Central Bank of Iraq   Banks   Economy News – Baghdad   On Thursday, the Central Bank announced that it is taking steps to join the Official Forum of Monetary and Financial Institutions (OMFIF), an independent global think tank for central banks, pension funds and financial institutions with $36.2 trillion in investment assets.

"Membership in this forum provides insight into key investment topics with two integrated channels in analysis and meetings, through high-level practical exchanges and content, as well as participation in meetings conducted in cooperation with The International Monetary Fund, the Bank of England and the German Central Bank."

"The accession process benefits from capacity-building opportunities for mid-level and senior staff, with OMFIF developing dedicated member projects in London, Singapore, Washington and other global financial centres," he said.

Economy News – Baghdad   Al-Rafidain Bank announced Thursday that its branches are the only ones that grant advances to employees and retirees.

"The granting of advances to retirees and civil servants of the home country is through its branches, which are the only authorized entity for grants," the bank's information office said in a statement seen by Economy News.

The bank warned against "dealing with any entity that claims to give advances in return for certain amounts and is not responsible for any entity that lends the employee or retiree."

He called on the bank to "not believe the rumors and false news promoted by some social networking sites regarding the granting of advances to a particular category and the approval of the bank's social networking sites to see the bank's activities and news regarding the release of advances and loans". http://economy-news.net/content.php?id=17671

Economy News _ Baghdad  Rafidain Bank on Sunday announced a 100-million-dollar loan mechanism for housing purchases.

"A 100-million-dinar loan, which is granted at a maximum limit to employees to purchase housing units in investment projects, should cover 50 percent of the employee's total salary and monthly interest," the bank said in a statement.

"These loans have been set by the most important conditions for the employee to be permanent owners and continue to serve with a letter of support from his department, preferably from those whose salary has been settled with the bank, in addition to not having received a residential loan from any bank," he  said.

The Central Bank of Iraq announced Tuesday that it is continuing to establish a banking relationship with the World Bank's Ramp Reserve Management Advisory Program, indicating that the relationship included investing in its bonds.

"The relationship involved investing in the bonds it issues," the bank said in a statement received by Economy News.

"Through the Department of Foreign Investments and Remittances, a plan has been prepared to cooperate with the World Bank on the side of reserve management, and to invest in dollar-denominated bonds, with at least $300 million," the bank added.

The World Bank's Ramp Reserve Management Advisory Program is a platform for advising on the development of asset and reserve management in developing countries and international institutions to enable them to maximize their financial resources. http://economy-news.net/content.php?id=17645

Economy News – Baghdad  Al Rafidain Bank announced on Tuesday the launch of additional supplementary advances for employees of state departments ranging from (5, 10, 15, 20, 25) million dinars and estimated salary of the employee, through the international MasterCard card and their salaries are home to the bank.

"The double advance spoofed twice as much as the employees of the state departments to more than 11,500 employees who have already been granted personal advances and who have submitted the second additional advance and were disbursed to them by MasterCard," the bank's press office said in a statement.

"The disbursement of this advance was made through the customer's fingerprint and then informed the employee by sending him a text message notifying him of his advance, after he completed all the legal procedures to give it to him and spend it through electronic payment tools to which the financial balance was filled," the statement said. http://economy-news.net/content.php?id=17637

Baghdad-In  A member of the Strategic Planning Committee MP Mohammed Iqbal al-Saedi, on Wednesday, said that there are clear signs of the birth of a new political trend, and the destruction of political blocs each other is to avoid the drift generated by the next wave of change.

"In Iraq, the conflict is taking shape on a daily basis, and clear signs of the birth of a new political trend, based on an audience that has begun to break restrictions and break down legacies that have been deposited with the new political system," he said in a tweet.

"The disruption of political leaders and the destruction of each other is an attempt to run forward to avoid the drift generated by the next wave of change," he  said.

Iraq sent a letter to the Security Council accusing Kuwait of pursuing a policy of imposing a fait accompli by making geographical changes in the maritime border between the two countries after mark 162 in Khor Abdullah by strengthening a shallow area [Fashet al-Ayj] and establishing a unilateral edifice of a square structure on it. "This has no legal basis in the joint plan to regulate maritime navigation in Khor Abdullah," she said.

"Yesterday, the Trebil customs center achieved a daily revenue of nearly 2.5 billion dinars in a series of qualitative jumps achieved by these centers and most of the centers scattered at border crossings," the authority said in a statement received by The Economy News.

"The continued increase in revenue rates achieved in most of its customs centers is a natural result of the efforts of its staff working there as well as the outstanding management during the current period," she said.

"Its realized revenues are included in the Ministry of Finance's account with the Central Bank of Iraq, which is subject to audit by the Financial Supervisory Office and thus is the highest revenue to raise the state budget after oil revenues despite the challenges, constraints and severe shortages in numbers," she said. It has carried out operations in a number of Iraqi areas, and these cells continue to pose a serious threat in these areas, and constitute an obstacle to the return of displaced persons to their homes, pointing out the importance of coordination between peshmerga forces and Iraqi forces to counter the threat of this organization, where the factors that led to Isis has begun carrying out terrorist activities in a number of areas, posing a serious threat to its population.

"The intelligence services of the international coalition have the information, capability and ability to use advanced devices, through which they have been able to penetrate and monitor the organization," said Imad Alou, deputy director of the Republican Center for Security and Strategic Research.

"There are reports and information from within ISIS, and that information indicates that the group is actually regrouping its capabilities, and this is evident through its terrorist operations and various movements both inside Iraq and inside Syria."

"ISIS continues to acquire weapons, explosives and materiel, and is clearly logistically supported, as it is used as a pretext for U.S. and coalition forces to remain in Iraq."

Kaperoni   I don't know if that is possible or not. As well I don't know if the CBI documents a difference between emoney and paper money. The question is legitimate and it is worth investigating but there may be other factors that come into play as well.

"With this financial contribution, it is becoming one of the top 10 UNDP donors in the area of re-stability in Iraq," the Iraqi government said in a statement.

"These projects include the rehabilitation of infrastructure and the provision of basic services, such as water, electricity, health care, housing and education, in liberated and damaged areas, particularly in Nineveh, Anbar, Salah al-Din, Diyala, Kirkuk and Basra provinces," the government said.

"This agreement reflects Iraq's commitment to strategic partnership with the United Nations, aimed at restoring stability in liberated areas, restoring displaced persons, and building and rehabilitating infrastructure in provinces that have suffered and been affected by the country's conditions," the statement said.

The UNDP's Reconstruction in Iraq project, which has completed more than 2,000 resettlement projects to date, benefits more than 8 million Iraqis.

Looks like the entire world is about to eat some major @#$%. I respect Myladies, Kap, and Skelfa's take as they seem the most practical historically speaking.

However, I choose to see the glass half full and will therefore, defy their logic and say that Trump and the other Global leaders are going to do debt forgiveness, which we have seen indicators with Chase in Canada, the 100% disabled vets getting their student loan forgiven and I believe theres more coming down the pipeline based multiple sources like Robert David Steele, who is on record saying that Trump is going to hydrate from the bottom up.

The debt simply cant be paid back. Then the next move or simultaneously a GCR will kick in. The alternative is scary and all this global misery and debt is the responsibility of a select few that think we are all useless eaters. and it's about time We the People take back what's ours and that's our personal sovereignty. Slaves no  more!

China needs to get a handle on HK first and if China mishandled HK and the silk road participants are watching it, might just mimic Trump's decision on the TPP. I guess there were a few articles recently that caused a frenzy and I had an email explosion from long time followers asking me if the nonsense the usual gurus were sputtering was true.

It was actually just easier for me to make a post than write individual emails. I put all these links and examples out few years ago too. In my opinion it's really just a common sense issue.

Some folks have it some do not. Iraq is not in a vacuum and the biggest pill to swallow is the one where we finally have to admit to ourselves that we were just foolish and uneducated and gullible and dazzled by bull**** to think we would be millionaires overnight.

Factually speaking the real money in the dinar has been being made by many gurus and Jesus praying pariahs over the past 16 years. That is one trade I was definitely on the wrong side of..LOL

But i do have a conscience and some moral fiber I guess and do not see myself taking advantage of the unknowing in the name of Jesus.

Zig, the facts remain the same they are in black and white and date back for decades. Those who choose to accept what deleting the zeros mean will be able to make a plan.

Those that do not will be most likely jumping off bridges either way I do not want to debate the issue with anyone. the facts are there the history is there and it will not be rewritten for Iraq.

I am simply saying there will not be overnight millionaires, the currency has a value and when it is excepted internationally there will be a trade to be made and the current value will be leveraged at an institutional level and a private level for those holding enough. I mean isn't that what is done with currency trading every day?

Currently the dinar sits at 1190 if the value raises against the dollar to even 1130 1140 1150 that is a good day in the currency trading arena.....  Mary
