The Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee revealed, on Monday, August 23, 2021, the government's latest preparations for a conference of Iraq's neighbors and other Arab and foreign countries, at the end of this month.
Committee member Furat Al-Tamimi said, in an interview with the media, which was followed by "The Obelisk" that most of the invitations reached the leaders of the countries that will participate in the conference, and that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Prime Minister are in constant contact with the security ministries, other ministries and the parties concerned with receiving the leaders and preparing the venue for the summit, as the Preparations are going as planned, adding that the success of the summit depends on the level of representation that the participating countries will contribute to the conference.
Al-Tamimi added that this conference and previous conferences contributed to strengthening Iraq's position in the region and the countries of the world, stressing that Iraq is an important country for many countries of the world due to its strategic location in the Middle East, which represents a meeting point for the conflicting countries in the region.
Iraq is preparing to host the first conference of regional neighbors at the end of August, with the aim of discussing the political and security challenges facing the countries of the region.

The head of the Qatari newspaper, Al-Sharq, Ahmed Ibrahim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Baghdad has become important in the region and has good relations with all regional countries,” noting that “Iraq was able to form good links with the countries of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and these relations pushed the countries to attend the summit.
He added that "the presence of countries for the summit, in addition to choosing the timing of its convening, gave it a high value, especially since all countries want to calm the region." The capital, Baghdad, is scheduled to host a conference next Saturday, in which nine countries will participate, including Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and France, while joint operations announced the completion of the security cordons for securing the conference. The price of the dollar raises inflation rates to 8 percent..and planning: does not raise fears

The Ministry of Planning announced, Saturday, August 14, 2021, the reasons for the high rate of inflation in the country, revealing its natural limits.
Ministry spokesman Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi said in a statement to "The Obelisk" that inflation rates are rising in all countries and varying between one country and another, subject to the development reality of countries.

He pointed out that if the rate rises to 10 or 12 percent, it is within the natural rates of rising inflation and is not unbridled, but is called a controlled natural rise that does not raise fears.
A group of unions and federations had announced earlier, the launch of a national campaign to support the national currency and the economy and increase the citizen's confidence in the Iraqi dinar.
Six unions said in a statement received by Al-Masala, in which it announced the launch of a national campaign sponsored by the Central Bank of Iraq to raise awareness to support the national currency and the Iraqi economy. A large segment of Iraqi society.
This campaign aims to shed light on the importance of dealing with the national currency and increasing the citizen’s confidence in it, for the contribution of all sectors to maintaining the exchange rate and keeping inflation at low rates, and reducing poverty and unemployment rates through the entry of Iraqi and foreign investors to work inside the country, which will lead to Increasing the services provided to citizens and this is fully reflected positively on the economy.
Poverty indicators in the country increased to 27 percent due to the increase in price hikes, according to the Ministry of Planning.

The U.S. Federal Reserve is "trapped", says Michael Gentile, strategic investor. Gentile told David Lin, anchor for Kitco News, that two scenarios could play out: either the Fed raises rates by 25 basis points next year to regain confidence in the markets, or they let inflation run hot and do nothing.
Neither of these scenarios will be enough to contain inflation.
In order to really "go to war" against inflation, the Fed will need to raise rates to at least 3%, which would cause stocks to crash by the order of 50%.
Even a 25 basis point raise would trigger a 10-20% correction, Gentile said.

Al-Kazemi announces the launch of the economic reform plan within the white paper

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chaired the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Reform in Iraq.
Al-Kazemi said, according to a statement by his office, "Since we launched the reform white paper to address the rampant corruption in the country and we have been working to create an appropriate atmosphere for its implementation, and our meeting today is to announce the start of implementing the administrative and executive mechanisms for the economic reform plan within the white paper."
He added, "We strongly aspire to restore the country's economy to its strength after the situation reached very low levels as a result of rampant corruption. This plan would rebuild the Iraqi economy in a sound manner that would achieve sustainable development for the country."
And Al-Kazemi continued during the meeting, "The reform plan will provide a solution to the chronic economic management crisis, which is represented by complete dependence on oil, and the lack of diversification of income sources. A comprehensive reform until it is completed within 5 years.
And he indicated that "the damage to the Iraqi economy is very great, and for this reason it is impossible to implement the reform plan in a short time, and everyone who promises to do so is delusional. Our goal is to advance the Iraqi state, not the current government. Governments go and the state remains, and for this we want with all our insistence." To restore Iraq's economic prestige."
Al-Kazemi said, "Since we took over the administration of the executive authority of Iraq, we have been working hard to implement reforms in order to get out with the least losses for all of us. Our energy and consciousness is imperative to this process. When you get knocked off being positive about the rv and pulled down into fear and panic it affects the outcome. More then ever you need to remain in a loving, positive, calm center. Do not let the negativity throw you out of kilter.
Where are we now: F&Ps did not go yet. They should have yesterday but did not. They are still paying out the bond holders but all are not liquid.
The F&Ps are the key to having ALL of this release.

Having been on this journey for a long time, the only way to stay the course is to not have your emotions involved. When your emotions are involved then you become angry when it is does not happen, you get sad and frustrated and excited when you hear good news.
The only way to survive is to take all your emotions out of this and stay in a neutral place. It has to happen eventually and I am beyond giving dates or when as the timeframes we are given change completely.
So we can only see what is happening in the world to get a reference point as to the progress.
