Question of the year! A very good one too. Answer is "ummm, the graft we were slurping like hot gravy was so good we couldn't think straight... duhh..". "Everyone else was having gluttonous portions too.." Said, the corrupt.. lol Was that wrong? lol ~ MM

On a good note, this line of questioning is important and needs real answers and reasoning for to support those that are not to be prosecuted and or worse. It sets the stage for more awakenings from the citizens.. imo ~ MM

Productive Sectors

"

Employment employment

As for the foundations of the development of the oil sector, Marzouq pointed out that "its development is through the formation of a higher council through which the management of this vital sector, which is expected to achieve a significant increase in the movement of labor through the employment of large numbers of labor in this sector. When this happens. "

Iobey777:  IMO,  Frank and teams have told us repeatedly that the CBI and the GOI are S E P E R A T E!! I believe them!!

IMO..according to what I/we have been told, the CBI does NOT need the GOI..especially now! All the laws that were needed have been passed!! It's up to the CBI to release the rate When it is deemed safe to do so!

Maybe..they were waiting for the demonstrators to do their "thing" and get the Iranians OUT of their GOI! The citizens now see that Iran is not their friend!!

IMO..it was all orchestrated and though it is sad that some had to lose their lives (I don't think that was in the plan)but it happened because of the greed that was trying to hold it's grip on Iraqi citizens! That has now been accomplished, IMO...and now that the leader of Daesh is gone..that threat is over also!

Let us pray that that is so!! I also pray that this will happen soon ..for so MANY reasons!!

DELTA:  ALSO I LIKE TO ADD THAT ONE THE DEMAND IS TO STOP AUCTION AND MOVE TO MARKET ECONOMY WHICH IS REQUIRED ARTICLE 8  AND LIFTING 3 ZEROS AND GIVE DINAR TRUE VALUE

Iobey777:  and I believe  the CBI knows this and is now ready to make an announcement!! IMO!!!

MilitiaMan:  I too see the demands of the people are well orchestrated, not as openly obvious as most would like. However, the next move is from the more affluent citizens. The professional level calling for to demonstrate tomorrow adds to the pressure to get the RI completed.

They’ll have a say and when they get involved like more of the politicians have apparently done recently. It will be easier to convey their demands clear and concise.

They IMO know the RI will bring forth peace, prosperity and security. They know an international value related Dinar of a fully compliant Article 8 currency will bring all of those things. Even if an interim GOI is installed or not this gets done.

I actually believe it may be more in our best interest to see just that, as citizens don’t like the old names and faces and many have left the country and or even sacked to date.

Frank may very well have a prophetic moment there in that today we saw and article depicting just what he told us about. A interim Gov apparently standing by if need be.

I am somewhat surprised Mahdi hasn’t seen by now that since they haven’t yet RI’d just yet, he is ineffective and will be going forward without it. They don’t RI he will be the loser, he resigns he will be a loser. The only way out imo could be,  is for him to make sure there is an RI and quite quickly too.

So, let’s see what the week brings. An emergency or extraordinary meeting is said to be slated for tomorrow, They better get up early as the demonstrators are to start around 6:00 am over there..

DELTA:  THAT'S WHY..... WE CALL YOU ANALYZER YOU ARE THE BEST AT IT MY BROTHER..(thumbs up)

 Baghdad - Writings

Unprecedented demonstrations continue for the third day in a row since 25 October 2019 and until the early hours of Monday 28 October in the Iraqi capital Baghdad and in a number of provinces.

But the celebrations were special in Baghdad by fireworks to celebrate the arrival of large segments of the 16-year-old popular movement in opposition to the Iraqi government and continued corruption.

The celebrations continued in most of the streets of Baghdad, the Iraqi revolution and the start of civil disobedience with chanting slogans "in the spirit of blood we redeem you, Iraq."  link

MilitiaMan:  Interesting the celebratory tone in this article Don961. Thank you for your hard work!!!

The wording has celebration and fireworks in the theme of it. They are suggesting fireworks were special.. That sort of wording sound like a good thing not a bad thing.

Keep in mind that his is the wee AM hours in the morning. To be lighting fireworks in the wee hours of the morning seems odd unless they were for very serious reasons.

Could they have been told about and or shown the small notes and or depictions of them and this is the start of big things to come? Fireworks would be in order for that imo..

The demonstrations of recent were not celebratory? Celebrations are meant for a job well done and or a new benefit for everyone is what I see celebrations for in this case. They had late meetings for the GOI and were said to have an extraordinary or emergency session for their today.

Well there were demonstrations with professionals and the affluent of citizens starting in short order if not already.

The article suggested 6:00 am  and that is in about thee minutes from now.. let’s see what the day brings.. imo -MM

A series of large-scale street protests around the world, from Chile and Hong Kong to Lebanon and Barcelona, have highlighted the need to seek common ground and collective issues behind these protests. 27th October, 2019

A series of large-scale street protests around the world, from Chile and Hong Kong to Lebanon and Barcelona, have highlighted the need to seek common ground and collective issues behind these protests. Whether or not India's anger over the price of onions can be linked to pro-democracy demonstrations in Russia?

The protests of each country vary in detail, but the recent unrest seems to share one major factor: youth. In most cases, young people take center stage in demonstrations demanding change. The uprising that toppled the old regime in Sudan this year was made up of young people.

According to the British newspaper The Guardian, this is not surprising, as the English poet William Wordsworth praised the eternal youth's desire to rebel in the poem “The Prelude” praising the French Revolution. “Life was bliss at that dawn, but paradise was in Young".

While young people of any age are usually ready to overthrow the existing regime, severe demographic, social and political imbalances intensify the pressures of our modern world, as if the pollution and unprecedented environmental changes we are witnessing today are accompanied by similar exceptional tension in human society.

Young people aged 24 and under reached 41 percent of the world's 7.7 billion people, the largest in history.

In Africa, 41% of the population is under 15, and in Asia and Latin America, where 65% of the world's population lives, only 25% are young. Developed countries tend to the other way, with only 16% of Europeans aged 15 or under, while the proportion of elderly over 65 is about 18%, double the global average.

Most of these young people have reached or are coming of age in a world that has been traumatized by the economic meltdown of 2008, where economic stagnation, low living standards and austerity programs imposed by the political elite have shaped their life experience. Therefore, many of the current protests are rooted in common grievances about economic inequality and unemployment.

In Tunisia, the failed “Arab Spring” of 2011, and in neighboring Algeria recently, unemployed youths and students angry at price and tax increases led street protests, protesting against empty reform promises, as did Chile and Iraq last week.

This global phenomenon of youth disappointment is a political time bomb. Every month in India, a million people are 18 and can vote. In the Middle East and North Africa, an estimated 27 million young people will enter the labor market in the next five years, and any government, elected or unelected, unable to provide decent jobs, wages and housing, will face a major problem.

Regardless of their numbers, contemporary young generations have something else that the elderly lacked: they are connected.  Education is greater than ever, they are healthier, less adhered to social traditions and religion, and they know what is happening around them and expect a lot.

Thanks to social networking sites, the spread of English as a common language, and the globalization and information added by the Internet, young people from all backgrounds and places have become more open to alternative life choices, more in line with “universal” rights and norms such as freedom of expression and fair wages, and less willing to accept their lack of access.

The political turmoil resulting from this rapid social development is spreading all over the world, and the Lebanese WhatsApp revolution is the best example of this, yet there are publicly politically motivated protests such as those in Hong Kong and Catalonia.

Hong Kong's youth face familiar problems such as unemployment and rising rents, but by turning against the Chinese authoritarian regime, China's young people have taken the lead in the fight against authoritarian rulers everywhere, and their campaign has had an international resonance, which President Xi Jinping fears.

It is difficult to see what is happening in other parts of the world without linking events such as the efforts of Kashmir youth to overthrow Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India, and the struggle of Palestinian youth against the Israeli army with flags and stones is part of the same global struggle for democratic self-determination, fundamental freedoms and human rights. Adopted by young Muscovites who oppose Vladimir Putin's harsh rule.

Another factor that plays a major role in the outburst of protests is the spread of the idea of democratically elected governments, particularly in the United States and Europe, lying, manipulating, and misleading. Lack of confidence in politicians and the resulting investigation of the general public is a common factor that brings together the yellow vest In France, the Czech anti-corruption marches, the environmental “rebellion on extinction” movement.

As historian William Hazlett put it, “Denial has become the new spirit of the times.”  LINK

Samson:  The Lebanese judiciary prohibits taking dollars out of the country

27th October, 2019
The Lebanese judiciary has banned the removal of dollars from portfolios outside the country with ordinary permits approved by the Banque du Liban, in light of the continuing demands to drop all protections against the lords of corruption and looting.

Discriminatory Attorney General Ghassan Oweidat issued a court order banning cash payments at once in the bags of money changers and merchants through Beirut International Airport and border crossings so that looters could not be smuggled out.  He said: "The operations of the transfer of funds were carried out with a normal authorization approved by the Lebanese customs, and was coordinated with the Governor of the Banque du Liban Riad Salama so that the Customs Directorate will subject the transfer of funds to the regulations of the Central Bank of Lebanon to determine."

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Popular Organization of Nasserist MP Osama Saad in a tweet on "Twitter": "Young revolutionaries are knocking on the doors of the modern state ... Voices resounding in the fields Change is coming, coming ... Down all protections to the emperors of corruption and looting ... Organization The Nazarene people remain, they remain in the squares and squares."

Protests continue for the eleventh day in Lebanon, and the scene is still similar to the first day, despite the decrease in demonstrations in most parts of the country due to talk of an army plan to open the roads.   LINK

Don961:  Barham Saleh holds an emergency meeting to discuss the dismissal of the government and the announcement of a transitional government

The political scene Sunday , 27 October 2019 at 14:48 pm (3034 Views)

Baghdad / Sky Press

The President of the Republic Barham Saleh in the Palace of Peace in Baghdad in the meantime, a meeting with a number of heads of blocs and the judiciary and representatives of the Kurdistan Alliance to discuss several options, including the dismissal of the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi and the declaration of an emergency government.

A source familiar with the presidency said that the meeting began a hawala an hour from now to discuss meeting the demands of the demonstrators and a number of solutions, including the dismissal of the current government and the announcement of a government to lead the country in the transitionLINK

ChrisC:  If you really look at the situation, this could have been predicted but is even more bold than I had anticipated.  Remember the picture of him talking to Trump?  Wasn't it this very guy that Trump said we have some really important things to talk about in private?

Who is going to stop this?  Maybe the UN can stop it with their army, oh wait, they don't have an army.  Russia isn't, Iran can't, the people want it and the Iraqi army is with the people and they were trained by us and are our allies, not to mention the Peshmerga if needed.

I bet Trump had every person already picked for another govt., they just needed the people to make the choice of getting rid of the old one.  I told you these guys are masters of this move.  They come in and save the day and the people say "who was that masked man?".

Watch Maliki run now and every other Iranian plant.  Iran HAS to be sweating now.  Banks cut off, oil sales restricted, illegal cash flow stopping.  Cue sharpened Iranian pitchforks and torches.  IMO.

Samson:  US official: Baghdadi's body was identified by DNA analysis   LINK

Photoman57:  Ok, so here is my question. How long does it take to do a DNA test ?  I think this dude has been gone for awhile and the current situation gave a pefect/planned time to announce this.

Mike100:  the untimely demise of Al baghdadi i refuse to believe to be a mere coincidence, funny how one of the most sought after leaders of ISIS has been killed as we pull our troops out of syria and the planned protests occurring in Iraq alongside the ousting of the iranian puppet politicians in the GOI. Lets be real here does anyone truly believe we just killed this guy or has he been on ice for a while? timing of this ALL  is very interesting and has to make one think was this ALL planned out?

ChrisC:  This is why I didn't jump up and yell.  It smells like the Bin Laden raid.  I don't like to think of Trump pulling an Obama move, but he is a showman and business is business.  They needed ISIS majorly over and for other reasons I believed this would come right before this was over.  DNA isn't hard to match, but it is rather convenient there isn't any identifiable piece left apparently.  I would completely believe it if there had not been the reports from Russia and the stories of his capture in Aleppo last year.  There will never be any certainty.  At least this time I don't expect the capture team to have a helicopter crash and wipe them all out in a week or two.

Don961:  Details of the US "covert" landing operation against al-Baghdadi in Idlib, Syria

ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed in a US landing operation in the Barisha area of northern Idlib province.

“The team broke into a compound where al-Baghdadi was in, there was a brief firefight, and Baghdadi himself was killed by an explosive vest.“

According to local sources who spoke to“ Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed ”, an air landing took place at 1:00 am Damascus time in Barisha area, north of Idlib, in which helicopters and F-16 aircraft participated. Gunship guided site.

The sources confirmed that between six and eight helicopters, accompanied by a warplane, circled circularly in the Barisha area near the Turkish border and fired several shots from its machine guns and small-sized rockets.

She explained that in the area where the helicopters flew, there are many military headquarters of the faction of the "guards of religion" Al-Qaeda and the "Islamic Party of Turkistan", noting that at least seven people were killed during the operation, three men, three women and a girl.

According to the agency "Smart" local that the helicopters carried out a landing on the two-storey house of a person known as "Abu Mohammed al-Halabi," known among the residents as a civilian, where they arrested him after clashes with gunmen in the neighborhood, and after the withdrawal of helicopters and warplanes carried out several raids On the place of engagement.

The sources said it was not known whether Baghdadi was killed or captured by special task fighters who carried out the airdrop, stressing that Baghdadi was at the targeted location.

The source pointed out that the elements of "HTS" hit a security cordon around the landing site, and made sure of the presence of al-Baghdadi after asking the residents of the neighborhood and children, "whether they saw the owner of this picture in the neighborhood," where they said they saw him on Saturday afternoon enter the neighborhood.

A video posted by activists from the area showed the site was completely destroyed.

Idlib governorate is controlled by factions that fall under the banner of the Syrian National Army and HTS, in addition to some jihadist factions close to al-Qaeda. The National Army and Tahrir al-Sham often advertise operations targeting IS cells in Idlib province.

The area of Barisha, which took place in the attack, is under the control of HTS, but there is a strong presence in the organization of the "guards of religion" close to al-Qaeda, which was targeted by a US raid on June 30 last. The Pentagon also targeted al-Qaeda leaders in Idlib, most notably its number two Abu al-Khair al-Masri, on February 26, 2016.

Al-Baghdadi's last photographer appeared on April 29, along with three masked men, during which he talked about his heroism and vowed more operations around the world.
