The Erbil Police Directorate announced, on Wednesday, the arrest of two people on charges of theft.
The police said in a statement, received by Shafak News Agency, that "the Anti-Crime Police Department arrested two suspects called (KJM) and (QM), on charges of stealing 18,300 US dollars, 100,000 Iraqi dinars and 50 dinars. Old-fashioned Swiss.
The statement added that "during the implementation of the arrest warrant for the accused, they were in possession of the aforementioned money," noting that "the investigation papers were prepared for the accused under Article 446.Q.P and sent to an investigative court." LINK

Samson: The arrest of an employee accused of embezzling 7 billion dinars who escaped from the Tikrit court to Kirkuk

A security source in Salah al-Din reported today, Wednesday, the arrest of an employee accused of embezzling 7 billion dinars after escaping yesterday from the Tikrit court towards Kirkuk.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The security forces and intelligence investigations managed to arrest an employee in the Planning Department in the Salah al-Din Governorate Office after escaping from the Tikrit court yesterday before appearing before the court on charges of embezzling 7 billion dinars."
The source added that "the security forces and intelligence pursuit, and in coordination with the security services in Kirkuk, arrested the fugitive accused in Al-Zab district, and he was taken to Tikrit to complete the necessary investigative and judicial procedures," pointing out that "the formation of an investigative committee in Tikrit to uncover the circumstances of the escape of the accused accused from the Tikrit court and the parties complicit in his smuggling." Samson: Integrity: Seizing cases of embezzlement and waste of public money in Basra Health

Today, Wednesday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the seizure of cases of embezzlement and waste of public money in the health of Basra Governorate
A statement by the Commission's Investigation Department, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the staff of the Basra Investigation Directorate, which moved to one of the health centers in the province, based on a judicial note, was able, after investigation and auditing, to seize the director of the former health center, against the background of his misappropriation of ticket receipts
The statement added that "the accused received (320) receipt books, and embezzled their amounts," noting that "during the process, the record of the record regarding the accused's receipt of the receipt books was seized
He continued, "The directorate's staff carried out a second operation at the General Ports Hospital to control a waste of public money, which was the receipt of a device (Mafras) from one of the supplying companies, and shortly after it was entered into service, it malfunctioned, and it was not maintained by the company, during the five-year warranty period. Although the Basra Health Department has not yet received the device completely
He explained, "The supplying company was not charged with maintenance costs amounting to (300) million dinars," noting that "the device was taken out of work, for not benefiting from it, after it stopped working since 2018, which caused damage to public money, and deprived Revising patients can benefit from the service provided by the device, and contribute to reducing their financial burdens LINK

The 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly began in New York under the theme "Solutions through Solidarity, Sustainability and Science".
And the media reported that the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, and the President of the 77th session of the General Assembly, Chapa Kuroshi, supervised the opening.
On Monday, Kuroshi pledged to build bridges and make the association's work more impact-oriented.
He added, "My role will be to build bridges and make the work of the General Assembly more oriented towards achieving the desired effect. I plan to pursue an integrated agenda for peace, security, human rights and sustainability, which are three goals that reinforce each other. We must support all of them, otherwise they will all fall."

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Wednesday announced new details on the ministerial program of the next government.
The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Bloc, Vian Sabri, said in a statement to Kurdish media followed by "NAS", (September 14, 2022): "A committee has been formed between the KDP, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the Shiite parties and from the sovereignty alliance by the Sunnis to develop the work program of the new Iraqi government."
Sabri added that "the Democratic candidate so far for the presidency of the Republic is Reaper Ahmed, and we prefer a Shiite consensus to the post of prime minister, despite the insistence of the coordination framework on Mohammed Shia al-Sudani."
She pointed out that the program of the next Iraqi government is very important for the Kurds, because there are many issues related to the Kurdistan Region that must be worked on in the next government, most notably the budget and the distribution of revenues.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan revealed on Wednesday that there is a rapprochement with the Kurdistan Democratic Party on several files at the internal levels in the region and Baghdad's entitlements.
The head of the PUK bloc, Harim Kamal Agha, said in a statement to NAS Kord (September 14, 2022): "Our dialogues with the Democrat are proceeding through a joint committee formed after the meetings of the President of the Patriotic Union Pavel Talabani with the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Massoud Barzani and include outstanding files such as the administration of oil, the regional elections for the Kurdistan Parliament and the entitlements of the Kurds in Baghdad, including the post of President of the Republic."
The head of the bloc added: "We have not reached an impasse and there is progress and communication and we are close to the agreement."

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi acknowledged on Wednesday that the infrastructure for public services is not fully available in all regions and cities of Iraq.
Al-Kazemi had visited this morning, Karbala Governorate, to follow up on the implementation of the plan to visit the fortieth day of Imam Hussein.
Upon his arrival, he chaired an expanded meeting that included officials of the security and service departments and formations in the Karbala governorate, in the presence of a number of ministers of the security and service ministries.
Al-Kazemi said in a speech he delivered in Karbala on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the visitors and officials of the security and service departments, that "Karbala receives a large number of visitors, on this visit, as well as on the tenth of Muharram, and with all this, the infrastructure in our provinces and throughout Iraq is not fully available. However, the cooperation of people, institutions, the governorate, and the holy shrines play a major role in overcoming obstacles."
He added, "We wish we had better conditions than these, to provide better services," adding, "You know the conditions of this government and how it came. Until now, and 28 months ago, we had only a six-month budget. However, we moved forward and crossed the wounds. We only endured in order to serve our people as well as the visitors."
Al-Kazemi also stated, “We have challenges that we turn into opportunities for success by evaluating past mistakes and experiences, in order to avoid them in the future, and turn this visit into a part of our heritage and history, and provide the best services not only to visitors but to the areas that visitors pass through, on the streets, and roads, and providing electricity.
He continued, "With all of our cooperation and patience, and avoiding any clash or negative political developments, it will be reflected in the future on building better conditions than the current one." link

Last week all US Banks declared bankruptcy and had orders to restructure under the Restored Republic by midnight Wed. 14 Sept.
On Sunday 11 Sept. Iraq brought out their new Iraqi Dinar Rate and on a Tier 1 level began using and exchanging it in Mainland Europe and the Middle and Far East.
At 5 pm Mon. 12 Sept. Redemption Schedules went out to all Redemption Centers, but they have yet to have access to the code that could open them.

Today, Tuesday, the Integrity Commission announced its most prominent achievements during the month of August, while indicating the implementation of 75 arrest and recruitment orders against high-ranking people
A statement by the commission, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the commission published all of its activities during the month of August
He added that "the number of seizures amounted to 65 operations, and the number of defendants who were caught in flagrante delicto amounted to 30 defendants, 75 arrest warrants and judicial recruitment orders issued against those with higher degrees, 106 judgments of judicial convictions, 143 convicted of judicial judgments, and 68 files of files for the delivery of fugitives and smuggled money
She added, "Among its achievements is the receipt of 3710 forms of those covered by the disclosure of financial receivables, the disclosure of 25 of those covered who had a conflict of interest, 55 visits to monitor job performance in state institutions, the organization of 8 training courses, workshops and seminars held by the authority, two paper versions and television episodes and radio and 5 research, studies, reports, statistics and other scientific activities LINK

This bear market will likely see equities fall to March 2020 lows. Gary outlines his thoughts on silver and gold along with the miners. Volatility is going to remain for some time to come and government actions will likely exacerbate inflation.
He advises investors to avoid over-leverage on anything at this time. Keep position sizes small and wait for the great opportunity.

Tishwash: The World Council: Iraq is among the Arab countries with the most gold reserves
The World Gold Council announced, on Tuesday, that five Arab countries, including Iraq, possess more than a thousand tons as reserves of the precious metal.
The council said in a statistic published on its website during the month of September and seen by "Economy News", that "Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Algeria, Iraq and Egypt have the largest reserves of gold among other Arab countries, where the total of these reserves amounted to 1.039 tons."
He added that "the amount of gold reserves for Saudi Arabia amounted to 323.1 tons, while the gold reserves of the state of Lebanon amounted to 286.8 tons, while the amount of reserves of the state of Algeria amounted to 173.6 tons," noting that "the gold reserves of the state of Iraq amounted to 130.4 tons, while the amount of gold reserves for Egypt amounted to 125.2 tons."
He pointed out that "Iraq still maintains its 30th position globally with the largest gold reserves out of the 100 countries included in the international financial statistics for global gold reserves and for the second month in a row after purchasing 34 tons in the month of June, when these reserves amounted to 130.4 tons, which represents 9.5% of the remaining his other currencies.
It is noteworthy that the World Gold Council, which is headquartered in the United Kingdom, has extensive experience and deep knowledge of the factors that cause market change, and its members consist of the largest and most advanced gold mining companies in the world link

Samson: Oil prices rise amid concerns over supply shortage
Oil prices rose on Tuesday, extending gains from the previous session, as investors worried about tight supplies ahead of the winter heating season in the northern hemisphere
Brent crude rose 5 cents to $94.05 a barrel by 03:06 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate crude rose 7 cents to $87.85 a barrel
Crude oil prices on both sides of the Atlantic have risen more than 15% this year due to the uncertainty caused by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Energy costs have also risen as Moscow cuts gas supplies to Europe amid Western sanctions imposed over its invasion of Ukraine
In the US, emergency oil stocks fell 8.4 million barrels to 434.1 million barrels in the week ending September 9, the lowest level since October 1984, according to data released Monday by the US Department of Energy (DOE)
US President Joe Biden in March laid out a plan to release 1 million barrels per day over a period of six months from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to address rising fuel prices in the United States, which have contributed to rising inflation
Meanwhile, the G7 countries will implement a Russian oil price cap to limit the country's oil export earnings, in an effort to punish Moscow for invading Ukraine, while taking measures to ensure the continued flow of oil to emerging nations

MZ: Remember this does not mean the value has changed yet….just that these are banks that previously would not deal with the Iraqi dinar at all…now will….. Which means the dinar is still at the same value it is today….waiting on the rate to change. But, that they are accepting it now is huge progress…but does not mean they are exchanging in Europe for a higher value. …yet. They have to be able to accept and exchange it when the time comes……so its still good news.

The American Ambassador to Iraq, Elena Romanowski, revealed on Tuesday, a meeting of diplomats from 11 embassies and international organizations to help increase trade and investment in Iraq.
Romanowski said, in a statement issued by the embassy, which was received by Shafaq News Agency, that the United States "supports economic reform and a strong private sector in Iraq, which creates more job opportunities for the people, more investment opportunities, and a prosperous Iraq." LINK

An Asian Bretton Woods?

The financial war between Russia with China’s tacit backing on one side, and America and her NATO allies on the other has escalated rapidly. It appears that President Putin was thinking several steps ahead when he launched Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
We have seen sanctions fail. We have seen Russia achieve record export surpluses. We have seen the rouble become the strongest currency on the foreign exchanges.
We are seeing the west enter a new round of European monetary inflation to pay everyone’s energy bills. The euro, yen, and sterling are already collapsing — the dollar will be next. From Putin’s point of view, so far, so good.
Russia has progressed her power over Asian nations, including populous India and Iran. She has persuaded Middle Eastern oil and gas producers that their future lies with Asian markets, and not Europe. She is subsidising Asia’s industrial revolution with discounted energy. Thanks to the west’s sanctions, Russia is on its way to confirming Halford Mackinder’s predictions made over a century ago, that Russia is the true geopolitical centre of the world.
There is one piece in Putin’s jigsaw yet to be put in place: a new currency system to protect Russia and her allies from an approaching western monetary crisis. This article argues that under cover of the west’s geopolitical ineptitude, Putin is now assembling a new gold-backed multi-currency system by combining plans for a new Asian trade currency with his new Moscow World Standard for gold.
Currency developments under the radar
Unreported by western media, there are some interesting developments taking place in Asia over the future of currencies. Earlier this summer, it emerged that Sergei Glazyev, a senior Russian economist and Minister in charge of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU), was leading a committee planning a new trade currency for the Eurasian Economic Union.
As put forward in Russian and EAEU media, the new currency is to be comprised of a mixture of national currencies and commodities. A weighting of some sort was suggested to reflect the relative importance of the currencies and commodities traded between them. At the same time, the new trade settlement currency was to be available to any other nation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the expanding BRICS membership. The ambition is for it to become an Asia-wide replacement for the dollar.
More specifically, the purpose is to do away with the dollar for trade settlements on cross-border transactions between participants. It is worth noting that any dollar transaction is reflected in US banks through the correspondent banking system, potentially giving the US authorities undesirable economic intelligence, and information on sanction-busting and other activities deemed illegal or undesirable by the US authorities. Furthermore, any transaction involving US dollars becomes a matter for the US legal system, giving US politicians the authority to intervene wherever the dollar is used.
As well as removing these disadvantages, through the inclusion of a basket of commodities there appears to be an acceptance that the new trade currency must be more stable in terms of its commodity purchasing power than exists with that of the dollar. But we can immediately detect flaws in the outline proposal. The mooted inclusion of national currencies in the basket is not only an unnecessary complication, but any nation joining it would presumably trigger a wholesale rebalancing of the currency’s composition.
Including national currencies is a preposterous suggestion, as is any suggestion that the commodity element should be weighted by trade volumes transacted between participating states. Instead, an unweighted average of energy, precious metals, and base metals makes more sense, but even that does not go far enough. The reasons are illustrated by the two charts in Figure 1.

Hi guys, Sandy here: I am sorry to bother you, but this could not wait. This morning's breaking news story came to me at about 10 pm last night, Central American time.
This story was on the front page of a major news portal in Iraq this morning. Central Bank Governor (Mustafa Ghaleb Makhif) confirmed on Monday, today, that the bank is in the process of raising Iraq from "high-risk" countries according to the classification of the European Union.
Now, I am a research reporter registered with the DOT, with a limited intellect in video creation, and I am not sure what that statement means, but the channel will find out. It looks like Iraq is sending a message.
Although the Oil Minister is under investigation for corruption, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq is saying everything is okay. "We seek to activate indirect monetary policy tools as well as adopt quantitative easing through the Central Bank's initiatives, which amounted to about 18 trillion dinars," he added.
