Today, Wednesday, the Federal Supreme Court will consider a claim to cancel the elections submitted by the parties to the coordination framework.

The Federal Supreme Court had decided, on the thirteenth of this month, to postpone the date of the pleading, claiming the cancellation of the elections, to the twenty-second of it.

The "Al-Fatah" coalition, which represents the crowd and one of the parties to the framework, alleges electoral fraud, after it won 17 seats out of 329 seats in Parliament, compared to 48 seats in the previous elections.

In the meantime, observers expected to postpone the hearing to contest the election results - which is supposed to be held today - again, while political parties did not rule out the occurrence of "surprises" at the gates of the "Green Zone".    https://www.radionawa.com/all-detail.aspx?jimare=27200

Monday, December 20, 2021 5:34 PM  Baghdad/National News Center  Today, Monday, Minister of Water Resources Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani confirmed the preparation of a road map for the use of water in power generation, while explaining the reason for Iraq's delay in investing dam water in generation.

Al-Hamdani said in a speech during the Ministerial Forum on Future Energy Outlook, which was followed by the National News Center: “Hydroelectricity production through dams and dams is an accidental product, and we are not like upstream countries that rely heavily on the construction of dams and regulators to generate hydroelectric power.”

He added, "The downstream countries focus on the purpose of constructing dams being storage, distributing water and irrigation in an accidental way, and generating hydroelectric power."

He pointed out that "the ministry prepared for this by-product a study and updated it according to the strategy for water resources and land, which was previously called the water budget, which Iraq began with a study in 1982 until 2004, and it recorded all the tasks required of the Ministry of Water Resources and some other ministries, and it was not with all ministries."

He added, "It is assumed that a new study will be presented during 2004, but everyone knows the events that accompanied the country during that period, and the ministry was able to complete the update of this study in 2014, and it was approved by state ministries with the participation of all ministries related to water use."

He stressed that "this study took place from 2014 to 2035 because the ministry has a road map until 2035 and one of the study's outputs related to hydropower, through which the ministry seeks to contribute to energy production."    https://nnciraq.com/110239/
