Butterfly   After a two-year hiatus.... the Safwan border port between Iraq and Kuwait officially reopened to the movement of trade and travelers --  Wednesday 22 December 2021 Today, Wednesday, the Safwan border port between Iraq and Kuwait, southwest of Basra, was officially opened to trade and travelers, after a two-year hiatus due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The director of the Safwan border crossing, Brigadier Ali Al-Maliki, said in a press statement, "The port has been equipped with the cadres and supplies required to receive commercial vehicles and travelers.

butterfly   More than 1% rise in oil prices - Wednesday 22 December 2021 Global oil markets witnessed a rise of more than 1% after crude stocks in the US strategic reserve fell to the lowest level since November 2002.

Brent crude rose by about 1% to trade above levels of $74 per barrel.

They've had a National Development Plan that talked about a 60/40 and a possible 70/30 split btwn oil and non oil revenue as being ideal. For now they are still in the 90 percentile
