Dollar Exchange Rates Maintain Their Stability In Local Markets
Market Economy News _ Baghdad Today, Tuesday, local markets recorded stability in the dollar exchange rates. The selling price of the dollar reached 148.750 dinars per 100 dollars, while the purchase prices settled at 148.250 dinars per 100 dollars.
And the Central Bank of Iraq decided earlier to adjust the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, as the purchase price of the dollar from the Ministry of Finance amounted to 1450 dinars, and the price of selling it to banks was set at 1460 dinars per dollar, while the selling price to the citizen is 1470 dinars per dollar.

Washington Confirms Continuing Support For Iraqis After The Bombing Of Sadr City
Today, Tuesday, the United States of America expressed its condemnation of the terrorist bombing in Sadr City, east of Baghdad.
The US embassy said in a statement, "The United States of America expresses its deep sadness over the horrific attack that occurred yesterday in Baghdad, and strongly condemns everything that spoils the atmosphere of the blessed Eid al-Adha with this cowardly terrorist act."
The embassy added, "Our heartfelt condolences to the victims and we pray for peace to their families, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured," stressing that it "will continue to support its Iraqi partners as they seek to build a stable and peaceful future, and a lasting defeat for ISIS."

The Secretary-General Of The United Nations On The Bombing Of Sadr City: The Scourge Of Terrorism Knows No Borders
Pratha News Agency111 2021-07-20 The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, strongly condemned the horrific attack that targeted civilians in a market in Sadr City, east of Baghdad.
Guterres said in a statement, "I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Iraq, with my best wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured."
"This deadly attack ahead of Eid al-Adha is a reminder to all of us that the scourge of terrorism knows no borders," he added.
Guterres stressed "the need to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice urgently.
"This heinous act, ahead of Eid al-Adha, is a horrific reminder of the extent of violence that children in Iraq continue to face," UNICEF Representative in Iraq Shema Sen Gupta said in a statement.
In its statement, UNICEF indicated that at least 25 people, including children, were killed, while dozens were injured as a result of an explosion in the popular Al-Wahailat market, east of the capital, Baghdad.
"These children were preparing to spend special days in Eid with their families. Here we can only express our sincere condolences to their families, and we wish a speedy recovery for the injured," said Shema Sen Gupta.
