Being captain obvious, we should know what the dinar rate should be until the end of August at the earliest , very soon! Kurdistan Regional Government spokesman Gutiar Adel denied, on Saturday, that there is any delay in distributing salaries in the region in any way, pointing out that the distribution process continues according to the announced schedule

MilitiaMan:  Seems odd they say they have the money to pay salaries, yet there is nothing, outside of the Kurds getting paid. And they are in a process through the 15th? This is not a normal circumstance is it? Could this be a roll out of sorts? I don't know but, the pattern I see is not normal behavior.

If there was an urgency to sort salaries, and they have the money borrowed which goes against what they say they are going to do in many articles about going to the secondary markets, raising the value of the IQD, etc.. This is only the Kurds region.. hmmm

Take note of the process they posture is out to the 15th of July.. Same as the last day of Alak's tenure at the CBI... LEts not forget that the PM called them out about selling oil to Israel. That wouldn't go over very well that they stole all that money.. Hence they are probably pressured to pay up or get strung up.. imo ~ MM

The Border Ports Authority announced, on Saturday, that it achieved revenues of more than (24) billion dinars at the Tarabel border crossing during the month of June.

So they are still hard at it. Don't forget the USA and UK have been asked to participate in the dialogue... The communication is on going and there is a question of will.. If the two parties have the will to be fair, then they can move along and set the mechanisms in place to resolve the outstanding issues of budgets, salaries, etc.. 

The mechanism is in effect the rate at which they get paid.. imo.. 

 Keep in mind they said they are paying salaries in the Kurdistan Region and only thus far, they are to pay them apparently in-stages through the 15th. But, have they actually started like they suggest? They clearly suggest that the mechanisms are not yet reached.. But, if there is will, then there is hope.. The will may be to save their skin and their bank accounts!!

They have been at this dialogue, this time for many days on end it seems. The pressure is on. Will they push this out for months on end?

Typically, when the Kurds get their feelers hurt they high tail it home.. They have not done so.. Another pattern change.. This time the leverage that the new PM has on them , whereby caught stealing or selling oil to Israel and keeping the proceeds un beknown to the Fed Gov until now, has them backed into a corner.. The PM has them outed.

The citizens of all of Iraq now know the story too. imo.. Kind of hard to argue about it when they get caught red handed. All the years that there has been graft and at the suffering of the citizens.. I'll bet the will of the Kurds to get this done and behind them now is better, now the ever.. imo.. We shall see.. - MM

Flags can both unify and divide. This July Fourth can the American flag play a unifying role and actually bring the country together during a divisive time?

SALT LAKE CITY — Less than an hour after Neil Armstrong took his “giant leap” in 1969, he and fellow Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin unveiled a plaque. “We came in peace for all mankind,” it proclaimed, alongside a photo showing all the continents of the Earth. Moments later, they planted an American flag into the lunar dust coating the Sea of Tranquility — a decision, in light of coming for “all mankind,” that was heavily discussed and contested.

In a post on writer Bruce Watson’s American history blog, “The Attic,” he explains that debate raged at NASA over whether to plant the American flag or the United Nations flag. Perhaps even no flag at all.

The universe beyond our planet had been declared neutral, and Americans didn’t want to be viewed as colonizing the moon. But since the lunar landing was a distinctly American achievement, made possible by thousands of people of diverse backgrounds from across the country, NASA decided the plaque would “dilute any jingoism,” in Watson’s words, and chose to go ahead with planting the stars and stripes.

Long before and since, the American flag’s history is one of unifying and dividing people. Its meaning is up to individual and changing interpretations.

Post Civil War, the banner was used to signify what it meant to be an American. In the early 1940s, veneration of the flag conflicted with religious liberty in two landmark Supreme Court cases. It was coopted by liberal and conservative causes throughout the 20th century. And this year, ahead of a presidential election, flying the flag (or not) has been read by some as a signal of partisan loyalties.

“Flags have no intrinsic meaning,” flag expert Ted Kaye said. “They’re just pieces of cloth. They only have meaning that we attribute to them.”

Flags, he added, are supposed to be “for all.” They’re supposed to unify. But this July Fourth, questions about whether the American flag is a unifier — or can become one again — swirl throughout the country.

Why Flags Matter

Kaye’s office overflows with flags. As one of the world’s most prominent vexillologists — someone who studies flags — he boasts a collection of some 300-400. He also (literally) wrote the book on flag design, and he’s consulted on redesigns from Fiji to the ongoing process in Salt Lake City. There’s perhaps no one better equipped to explain the origins of flags — a story that begins in China.

Although it was only first declared a federal holiday in 1941, the Fourth of July has a long tradition of celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence since its signing in 1776.

Today America is in the midst of a historical time. The year has weathered attacks on health, economy and social change. For some, it’s hard to remember why the country is worth celebrating. Though the road may be rough, the principles of the Founding Fathers are worth keeping and emulating.

Perhaps the words of those who envisioned a free America can once again inspire us to study our history and use those lessons to move forward toward that higher goal of a more perfect union.

Your Exchange/ Redemption: In your exchange it was advised to be transparent, cooperative and answer questions honestly so that you wouldn’t be suspect of gaining exchange proceeds for criminal or terrorist purposes.

On Zim Redemption: They wanted as many Zim holders as possible to redeem their Zim in the first four days after the Secure Websites and 800#s email notifications went out. When you called the 800# let them know if you had Zim as it could change where you did your redemption. Any currencies you had would be exchanged at the same time as your Zim Bonds.

Except for seniors, all Zim would be placed on long term payouts. The longer the payout period you choose, the higher interest rates you could obtain on monies left in your account during your payout period. According to Bruce that rate could be up to 9.45%. In that long term payout, you should calculate how much you need for the first 90 days – until your first quarterly payment and then ask for that amount to get you through to your first payout.

There was no more 20/80% for your personal use and your humanitarian project. You would have full access to all of your funds (except those in your structured long term payout). If you had ten or less 100 Trillion Dollar Zim Notes, you had an opportunity to negotiate a better rate than those Zim holders with over ten 100 Trillion notes.

Contract Rates: You would be offered the Default Rates at your appointment. The Parliamentary Integrity Committee confirmed that it possesses complete information regarding the smuggled funds, pointing out that lists have been prepared to recover these funds from outside Iraq.   

"The committee has a complete list of the smuggled funds, in which the names of the people and the funds are located outside Iraq," the committee's rapporteur, Abdul Amir al-Mayahi said, adding that "Iraq has a lot of money abroad, part of which is frozen and the other is in dishonest hands."  

Al-Mayahi indicated that “the Corona pandemic prevented movement on those funds,” noting that “the Integrity Committee summoned the head of the money recovery department outside of Iraq to find out what before and after 2003 of the funds, and after the end of the pandemic, the file will be fully followed up.”  LINK

Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi meets a number of Iraqi businessmen

July 2- 2020  The Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, received today, Thursday, a delegation representing a number of Iraqi businessmen.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Kazemi listened to the comments of businessmen regarding their business and investments in Iraq, the problems and challenges facing them, the obstacles that hinder the activation of the private sector inside the country, and ways to overcome them.

He stressed that the current government is a government of consensus, solidarity and national understanding to overcome the crisis and cross Iraq to safety, and not a government to settle accounts, so that it affects the provision of services to the citizen and achieve what he aspires to, but the target is corrupt, indicating that Iraq is going through many challenges today that come at the forefront Corona pandemic and its repercussions on the economy, calling on all parties, unions, as well as the private sector, and social activities to unite and cooperate to face these challenges.

The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of the private sector in Iraq, and the need to strengthen and encourage it to take its leadership role in a way that enables it to revitalize the Iraqi economy, indicating that the government is today strongly going to support the private sector, and finding the appropriate climates to activate it and its contribution to building the country.

Mr. Al-Kazemi said that the government seeks to make Iraq an attractive environment for investment and investors and not a repulsive environment, noting that there are extortion operations that the private sector is exposed to, and that the government has deterrent measures to account and prosecute those who blackmail and bargain, stressing that the doors of the Prime Minister’s Office are open to businessmen To submit their complaints about any extortion they might be subjected to, stressing that any corruption case is dealt with in all seriousness and prosecuting the owners legally.

Mr. Al-Kazemi stressed that the government is working to liberate the Iraqi economy from its mortgage with oil, and to pay attention to the sectors of industry, agriculture, tourism, services, investment, transport, etc., stressing the government's seriousness in fighting corruption in all joints of the state, especially border crossings.

The Prime Minister stressed the need for the private sector to pay taxes in order to boost state revenues, as well as withdraw any leave or investment opportunity that has not been activated.

A deputy monitors the major mistakes of the Al-Kazemi government in the economic dimension

Praatha News Agency117 2020-07-03  Member of Parliament, Basem Khashan, observed the most important mistakes of the government of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi in the economic dimension inside the country.

Khashan said in a press statement that "the most important mistakes of the government of the current Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, that it is not productive in the file dealing with corruption, the economic crisis, and the file of border crossings, the most important of which has not taken any serious steps so far."

Launching employee salaries

Oil prices drop as fears of a recovery in fuel demand falter

Identity theft was also up by 24 percent that year. Cybercrime is certainly on the rise, but did you know that thieves can get your data in a much easier way than trying to hack some company's database?

All they need is access to your old mail, credit cards, and debit cards. "Bank statements, credit card statements and other documents that contain your personal information should never be disposed of in an insecure manner," says Debbie Guild, chief security officer at PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.

"By wadding up a document such as a financial statement and throwing it in the trash or disposing of it in another insecure manner, you could be at risk for identity theft."

What do identity thieves need to be successful? Your full name and address is enough; oftentimes, this information is pulled from your utility bills. According to Guild, the Federal Trade Commission estimates that it takes consumers an average of six months and 200 hours to recover from identity theft. Here's how to avoid it with proper paper disposal, according to Guild.

Practice safe paperwork organization.

You should review your documents before throwing them away. Comb through property records, receipts, pay check stubs, utility bills, and more—do these documents contain any personal information about you that can be gathered and used to steal your identity? If so, you do not want to toss it in the trash intact.

Don't leave mail in the mailbox overnight or on weekends and never give out personal information via phone or internet, unless you are the one initiating the contact (and, even then, be cautious).
