When Kuwait was liberated:
Banks reopened on March 24, 1991
The pre-invasion exchange rate was restored immediately
A new series of banknotes was introduced the same day
Old valid notes were exchanged 1:1
Invalid or counterfeit notes were rejected

The public did NOT see the new notes in advance.
There was:
