Sandyf   @Sah The paper is only published on Wednesday and Saturday. There is no variance from that. That is not true. The legal Gazette is issued by the MOJ usually once a week on a Monday but there can be special issues. There is normally a few days between issue and posting to the official website https://www.moj.gov.iq/iraqmag/ There used to be a newspaper with gazette in the name, not sure if still in print, which caused confusion with the legal gazette AL-WAQA'YAT.

Sah   I haven't posted in a few years till things just got interesting lately. I will try to find the link to the paper in Iraq where I read about the printing in the paper Al-WaQA'YAT. When they pasted the last three amendments to the Federal Court law they said they got it to the president Tuesday night to sign and submit on Wednesday with the federal budget. They said if they didn't post Wednesday it would be in Saturdays and that there was no variance from those publishing days. I had to translate to read, i will go back and look again. Maliki screwed it all up now with 6 violations supposedly in budget recall. I am sure he will draw everything out more with his cronies to not pass the budget.

Committee member Salim Hamza told Shafaq News Agency that “an appeal can be filed with the Federal Court on some articles and paragraphs of the General Budget Law, but this appeal will not stop the implementation of the law, but rather stop some paragraphs pending consideration and broadcasting of the appeal filed on those paragraphs.”

He added that “the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar is fixed and cannot be challenged, given that the paragraph is not an addition to the budget law. According to sources, “there are several files awaiting the Federal Court, including the appeal submitted by members of the dissolved provincial councils of the parliament’s decision to dissolve it, as well as appeals in several paragraphs of the current year budget law.”

She added, “The work of the court has been suspended for nearly a year, and therefore there are many cases waiting for the new formation to be considered.”

Regarding the court’s work, the legal expert Tariq Harb said, “It remains that the court’s work is governed by the constitution and not by the law, anything that opposes the constitution, and nothing that opposes the law falls within its jurisdiction according to Article 93 of the constitution. For example, there is nothing in conflict with the constitution in the parliament’s decision to dismiss members of councils” The governorates, the parliament has not abolished the constitution’s rule regarding provincial councils, has not amended the constitution, and has not issued anything contrary to the constitution, which did not specify a period for the work of members of the provincial councils.
