Samson: Trump favors a comprehensive trade agreement with Beijing

2019/10/8 11:22

US President Donald Trump has said he favors a comprehensive trade deal with Beijing rather than a partial treaty, just days before negotiations resume in Washington to try to break the deadlock caused by the tariff war. "I am inclined to a big deal" with China, the US president said on the sidelines of a partial trade treaty with Japan. He said a partial deal with China was "absolutely not our preference," and he welcomed the fact that the Chinese "are starting to buy a lot of American agricultural products."

The White House announced on Monday that high-level negotiations with China will resume this week in Washington, a sign of hope after the deterioration in the summer. He will meet Chinese Trade Envoy Liu He, US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, and Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin, starting Thursday, according to the White House. Lower-level negotiations have been going on since last month.

The talks will focus on key issues that the Americans have been seeking to reach agreement since last year: intellectual property rights, forcible transfer of technology, agriculture and implementation measures, the statement said. Trump said on Friday there was "a very good chance" that the two sides could reach an agreement. "We have good moments with China and bad ones," he said. "What we are doing is we are negotiating a very difficult agreement. Washington and Beijing are set to continue to increase tariffs on their mutual exports until the end of the year.    LINK

Samson:  Vietnam : Firms advised to use derivative instruments to minimise exchange rate risks

3rd October, 2019

Instead of borrowing foreign currency from banks, firms have to buy it from banks from October 1 this year

Experts suggested firms use more derivative instruments, such as futures and forward contracts, to minimise exchange rate risks when they can no longer borrow the US dollar from commercial banks, starting early this month.

According the central bank’s new regulation, banks have been banned from lending in foreign currency to pay for imports since October 1 this year in a bid to limit dollarisation in the local economy. From that date, instead of borrowing foreign currency from banks, firms have to buy it from banks.

The regulation applies to both domestic banks and branches of foreign banks in Viet Nam lending to anyone who is a Vietnamese resident. Previously, importers were allowed to take out loans in foreign currencies to pay for imports if they could prove they can generate enough foreign currency from their production and trading revenues to repay these loans.

Cấn Văn Lực, Chief Economist of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), said currently, many banks have provided derivative instruments so firms which want to buy foreign currencies in the future can use forward contracts. This tool helps reduce risks for firms because future exchange rates have been determined from the beginning.  According to Lực, the policy to stop foreign currency loans is in the anti-dollarisation roadmap and was announced early in the year so credit institutions have had time to prepare for the application of the new policy.

In general, he said, the relatively stable macro economy, low inflation and stable exchange rate have contributed to improving the confidence in the value of the Vietnamese đồng, which is expected to continually help reduce the hoarding of the US dollar.

The new policy thus will not cause difficulties for both banks and firms, but the central bank and commercial banks should still create a foreign currency trading market with better liquidity to further help firms and individuals in meeting their foreign currency demands. The ban on foreign currency lending also helps raise the competitiveness of domestic goods and firms, experts said.

Banking expert Nguyễn Trí Hiếu said the new regulation would level the playing field between enterprises producing for domestic consumption and those importing for export production. Earlier, only the latter was privy to dollar loans that generally have lower interest rates than đồng loans. Therefore, the ban would encourage production with domestic materials, he said. Besides, this will also help restrict the import of luxury goods, one of the main factors causing trade deficit and macro-instability, especially towards the end of the year when demand for import of consumer goods puts pressure on liquidity in the forex market.

The SBV aims to reduce the proportion of foreign currency in total outstanding debt to below 7.5 per cent in 2020, below 5 per cent in 2030, and to stop lending in foreign currency altogether by 2030. The ratio currently stands at 8.73 per cent, which the central bank estimates at around VNĐ176.47 trillion (US$7.59 billion).   LINK

Samson:  Vietnam : Exchange rate management policy proves effective

2nd October, 2019

The State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV)'s exchange rate management policy has been appropriate and effective, creating benefits for the economy and confidence for the market.

Speaking at a press conference held in Hà Nội on Tuesday to review the performance of the banking industry in the third quarter of 2019, SBV’s Governor Đào Minh Tú said the assessment was made by members of the National Monetary Policies Council in its recent meeting.

While countries worldwide devalued or appreciated their currencies sharply, the SBV had kept the local currency relatively stable, with the management policy based on the overall balance of the economy such as import and export, public debt, balance of payments and current accounts, Tú said.

Reports from the SBV showed currently, the foreign exchange rate in the domestic market is relatively stable, increasing and decreasing slightly in comparison with the large fluctuations of currencies around the world.

Specifically, on the first two days of this week, the USD Index on the international market increased continuously to reach a two-year record high of 99.2 points. However, in the domestic market, the exchange rate at commercial banks only increased and decreased slightly.

According to the nine-month economic report by the General Statistics Office, despite big economic changes in many countries, including the US Federal Reserve (Fed)’s decision to cut interest rates by 0.25 percentage points in mid-September, the USD/VNĐ exchange rate did not fluctuate significantly thanks to the SBV’s flexible exchange rate management policy. Specifically, the dollar depreciated slightly by just 0.11 per cent against the previous month, 0.49 per cent against December 2018 and 0.39 per cent against the same period in 2018.

As a result, the domestic market liquidity has been ensured while foreign currency transactions have been conducted promptly and smoothly. It has also helped the central bank net buy dollars to build up the nation’s foreign reserves.

According to Tú, many people think that the Vietnamese đồng needs to be devalued to support exports as they are slowing. However, Tú said, the slowdown is seen with all countries and it isn’t feasible to use exchange rates as a tool to promote exports as import volume – mainly materials and equipment to produce goods for export – is also very large.

In the future, Tú said the SBV would conduct open market operations and regulate the credit institution's liquidity at a reasonable level to stabilise the monetary market. It would also combine other monetary policy instruments and take flexible market interventions to stabilise the foreign exchange market, which would contribute to stabilising the macro-economy and supporting reasonable economic growth and build up the nation’s foreign reserves when there are favourable conditions, Tú said.   LINK

ChrisC:     What a well written and thoughtful piece.  Iran is like a strangler fig that has wrapped its tendrils all around Iraq and is choking it out.  The author is right, the Iranian militias can destroy Iraq but they can't build a thing.

Also, he is right that the Iranian plan is to keep the people below poverty level so that they are too weak to rebel and too afraid to object because they don't want to lose the little they have.  Notice the statement that the Iranian govt keeps their OWN people in the same state for the same reason!

This may take a military coup with us helping.  I know nobody wants to hear that, but the people have a standing army in their midst that isn't their's.

The bigger picture is to look at what we are facing as a World Event.  Truly, a movement is being made for good to overcome evil.  We are about to see what MAY be a coordinated movement here also.  President Trump has mobilized the Marine Corp Reserve nationwide and, IMO, is about to move on the traitorous element in our govt.

Iran is one of the cabal strongholds, hence the funneling of hundreds of billions to them by O.  Trump and the patriots are taking them out on multiple fronts, and it looks like it is all coming together now.

Don't think that the timing on this revolt was random, nor the mobilization of our military, nor the imminent collapse of our banking system which may have already started in Hong Kong and India.  Buckle up.

StephenMac63:  From what I'm seeing, everyone that has been in the position of the Prime Minister all have served a purpose. Maliki was chosen because he had 6 brothers that suffered the fate of Saddam and logic tells us that he would do anything to NOT be like Saddam....well, I guess logic didn't work on that one, he went rogue as he had the taste of riches and left the country riddled with ISIS.

In fact, he was encouraging ISIS as he gave the direct order that if ISIS shows up, drop your weapons and high tail it out of there. This allowed ISIS to have up to date equipment because we provided tanks, hummers, and ammo to the Iraqi Army that bailed.

Got rid of Maliki and inserted Abadi.....Abadi spent the majority of his term calming the people, encouraging the Iraqi Army to take back the country (with a little help from the USA being advisers) and the monetary and economic reform programs resumed after a hiatus due to ISIS and Maliki. Then Abadi was booted as the progress wasnt quick enough....couldn't form a government, ect.

Then we got Madhi, Madhi's primary purpose was to get both reforms on the fast track to completion, well, you know how that went. They kicked the can so many times, China won't even take the can for recycling because there isn't anything left.

Now, the citizens have had enough of Madhi. They are at the point that "anything would be better" because what they've got isnt working. So each PM has served their own purpose, all towards a goal. I think that the majority of folks there are Iranian influenced, either being born in Iran, or married an Iranian or even by the same religion.

Hopefully, they come up with new requirements for parliament members, such as being born in Iraq, married to Iraqi and more importantly....not to have Dual citizenship with any other country.

IMO, of course

Coco:  Adil Abdul-Mahdi took office as Prime Minister of Iraq on October 25, 2018 and was given one year to complete the reforms.Wondering if he will complete his mission in the time frame given, will an interim Prime Minister give the citizens their monetary reform or will it be Haider al-Abadi possibly winning the emergency election who completes it???  Frank has always said Abadi would be back, there would be life on Mars and Hillary will be there in the end.

Samson:  Hundreds of members of the Iraqi community demonstrate in Germany, Britain and the Netherlands

Samson:  Halbousi: Big whales must be put in jail
6th October, 2019

Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi said a cabinet reshuffle would be considered if Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi requested it.

"If the demands of the demonstrators are not met, I will come down with them to the street," Halbousi said in a televised interview, broadcast at an hour earlier. "Big whales" from corrupt people should be put in jail, he said.

Don961:   Iran plans to announce the death of Sistani to break the thorn of the demonstrations .. And activists: Sistani dead a century ago

Saturday, 05 October 2019 03:45 PM

Iran is planning to announce the death of Ali al - Sistani to break the demonstrations with a fabricated story about his assassination, to save their tails in Iraq by any means, according to informed sources .

Activists on the social networking site "Facebook", that Sistani is dead a century ago and does not exist and does nothing and does not exist at all inside Iraq.

There have been violent protests in Iraq since Tuesday, starting from Baghdad to demand better public services, job creation and fighting corruption, before spreading to provinces in the south.

The demonstrators raised the ceiling of their demands and called for the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, after the security forces resorted to violence to contain the protests.

Activists said it had been many years in which Sistani ruled Iraq without anyone seeing him. Does he really exist, is he sick, or is he dead, but they keep quiet about his death?

Certainly this Sistani is incapable of action, movement or pronunciation. It is often a patient who is not aware of what is around him, but his seal and signature come out fatwas from time to time.

According to informed sources, Sistani, since his last public appearance talking to people many years ago, has fallen into a coma and can no longer meet anyone or talk about anyone. All the letters and fatwas issued by Sistani are not known about them.

The militias and references rule in the name of a dead man is Sistani and therefore does not appear and can not appear even on the occasion of the Iraqi elections, the most important political event in Iraq.

The " Baghdad Post " monitors the reactions of Facebook activists to the Iran- Sistani plan :

The account said "" Zara Khoshnaw, "is dead became his horn Shaw last time he got out of his head?".

"Honar Duhoke's account added," My brother is already dead by age ۲۰۱۱ if he was a live video or even new photos. "

He continued the account, "Prince of honor," "is already what exists, if any does not increase or decrease."  link

Iobey777:  Really?? Been dead for a century, huh??   LOL

Rommy:  So you're saying Sistani has been cloned?

BWS:  Well that's bizarre!

MilitiaMan:  Lets hope the fire the citizens brought out over the past 5 days has the affect we await and they need! I have a feeling that the support they are getting from around the world, is squarely on the politicians backs now. They've been AWOKE imo..

It maybe very hard to roam the green zone with out having an uneasy feeling that one may have a target on their back effectively. It may be a very eerie feeling of the unknown consequences, if one has not been on the up and up in dealing with promises made and not kept, or using funds for personal gain, etc.. Those things the youth may have been privy to, may not be easily forgotten or left on deaf ears.

So, timing now is crucial for them to complete the reforms and get the market economy underway and international, ASAP. As that will usher in the employment and put purchase power in their hands.

They can not all be that dim to not know that lifting the value of the Sovereign Currency will actually fix things! imo ~ MM

HoosierGirl:  Well, I'm not so certain that just putting money in their hands is going to satisfy these "protesters" aka - IRAQI CITIZENS.  They are desperate to get a change in their government.  They've been promised purchasing power for years & seen nothing but Iranians stealing their money and jobs.  They want REAL change, not just money.  All IMO.  Of course, it's Iraq and we don't really know all that is happening.  If Frank and teams didn't have the connections they do and some are there to SEE the events, we'd be in the dark as to all of this.  I do appreciate all that we receive here at KTFA.  Thank you!

ChrisC:  I believe you are right, because they are playing for blood now.  They waited too long to pacify them and now the people want to see REAL change.  Rich people don't fight....unless you really p_ _ _  them off first.

Reminds me of when my little girl was about five and she got so mad she was shaking and I offered her some ice cream to calm down.  She just grabbed a handful of ice cream and threw it on the floor!

There is going to be a replacement of govt first before these folks calm down now.  Somebody is going to pay for the blood that got spilled before they get over it.  They waited too long to help the people.

I am sure Marie Antoinette was really wishing she had shared some of HER cake right before she walked up those stairs and these guys are going to be feeling the same soon.

MilitiaMan:  I am not so sure that the key isn't just that, raise the value of the currency and they will attain their demands as the increase in value will stimulate the market economy, hence, the demands will get met by attrition. You cannot switch at a program rate. The corruption, will be worked out over time (1,000 just yesterday), once they go to the new market economy, they'll have effectively neutered one of the snakes in the den. That is the Auctions.. They will not want to face that judgement day imo..

If they hold another as we known from the past, they'll have to watch their backs now, more than ever. They will need to be very careful from now on. This is one very important demand. The citizens know where that money goes!!  imo~ MM

JJimmyJJ:  And,  although, IMO, Iran is putting a lot of pressure on Mahdi to delay the rate change,  the rioters just put more pressure on Mahdi to do it. We'll see in the next few days who Mahdi fears more. If he doesn't,  I'm convinced he won't be prime minister any longer.

Whatever:  For now. Why, I now wonder, did the US allow so much corruption and pilfering without restraint? Our men and women shed their blood over there, and America gets bad-mouthed? I am actually upset at the amount of corruption that had been allowed to exist in Iraq. No jobs, even for college grads, no refrigeration (I just read this today/can anyone imagine?) on or cooling off a home, the same I'm sure would freak us all out, ok?

IMO but I do read the private blogs of citizens in Iraq. I just think this is far from over. The entire government of Iraq seems to exist on a different plane from the people. IMHO. Not being Pollyanna here anymore. The government of Iraq has had so much help and they let this happen. Under the watch of the USA which I don't get.

Not with all the years, funding, (billions upon billions maybe a trillion? ) My hard earned tax dollars that my children and I could use is paying for this) and not to mention, American blood and tears. I am actually disgusted. And very sad.

MilitiaMan:  A complex revaluation project  like this one, is one that has been orchestrated with the amount of so many substantial things to do and get done, all in conjunction with not only the GOI but the CBI , ISX, NASDAQ, IOSCO, IMF, WB, BIS, WTO as well, to get us to this stage we are in now and over the last 16 years has shown me that with all the corruption and graft stolen, it still has been a massive project that may just be about complete now. IMO

If once they finish the project 100%, then all the tax money you are mad about, will be for not. The UST has a very large amount that may pay for our war effort and the pain and suffering for those that sacrificed for us and the citizens of Iraq! My prayers are for all those that have suffered and I look forward to knowing that is not all, for not.

The effort of those demonstrators that seem to have stirred a rats nest could have been a very well orchestrated and timed event, even with the sad side effects that reared their ugly heads into the crowds that took peoples lives again! So, yes being disgusted that the effects of the corrupt that are entrenched into the Iraq way of life politically, is not just Iraqi based.

The so called brotherly neighbor has tentacles deep inside helping them selves to the cash cow called Currency Auctions. I don't disagree, there are things in the country that are and will be far from over. However, one hell of a good way to solve that is to stop the auctions, raise the value, which will provide jobs that will come from going international with a new internationally excepted currency. That will be the facilitator for global trade for the world which will in turn beget purchase power for the citizens, while they grow economically with the new jobs created from the positive effects of raising the value. imo

So, as ugly as it gets, that is unfortunate for us, as the world is full of unfortunate circumstances!! The light may have been dimmed over and over, over the years, yet, there still is a flicker of it today with them raising the curfew.. imo ~ MM

.KTFA:

RGJ:  All imo, something to ponder. I am excited for the Iraqi citizens if the government follows through with the plan to put in a caretaker govt for a year to rid the government of Iranian influence.

Mahadi must go and Saleh would be great imo. I am really fascinated by the prospect of Dr. Shabibi being the finance minister, I always thought he would play a role at the end. Imo only, I believe if this happens we will be waiting for January 2020- I have been in this almost 13 years and I remember Dr. Shabibi stating he likes the beginning of a year and the middle of the year.

If this all happens, they will take some time to get ready imo- January is right around the corner. Before you think I am being negative, I tell you I am more excited with this prospect than the current situation. This is not against Franks intel, I appreciate everything he does, this is just imo and food for thought.

OlLar:  I believe he said although it's not the only time you can change the value ,it's the best time for bookkeeping purposes, in light of the circumstances, i believe he will make an exception.

ChrisC:  Yes, I do believe he will make an exception.  The best way to understand things is to think of how you yourself would view or handle something.  I have said for a long time that I COULD NOT BELIEVE the Iraqis were being so patient.

If I had been getting a handful of rice and beans and getting my water from a truck for over a decade while I saw my elected officials stealing from me and living in opulence I would have been burning something down a long time ago.

Okay, they are finally there.  Having gotten that mad and seeing 100 or more of your brothers killed and thousands injured, do you think they are going to just go peacefully back to their huts and wait for somebody to shuffle their papers and several months from now say "Ok, now it is time".  H_ _L NO!

If you were in a position of power and you wanted to smooth things over, would you wait that long?  Same answer.

Corrupt politicians and Iranians have to go NOW, the Iraqi people need their money back NOW, and they need to start being treated fairly NOW or blood is going to keep flowing until those things occur.  It is strange that with the currency imminently being released that these protests were orchestrated by the Iranian religious leadership.  Surely they would care more about the people than that.

Popeye7:  Interesting that it outed them as well... Orchestrated by whom in order to do so?... The corrupt will eventually fall into the pits they have dug...

GodLover:  agree 100% the only way the citizens calm down is for their Government to comply with the citizen's demands imo. No matter what the Government says, the citizens CANNOT believe.....it will be proven a lie again imo. The Government has proven they are not below habitually lying to the citizens imo. The citizens NEED to continue the protests/riots until their demands are physically accomplished!.....imo.

What I don't want to see is any of the citizen's giving in to anymore empty promises.

Tommy17:  I think with the Iraqi citizens demanding reforms and wanting jobs you would have to implement reforms and announce article 8 soon.   We know the cbi is ready to release the last part of article 2 and give them buying power

LoneStarCowboy:  ~Seems unusual for September 30th the CBI tells the Citizens, "We are bringing you the New Lower Denoms.   Then Saturday, October 1st, just one day later, the Holy Cleric says, "Let all H E double L breakout"    Something Stinks and could be a great big squirrel moment!  All in my humble Cowboy Opinion!

MilitiaMan:  The youth have "AWOKE" the political class just, as they have "AWOKE" the Clerics. They have put fear in the minds of those running the #@*! show. They clearly have voiced themselves, at least to be a force that is not what has been in the past a norm, if you will. They are random in there coordination. Thus, not as predictable as to when and where they will demonstrate.

Those that are "AWOKE" now may see that if they don't cease the corruption, i.e. "CURRENCY AUCTIONS" for an instance, cease the political "QUOTAs", provide "EMPLOYMENT" opportunities, too,  they'll have more fire to deal with imo.  So they'll be or could be making a major mistake if they run a "CURRENCY" auction tomorrow..

They'll be making a major mistake if they don't give the basic needs of the youthful citizens results too. I am sure the youth realize that $300 - $450 billion in graft during their up bringing has not gone by with out notice.

The nice cars, the housing, the perks the elite have used and abused in front of them. The youth have memories. They last for very long periods of time. I would suggest If I was a Politician in Iraq, I would be on the street today and seriously be talking and taking note of the real demands and firmly taking some actions.. Then again, that could be very dangerous, especially if you have corruption charges in the wings. imo ~ MM

Meanwhile, large numbers of demonstrators and representatives of the popular currents flocked to Tahrir Square in Baghdad for the fifth day in a row to demonstrate against corruption and repression and the lack of decent living or jobs.

For its part, the Arab League called on the Iraqi government to calm down and start a serious dialogue with all Iraqis leading to the removal of the reasons for the protests.   link

Don961:  Protests in Iraq .. gift poor or revolution revolution?

- 4 Hours Have Passed

The images of protesters against the current government and those demanding their departure are similar; after complete despair of “patchwork” solutions, false promises and the acquisition of money. There are fundamental differences this time from the previous protests, and political analyst Dr. Yahya al-Kubaisi that what distinguishes the current demonstrations that they started without any introductions or indicators, and it is noticeable is the age groups that form the core of this movement, they are young people, unlike past demonstrations.
Al-Kubaisi adds that young people see that the corruption of the political class and structural corruption in general leads to the denial of the right to participate in the rent held by the authoritarians, pointing out that the demand for services and infrastructure has remained in the background of the scene demanding the overthrow of the regime.

He also did not go head of the Iraqi Group for Strategic Studies and political analyst Dr. Wathiq al-Hashemi away from Kubaisi, explaining that the government was surprised - like political blocs - out demonstrations, as they were popular calls and through the media, without the sponsorship of well-known partisan parties, as it was Previously, which was called by the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr or the Communist Party.

Characteristics of the revolution
According to the media and human rights activist Khaled al-Sakr, the current movement came in protest against corruption, injustice, low living standards and high levels of unemployment, which is frightening due to the lack of job grades and job opportunities, which were reduced to groups belonging to the ruling parties.

The head of the Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights, Dr. Hoshyar Malu, contrasts this by saying that it is neither a poor revolution nor an Arab spring as much as a revolution to demand legitimate rights. Its negative impact on Iraqi politics in the eyes of the demonstrators.

The excessive violence used by security forces against protesters and civilian casualties caused by the use of live bullets, gas bombs, media blackout, and the use of methods used by authoritarian states such as Internet censorship, counter propaganda and letters of suspicion and incitement to accuse the protesters of “Baathists and Saddamists”, al-Kubaisi said. In addition, the Prime Minister's recent statement did not depart from this methodology, in which he spoke of "non-peaceful aggressors who raised slogans punishable by law threatening public order and civil peace"; to increase the size and intensity of these demonstrations; Z limit that forced authorities to declare a state of curfew in Baghdad and some provinces.

Regarding the expected results of the protests, Al-Kubaisi said, “Despite the unprecedented spread of the current protest movement and the great sympathy I have received from the people, the numbers of participants are still relatively limited and have not reached the point where they pose a real threat to the regime, so it is difficult to determine the path that can It will take it in the coming weeks, either toward escalation - especially if it is done in the context of defending the authority and the site and from parties of a problematic nature such as armed factions linked to Iran - or toward a gradual fading after the discharge of anger. ”

Legally
, the legal advisor, Dr. Mohammed Jassem al-Ameri, explained that the government's practices against the demonstrators are punishable offenses as stipulated in the Iraqi constitution of 2005, adding that Article 38 of the Constitution gave the right of Iraqis to demonstrate peacefully.

Al-Amiri asserts that the brutality of the riot forces by using live bullets and killing and injuring hundreds of protesters are murders according to the Iraqi Penal Code No. 111 of 1969;

The demonstrations witnessed in Baghdad and the rest of the provinces since the beginning of this month differ from all its predecessors; because they are not supported by any internal political or external; Make them become the criminal's rule.

Don961:  The demonstrators impose their word with nine main demands, including the overthrow of the regime and the accountability of the killers

 Saturday 05 October 2019

Baghdad - Writings
You did not understand our message and did not listen well to our demands, but confronted us with repression and murder in cold blood for 4 days and your oppression and bullets is still your means to communicate with the protesters.

Today we announce it to you and to the whole world that no politician will kidnap our movement or our will this time.

The message of the Iraqi demonstrators on the fifth day of the protests that began since Tuesday, October 1, 2019, to the Iraqi authorities and bodies controlling the country's capabilities and worshipers announced today in a document of nine items are the main requests they said they will not give up as follows:

First: the overthrow of the current political system, which was characterized by failure and deterioration of living conditions and discrimination and injustice.

Second, we do not accept the recycling of solutions, because the current system is a waste that the protesters do not accept to recycle again.

Third: Writing a new Iraqi constitution that shares academic and popular rules from within.

Fourth: Prohibition of all personalities who participated in the political process for 16 years and proved their failure in the management of the country.

Fifth: The United Nations should supervise the process of change and get rid of the political system and its parties, cronies and tails

Sixth: Initiate public courts on all political and religious symbols that participated in the political process and recover the looted funds.

Seventh: We do not accept resignation or dismissal but change the political system

Eighth: No politician has the right to speak on behalf of the demonstrators, especially those who participated in the management of the country for 16 years of failure, destruction and destruction

Ninth: Accountability of the security leaders who caused the killing and wounding of the demonstrators and referring them to trial

The demonstrators then concluded their document "Death to the traitors and enemies of the people and killed by the parties and politicians hired."   li

Iobey777:  I can't help but wonder if Sadr and Sistani knew what was going to happen when they told the people to demonstrate the Goi?  Surely..IMO..they were not that naive to think that those who did not want to see the RI wouldn't take advantage of the situation and cause the problems we are seeing?

IMO..the RI is still ready to be implemented..maybe it's the right time..or maybe not..but I do believe there IS a time for everything and I still believe the time for it is now!! We shall see what happens!

Maybe..just maybe.. it might be the perfect time to finish the RI and make the people happy and shut the mouths of those who are against it!!

**************************

MilitiaMan:  Fascinating that what I started to see in the demonstrations at the onset, we are not alone in our thinking now.

The hijacking of the peaceful demonstrations to set an agenda reeks of those that do not want Iraq to succeed in the reform effort, and may / would likely lay in the hands of the corrupt who have everything to lose.

Just as the demand for the Auctions to Cease is threatening the gravy train the corrupt shudder to have to give up. What may or could have been a disaster, may actually been planned brilliantly to get the effect needed for the RI.

A Wag the Dog type scenario, risky as they can be, but, if placed accordingly by professionals that have had experience, they may have calculated things to be in our favor.

As those demands the citizens placed in the public domain are core issues that if all put into effect could be a game changer~ in the short term.. imo ! ~ MM

Don961:  Today .. Baghdad is on a date with popular demonstrations and protesters identify 7 demands: get to know them

Politics  ,   2019-10-01 16:58

BAGHDAD - Iraq

is scheduled to witness the capital Baghdad, on Tuesday, popular demonstrations described as "million" by the organizers to demand a range of issues, most notably work and services and has not adopted any political party so far, the responsibility for the start of these demonstrations, headed by these leader The Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, is known for his protest plan, in addition to other political currents capable of attracting and mobilizing the street, including the leaders of the Popular Mobilization. However, supporters of Tuesday's demonstration did not prevent the Sadrists from being thrown into the protests in order to gain momentum like Sadr's supporters are doing in similar events. Proponents of the demonstrations aired earlier statements by Moqtada al-Sadr urging his followers to protest.

A list of 7 demands

The organizers of the demonstrations published a statement on the pages of social networking sites followed by "Yes Iraq" represented their demands, which will start Tuesday afternoon, Bhashtak '# Nzl_lak_haqqi', and the demands are:

1 - Declaration of a real war on corruption and open all files of corruption and with the help of international bodies specialized in corruption cases and legislation of law where do you get this.

2. Preventing the interference of political parties and blocs in government work, separating political entitlement from government positions and establishing the Federal Service Council.

3 - Formation of the Construction Council, which consists of specialists to be responsible for all projects and future plans of the country.

4. Really support the private sector, protect the domestic product to eliminate unemployment, move the local economy, maintain foreign currency within the country and open the door for real domestic and foreign investments.

5 - Cancellation of the currency auction and the adoption of free market policy.

6. To confine arms to the State in a genuine manner and to abolish all armed manifestations and the militarization of society

7- Restructuring all government sectors, especially the service ones, to be real productive sectors.

How did things evolve?

The story began when protesters were dispersed by high-school protesters in Baghdad, followed by beatings and water-throwing by riot police, sparking widespread resentment among the public. Hundreds of demonstrators in Tahrir Square, Baghdad, Najaf and Karbala have called on the House of Representatives to open an investigation to reach the perpetrators and hold accountable those responsible for the attacks on protesters with higher degrees, while many unions and unions confirmed their standing with the right to demonstrate and express their opinion and demand job opportunities.

It is guaranteed by the Constitution, condemning repression and unjustified methods of force used to resolve peaceful protests. Protesters who gathered under the monument of freedom, after a call by activists, warned of "irresponsible behavior and excessive violence directed towards the holders of higher degrees who demand their constitutionally guaranteed rights", calling for "consideration and implementation of their demands, with compensation for those affected Solemn apology to them. ”

Al-Saadi is on the crisis line To make matters worse and increase the protests circle is the issuance of the government headed by Adel Abdul-Mahdi, a decision to transfer senior leader of the counter-terrorism service Abdul Wahab al-Saadi to the Department of the Ministry of Defense and freeze his military powers.

The government also erected a statue of Saadi in the center of Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province, which generated great anger among the people there. Witnesses said that "at three o'clock after midnight yesterday, a column composed of army and counter-terrorism removed the statue of Saadi after encircling the neighborhoods of light and media in the city." Saadi is very popular in most Iraqi provinces, but his weight is concentrated in Mosul, the capital city of Nineveh province, which he oversaw liberation from ISIS in 2017.   link

BillA:  These 7 demands were written by Intelligent people who know and understand exactly what they are demanding. IMO…..Makes one wonder, who is orchestrating these demonstrations by the citizens.

Samson:  Foreign banks join Russian Swift

4th October, 2019
According to Mehr News Agency quoted Sputnik, Ala Bakyna, director of payment systems the National Bank of Russia, said eight foreign bank taxation system Aspyafas were connected to 3 of these connections are fully operational and five other banks in Technical preparations are now needed.

Following the Ukraine crisis of 2009, when Western countries attempted to block Russia's access to the Swift payment system, Russia created its own payment network, called the Financial Message Transfer System, or SPFS.

Speaking at the Banking and Retail Summit in Moscow, Bakina said: "We have created the opportunity for foreign banks and financial institutions to connect to the SPF system." Today, the system has about 5 users, including 3 foreign banks.  "The foreign banks are already users of the system and are fully operational, while another 9 are undergoing technical steps to connect to the network," he explained. These banks are from the Eurasian Economic Union.

The SPFS network now accounts for 5% of Suef's traffic within Russia, while in year 2 it was 2% to 4%.

Last month, Yuri Oshakov, an aide to the Russian president, said Iran was a Russian partner and the two countries were trying to connect Russian SPFS to the Iranian alternative to Swift.    LINK

MilitiaMan:  This picture should make you or us all smile.. The CBI on the 10/01/2019 has since been in extensive research, preparation and coordination to go live globally!

They have the ability of global distribution now from the looks of it. They'll need to tell us the new rate for the nscn's too. Frank told us the banks have been saturated with then.  imo Let that sink in.

Aside from the what appears to me as relatively controlled chaos with the demonstrations of late. That is not necessarily a bad thing for us (Sadly some have been injured and lost their lives.), however, the affect it has is pushing reforms into the forefront just as this article is showing us they are geared for to go live now into the future.

All is done for a purpose, and both being completely different things are in line with a need to push and move forward and enter a global market economy.

What better place to do it than the FX markets.. Many demonstrations are done for a purpose and have orchestration and coordination among participants, just as the FX has participants that need similar coordination to be effective.

So, at this stage with Al Sistani talking to the citizens today, makes me feel that the effects from the somewhat orchestrated events since the 1st,  the day this article was made public tells me the canvas they painted is just about dry now. imo

All is good for us and those looking for a bright future in Iraq. (Aside from those aforementioned.) So lets see if the saturation and distribution gets out to the citizens this weekend or there real close.

The 15th is not far off. Lots of things line up on that date.. As in the 2020 Budget, citizens demands, China Taxes and Tarrifs with the USA, etc.  ~ imo ~ MM
