Under the MOU, EXIM and Iraq’s Ministry of Finance agreed to identify potential projects in Iraq for procurement of U.S.-produced goods and services. Rich4hyip: I dont think the CBI would send the receipt out to private banks notifying them about the arriving of new currency and only do it the next year, which doesn’t make sense to me. The parliamentary Finance Committee warned on Friday of the collapse of the Iraqi economy as a result of the wrong policies in the country, noting that the budget deficit in 2020 if it reaches 40%, the economy will be in a state of collapse.
Committee member Naji Redis said in a statement to the information, that "the investment budget for Iraq go to oil and electricity companies and payment of gas debts and the development of regions to provide services and infrastructure of the provinces, and therefore that Iraq since 2004 and to this day did not support any production line."
He added that "the government has provided only 500 billion dinars to support the large port of Faw to be completed, and this confirms that the state is dead clinically and can not make any serious steps other than promises."
He explained that "the price of a barrel of oil in the budget of 2020 will be calculated according to future estimates by providing economists their vision in this regard after several visits and meetings in various countries around the world on the economic situation, where the future price of a barrel is estimated at 50 dollars at a time when Iraq's oil exports do not exceed 3 million and 800 Thousand barrels. ”
And that "the fiscal deficit in the budget in the event of exceeding 40%, the Iraqi economy is in a state of collapse, it will also collapse in the case of internal debt reached 60% of the budget." LINK

Dutch Central Bank Hints at Economic Restart Based on Gold Standard
After a decade of unprecedented quantitative easing, the appeal of a sound currency is returning. Now, the Dutch Central Bank has reiterated some of the messages of gold bugs, stating that gold may become the basis for an economic restart.
The Dutch Central Bank mentioned that gold reserves could be used to start from scratch in case of a global economic collapse.
The comments arrive at a time when the US Fed is entering another spiral of quantitative easing. The Fed both lowered its interest rate to 2.25% and recently started pouring funds into the overnight repo facility, to ease the rates on interbank overnight lending. Those efforts signal at significant inflows of fiat.
Central banks across the globe upped their gold purchases in the past few months. Gold has always been a part of central banks’ portfolios, but now the importance has grown. In a world of zero or even negative interest rates, as well as inversed bond yields, gold has also gained appeal as a hedge against runaway inflation and bubbles based on excess liquidity.
Gold and Bitcoin Demand Rise in 2019
The Russian and the Turkish central banks were leaders in gold purchases in 2019. Curiously, both countries are also extremely friendly to crypto assets. And local hyperinflation is a well-known phenomenon for both countries.
Turkey is now suffering a shaky exchange rate for the lira, while the Russian Federation still carries the memory of hyperinflation after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The countries are also hosting vast crypto-based communities, as a tool to offset inflation or sluggish local economies. This fits the observation that demand for gold and BTC usually coincide.
While BTC is more volatile than gold in terms of market prices, it is also much more agile. BTC may be used to make global payments, and despite the scrutiny of the network, it still offers a way to move significant funds overseas where a fiat transfer would be impossible or highly expensive.
In the past quarter alone, gold appreciated from around $1,200 to above $1,500 an ounce. At the same time, BTC prices erased about 30% of their value. Still, BTC outpaced gold in gains this year, appreciating by more than 200%.
Sound money is seen as a solution to an economy flooded by excess liquidity, where fiat money is not meaningful anymore, and lead to the forming of asset bubbles. Even BTC itself is seen as rising to peak prices on the back of excess fiat liquidity, which was seeking new tools for investment.

Rommy: Very fascinating! Timing! IMO - Inside Iraq a dinar is a dinar. There will be no advantage to having a 25K IQD WHEN the purchasing power arrives. They wont be necessary. For example ONLY, would US citizens carry around 25K dollar notes? No way. Making purchases for things like groceries or buying a hamburger somewhere would be a nightmare. Handing the cashier a 25K dollar note would be rejected because they would not be able to make change. Same scenario in Iraq when the purchasing power is increased. MarkPam: There is an educational process to this new presentation of foreign currency notes. To claim there is no design to what the CBI is doing is ignorance in its perspective. Frank shared about the trucks full of LD's IHO. Couple that with the documentation/receipt received by the various banks around Iraq indicates a step in execution of that strategy regardless of the political activities of the GOI.
It is clear to me that the introduction of the lower notes is upon us and the CBI is using these demonstrations as part of the training for both the citizens and banking personnel of the categories of lower notes about to be presented. Remember, it must not fail with the citizens and by providing visual aids in the form of other countries currency is a brilliant move to demonstrate that Iraq is not alone in moving to this denomination change.
It will show that Iraq is entering a new paradigm of change that reflects its ability to utilize international standards of currency similar to those of other countries unifying Iraq in demonstrative practice of their new currencies. All IMO...

IMO they are further educating the citizens of what is next to come. They use other countries smalls to avoid the counterfeiters that wait in the wings.
