Tishwash: Al-Sudani faces the task of achieving sovereignty and reviving the Iraqi economy
All Iraqis are waiting for the revival of the country’s economy and its reflection on the individual’s standard of living by launching investment in many fields and finding treatments for the high cost of living, as well as preserving the country’s borders and achieving full sovereignty by ending the Turkish as well as the American presence, at a time when Al-Kazemi was unable to Achieving these goals despite the many demands from various authorities and segments.

On the level of sovereignty, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghiath al-Sorji, confirmed to Al-Maalouma, "The Turkish forces continue almost daily bombing of large areas in northern Iraq in the Dohuk Governorate, Sinjar district and other areas, noting that the file of Turkish attacks and the Turkish presence in Iraq on The new prime minister's desk.

CandyKisses: Expert expects oil prices to rise to $300 a barrel
The oil expert, Hamza Al-Jawahiri, said on Sunday that setting the price of Russian oil by Europe will raise prices to 300 dollars per barrel.
Al-Jawahiri told Shafaq News, "The issue of setting a price for Russian oil is not possible with the recognition of the European countries themselves, because Russia can not sell oil to them, and therefore the harm will be more than the benefit, which these countries felt when Russia stopped pumping gas to it."
He added, "European countries cannot force the largest Asian oil importers, such as China and India, not to import Russian oil, which is what we are witnessing today," adding that "if Russia stops its production by 5 million barrels, it will negatively affect oil consuming countries, especially European countries, and the price of oil will rise." Oil to $300 a barrel.
The Group of Seven (Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, Germany and Italy) agreed to move forward with setting a ceiling for Russian crude oil prices, in an attempt to reset global crude prices and reduce Russia's revenues from oil sales, primarily seeking to To inflict a "financial" defeat on Prussia.
China is currently the largest importer of Russian crude oil with more than one million barrels per day, as well as India, benefiting from Moscow's discounts on their purchases.
Russia is, in the normal situation, the third largest producer of crude oil after the United States and Saudi Arabia, with an average daily production of 11 million barrels, of which it exports nearly 5 million barrels per day, and 2.8 million barrels per day of derivatives.

CandyKisses: The formation of the Sudanese government pushes the Iraqis again to demand a decrease in the exchange rate of the dollar
With the formation of a new Iraqi government, demands were renewed to change the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.
And members of the House of Representatives demanded the inclusion of the voting paragraph on restoring the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar to its previous official rate in the schedule of the upcoming sessions. But the Central Bank of Iraq reiterated that there are no intentions to change the exchange rate.
The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives describes that what some are promoting about the possibility of Parliament issuing decisions that restore the dollar exchange rate to what it was in the past, are nothing but auctions and tickles the feelings of the street.
The leader of the Al-Hikma Movement, Fadi Al-Shammari, said that the parliamentary talk about changing the exchange rate is a scandalous bidding of no value, adding that the biggest beneficiaries are currency traders and speculators.
Journalist Daoud Hashem considered, in a tweet on Twitter, that the corruption of those in charge was behind raising the exchange rate under the title of economic reform, adding that the markets have been balanced and prices will not go down because the state does not have the tools now.
The exchange rate has become a table among both popular and elite circles.
Economic expert Salam Sumaisem believes that the cost of restoring the dinar to its old price against the dollar will be very high, adding that what is rumored now is for the purpose of political propaganda or speculation to reduce the price of the dollar to get it at a cheap price.
On the shoulders of many Iraqis, the question is whether the political forces and blocs that were calling for devaluing the exchange rate will be able to achieve this after their participation in the Sudanese government.
Political analyst Nazir Al-Katib suggests that the exchange rate will not be reduced to what it was previously, speaking of two direct reasons, the first of which is external factors such as the World Bank and the Paris Club, which absolutely control and control Iraqi financial resources, and the second: If the government agrees to reduce the exchange rate, the political class The governor will have to lose 40 to 60 billion dollars annually, which will go as differences in salaries and other operating wages and the like.
The decision of any change in the dollar exchange rate is exclusively the prerogative of the Central Bank.
Economic observers believe that decreasing the dollar exchange rate, a project that will not succeed, because the change in the exchange rate is originally part of the reform program of the Central Bank in coordination with the Iraqi financial policy in order to raise the financial reserves in the Central Bank and prevent the smuggling of hard currency out of the country.
On December 19, 2020, the Central Bank of Iraq announced the adjustment of the US dollar exchange rate to 1450 dinars, instead of 1200 dinars, for every 100 dollars.

Iraq: Problematic Files Await The Sudanese Government
Zaid Salem October 29, 2022 Al-Sudani after his government won parliamentary confidence, Thursday evening (Anatolia)
Yesterday, Friday, the government of the new Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, began its constitutional duties, in the ninth Iraqi government to be formed in the country since the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, after a political crisis that extended for more than a year, amid several challenges.
The new government, which obtained, on Thursday evening, the confidence of Parliament by a majority of more than 250 deputies out of 329, with the boycott of the majority of civil forces and personalities, acknowledged the existence of 23 ministerial portfolios, but only 21 of them were voted on, due to the continuing differences over two ministries from The Kurdish forces share, namely, reconstruction and the environment.
Problematic files await Sudan
If the position of the Sadrist movement opposing the government is the main concern of Al-Sudani and his team, the problematic files included in the government program, on the basis of which it gained confidence, also emerge as obstacles that the new prime minister is likely to encounter.
It is expected that these various factors will affect the life of the government, noting that the ministerial curriculum paper agreed upon by the political blocs stipulated amending the Parliamentary Elections Law within three months and holding early elections within a year. This was considered the first coup by the "coordinating framework" forces against previous pledges regarding forming a government and then going to early elections.
A former deputy close to Al-Sudani: Going with the Sadrists and keeping them calm is the first challenge
The new cabinet was distributed in the manner of quotas applied in all past governments, but the presence of the "Popular Mobilization" in this government seemed stronger than the last three governments (Haider al-Abadi, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, Mustafa al-Kazemi).
The leader of the "Jund al-Imam" faction, Ahmed al-Asadi, who is one of the armed groups allied to Iran and has an armed wing fighting alongside the Syrian regime, took over the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Also, Naim al-Aboudi, a leader of the "Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq" militia, led by Qais al-Khazali, was chosen as Minister of Higher Education, and he holds a master's degree and a doctorate from the Islamic University in Lebanon.
Evan Faiq Jabro, the sister of the leader of the "Babylon" militia, Rayan Al-Kildani, remained Minister of Immigration. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, an official in the "Afaaq" satellite channel owned by former Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki, took over the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Al-Sudani’s government included ministers from the government of his predecessor, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, as Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein remained in his position, Khaled Battal moved from the Ministry of Planning to the Ministry of Industry, and Saleh Al-Hasnawi, Minister of Health in Haider Al-Abadi’s government, returned to the same ministry in the new government.
Al-Sudani faces a "big rock", as described by observers, represented by the presence of the Sadrist movement led by Muqtada al-Sadr, especially since the latter is not satisfied with Al-Sudani and his government, the mechanism for distributing ministries to parties, and the methods for selecting ministers.
Al-Sudani faces other challenges such as the uncontrolled weapon in the hands of armed groups and the need to control it, which is the demand of the angry protesters, in addition to preparing for the upcoming elections, which the emerging entities and the Sadrist movement hope to be within less than two years at the most, starting from the date of the work of the new government.
News The most prominent axes of the Sudanese ministerial program: early elections and the fight against corruption
On how Al-Sudani faced these challenges, a former deputy, close to him, considered in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that “going along with the Sadrists and keeping them in a state of calm is the first challenge to the new government, and failure means many scenarios, the best of which may be the resignation of the Sudanese government and the worst of it is a street confrontation. between the Sadrists and supporters of the coordination framework that supports the government.
He stressed that "it should not be expected that Al-Sudani will resolve all the many challenges to the government, and it was a mistake to put it in his electoral platform, but political pressures forced him to do so." It was remarkable in Al-Sudani’s program that he mentioned the cities occupied by armed factions that prevent the return of their people, such as Jurf al-Sakhr, al-Auja, Yathrib, al-Uwaisat, the villages of Diyala, Aziz Balad, Sinjar and many other areas, pledging to return their people to their homes.
The former MP added that "the closure of the displacement file, the expulsion of armed factions from the cities they control, compensation for the victims of terrorist operations and military mistakes in them, the file of the disappeared and the kidnapped,
in addition to the terms of the file of the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil, such as Article 140 and the oil and gas law that has been stuck for years, as well as Regarding the health crisis, addressing the resurgence of ISIS, revealing and holding accountable the killers of the demonstrators (who participated in the October 2019 uprising, these are all files imposed on the Sudanese by various Sunni and Kurdish political forces.”
He pointed out that "Shiite political parties have put the file of ending the American presence on the Sudanese table once again."
For his part, another member of the "Victory" coalition, led by Haider al-Abadi, who decided not to participate in the government, confirmed in an interview with "The New Arab", that "the Sadrist movement refused to communicate with the Sudanese in the past days preceding the confidence-granting session, and this is worrying." Extremely".
For his part, the independent deputy in the Iraqi parliament, Basem Khashan, indicated that "the file of corruption and looting of state funds is the biggest file that the Sudanese must pursue."
In an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, he considered that "the Sudanese government will not deal with the files demanded by the Iraqis, but will be a government that does not differ from the governments of Nuri al-Maliki, Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Mustafa al-Kazemi, because what is built on falsehood is false." He expected that "it will spoil some of the successes in the previous government, especially in the file of foreign relations, which the armed factions reject."
Obstacles to the Sudanese
On the other hand, the representative of the "Coordination Framework", Rafiq Al-Salihi, said in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that "the most prominent obstacles that the Sudanese will face is the corruption that permeates the state, which is protected from internal and external parties."
Al-Salihi added that "the Sudanese will face great obstacles in the file of health, electricity and services, especially since these files have been neglected for years, despite the spending of large funds on them, especially since he expressed his intention to find the development of these files with tangible things by the citizens."
Mohie Al-Ansari: Isolation is the biggest case that the consensus government will suffer from in the near future
As for the independent MP Hadi Al-Salami, he saw that the electricity and services files will be the most prominent thing that the Sudanese will face in his government. In an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, he pointed out that "corruption is linked to all files, in addition to controlling uncontrolled weapons, which constitute a real threat to the state and civil peace."
Al-Salami explained that "the most prominent challenges that Sudan will face is working to create the appropriate atmosphere for holding early parliamentary elections, especially setting a period of time for this step within its government curriculum, and this issue requires an effort to conduct fair elections away from political money and uncontrolled weapons."
On his part, Mohie Al-Ansari drew attention to: The head of the "Iraqi House" movement, which is part of the "Forces for Democratic Change" coalition, pointed out that "the Sudanese government was stillborn, and all its turbulent and unstable inputs indicate that, as it comes today in a politically, popularly, regionally and internationally charged atmosphere."
He explained in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that "isolation is the biggest case that the consensus government will suffer from in the near future, and the gap between society and the ruling authority will increase, which has repeated the same scenario as the Abdul-Mahdi government, and its most prominent challenges will be what the coordinating framework forces called for and considered it a failure of Al-Kazemi's government." such as the exchange rate file , job opportunities, etc.
As for political analyst Ahmed Al-Sharifi, he stressed that "the Sadrist Rock, which is the huge human mass that knows how to storm the Green Zone and sit in it, is the most feared challenge by the Sudanese, as despite the attempts of the coordinating framework forces to create a safe atmosphere for the new government, all possibilities are open." of the Sadrists.
And he considered, in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, that “the Sudanese is no different from Mustafa Al-Kazemi, as he wants to remain performing what the parties want in exchange for his staying in power, but what differs is that the political crisis is currently complicated by the presence of the Sadrist movement outside power, which is the reason that may create political crises.” In the future, all the files that the Iraqis hope to open and guarantee their results will be disrupted." A Positive American View Of The "Forces Of Change" Coalition: It May Be The Alternative For The Iraqi Political Class
Posted On2022-10-29 By Sotaliraq The American "Washington Institute" considered that the recent announcement of the formation of the "forces for democratic change" in Baghdad, as an Iraqi political movement, constitutes an initiative that the "frustrated" Iraqis can look forward to as an alternative to the stagnant political class.
The American report, which was translated by Shafak News Agency, indicated that after more than a year of striving to reach a consensus and a common vision, the October Movement and other political forces with civilian orientations succeeded in agreeing on a common political platform, which it is hoped will provide the Iraqi people with a platform for the movement. Exhibitions.
He mentioned that on October 15, a conference of 1,000 people was held at the Baghdad International Fair, and 8 political parties joined in order to formally establish the "Forces for Democratic Change."
The report considered that it is imperative to view this development as a positive maturation of the political wing of the October movement/civil movement in particular, because it is moving away from the policies of deals or flowery, but useless statements, and is moving towards establishing an opposition line that can present an effective and clear alternative when the opportunity arises. .
He pointed out that the Democratic Forces for Change consists of an executive council of the leaders of the eight assembled parties, a political office to define policies, a program office responsible for capacity-building initiatives, a communication committee to expand the alliance with other similar-oriented parties and groupings, and a communications office for external marketing and popular support mobilization.
This structure is important as it avoids the current political parties' over-reliance on unnecessary committees, such as the Youth Committee, and regulates the decision-making process, as agreed upon with the consent of the 1,000 participants, legitimizing it, the report added.
He explained that the eight parties are the "National House", the "Iraqi House", the "Iraqi Communist Party", the "Social Democratic Current", "I'm Going to Take My Right", the "Tishreen Democratic Movement", the "Iraqi Promise" and the "Democratic Current". collective.”
He noted that these parties represent a wide range of specific views, and have never been able to agree on a common platform and principles in the past.
The report added that in addition to calling for a transitional government to oversee the resumption of normal governmental activity with preparations for a new round of elections, which Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani is expected to strongly object to, the coalition also put forward twenty political positions.
However, the report pointed out that all 20 points require additional definition to become political proposals, adding that many of them reflect somewhat ambitious, especially in this political climate.
He also noted that the coalition emphasizes economic growth, enhancing government budget transparency, defending basic freedoms, re-establishing decentralization, and the concept of a majority government with a meaningful opposition
He explained that the Democratic Forces for Change deliberately excluded discussion of a joint electoral list or coordination on candidates, and instead focused on building the foundation that would be necessary when the structure and timing of future elections became clearer.
According to the report, this approach is considered necessary, especially in view of the tyranny, arrogance, and grinding internal conflict that characterized the civil-oriented parties and groupings in the past.
The report expressed the hope that these forces would build the necessary momentum to attract voters and mobilize them in sufficient numbers to change the electoral map in Iraq, noting that it was a process that began in 2021 and did not reach the necessary turning point to force the current incumbents to enter a game with new rules.
[size=45]The legitimacy granted by the leadership of the “National House” and the structure of the emerging alliance based on the old organizing techniques emanating from the Communist Party, which has been eagerly waiting for such an opportunity for decades, make the democratic forces of change in front of them an opportunity for a new situation through the legitimacy granted by the leadership of the “National House” and the structure of the nascent alliance based on the old organizing techniques emanating from the Communist Party, though hampered by the stubbornness of the “Extension” movement, which has so far refused to join forces, in reference to its alarmingly growing arrogance.

The fastest growing market for centi-millionaires, who boast US$100 million or more in investable assets, over the next decade is forecast to be Việt Nam, according to The Centi-Millionaire Report.
Under the report released recently by leading international residence and citizenship by investment advisory firm Henley & Partners, with an astonishing 95 per cent growth rate predicted, this emerging Asian manufacturing hub is expected to see a strong growth of centi-millionaires in the real estate, technology, and financial services sectors.
India is next in line with an anticipated 80 per cent growth rate in individuals worth more than $100 million by 2032.
Mauritius has recently emerged as a hot spot for migrating centi-millionaires, with growth of 75 per cent predicted for this safe, business-friendly African island nation. Three other countries on the continent make it into the top league of fastest growing centi-millionaire markets in the next decade — Rwanda (70 per cent), Uganda (65 per cent), and Kenya (55 per cent).
New Zealand and Australia are also forecast to enjoy exceptional growth with 72 per cent and 60 per cent, respectively.
The US is home to an astonishing 38 per cent (9,730) of global centi-millionaires, despite constituting only 4 per cent of the world’s total human population. The big emerging markets of China and India follow in second and third place, with populations of 2,021 and 1,132 centi-millionaires, respectively. They rank significantly higher than the main European markets by this measure, with the UK in fourth place (with 968 centi-millionaires) followed very closely by Germany in fifth place (with 966).
Punching above its weight, Switzerland ranks sixth on the list with 808 inhabitants worth more than $100 million despite its small size and population. Japan (765), Canada (541), Australia (463), and finally Russia (435) make up the rest of the top ten countries for centi-millionaires.
As Dr. Juerg Steffen, CEO of Henley & Partners, points out, the $100 million plus band represents the best definition in today’s world of what it means to be ‘super-wealthy’.
“The centi-millionaire is someone so affluent that they don’t need to think about how much they spend," he said. "In fact, the level of wealth they have achieved means they are unlikely to ever worry about money again. Not long ago, in the late 1990s, $30 million was considered the fortune needed to meet this definition. However, asset prices have risen significantly since then, making $100 million the new benchmark.”
According to the report, there appears to be no set path to attaining centi-millionaire status; some inherited their wealth while others worked their way up to the $100 million mark. However, the report does point out some notable generational differences. While a growing number of younger entrepreneurs who founded successful tech companies are newcomers to the club, Baby Boomers still tend to dominate the centi-millionaire circle despite many now cashing in their stock options and selling their businesses.
Author, financial writer, and global investment expert Jeff Opdyke says that ultimately, centi-millionaires face the same issue as all investors — they just have more wealth to protect. “A basic tenet of wealth preservation in the 21st century, regardless of wallet size, is diversifying away from the risk of having most or all of one’s assets exposed to a single currency, a single government, and a single legal, taxation, and financial system,” Opdyke said.
He added: “In an era where currencies are burdened by the debts and economic weaknesses of the countries they represent, it doesn’t take much to undermine the status quo. Just look at the British pound. In the span of less than two months, it lost nearly 30 per cent of its value relative to the dollar. That’s a major Western currency. The same can easily happen to the dollar.” LINK

Samson: Việt Nam among the fastest growing economies despite difficulties: economists
26th October, 2022
Economic experts have asserted that Việt Nam's current success was not luck. While early and careful preparation was attributed to the success, many problems need improving, according to economists.
The economists spoke at a seminar on Market Outlook 2022 held by HSBC in Hà Nội on Tuesday.
At the seminar, participants gave opinions and views to look back at Việt Nam during the COVID-19 pandemic. They looked at the country's current and future economic situation. Opening the seminar, Tim Evans, CEO of HSBC, said despite the global challenges, Việt Nam's very much on the move, continuing to perform, even a regional outperformer in terms of GDP growth.
HSBC raised the GDP growth forecast for Việt Nam in 2022 to 7.6 per cent. Việt Nam's GDP in 3Q 2022 increased by 13.67 per cent compared with the same period last month, when Việt Nam's economy was seriously impacted by COVID-19.
Due to a broad-based recovery, domestic demand is back on track, and manufacturing and exports continue to roar. As a result, the country registered an 11-year high growth rate of 8.83 per cent in the first nine months of this year.
Tim said that in early September, Moody's upgraded Việt Nam to Ba2. Following an upgrade by S&P, Việt Nam is now only one notch below investment grade. Fitch upgraded Việt Nam to BB in May 2018 and currently has Việt Nam BB rating on a positive outlook.
Lower middle-income Việt Nam wants to become a developed country, reaching high income by 2045. The upper-middle class is expected to grow by an average of 17 per cent until 2030. Moreover, Việt Nam is set to become the 10th largest global consumer market by 2030, bigger than Germany and UK.
In addition, PMI – a measure of manufacturing confidence in the economy – posted 52.5 in September. Although this number was down compared with the previous month, Việt Nam's manufacturing conditions have improved significantly, following the ASEAN's improvement trend, signaling a solid improvement in the manufacturing sector's health.
Tim also recalled a comment on LinkedIn that said: "The US is said to be the land of opportunities, but Việt Nam has the people of opportunity. It's the people that make the difference". "This is shown in how Vietnamese people dealt with COVID-19 and re-build the economy together as one, as well as through all the highs and lows, overcoming all challenges laid before them throughout their history," said Evans.
Also, at the seminar, Alain Cany, Chairman of EuroCham and Country Chairman of Jardine Matheson Vietnam, told participants that Việt Nam's economy and investment climate are concerned.
Global markets are buzzing too, as the world economy grew 5.5 per cent in 2021, its fastest rate since 1976. As a result, Alain said there was a renewed sense of optimism that we hadn't seen for some time. He mentioned that following Russia's military operation in Ukraine, war and turmoil were brought to Europe's doorstep, and the global economy suffered a serious blow.
The resulting spikes in energy prices have rippled throughout global markets, driving up commodity prices and disrupting supply chains. As a result, consumer goods, textiles, electronic components, and so on are becoming increasingly expensive and hard to source. Developing, manufacturing-focused countries such as Việt Nam are particularly vulnerable to these pressures. He further said that these impacts would intensify and accelerate as the conflict drags on. For the foreseeable future, risks and uncertainty will remain high.
He also emphasised challenges facing Việt Nam that China continues its lockdowns in the face of the new pandemic reality. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, nearly 55 per cent of Việt Nam's raw materials and accessories used in the textile, garment, and footwear industries are imported from China. As long as China continues to pursue zero-COVID ambitions and forces its resulting logistics and supply bottlenecks, Việt Nam will have difficulty obtaining essential inputs like electronic components, machinery parts, fabrics, and chemicals. This threatens Việt Nam's export growth.
Global labour shortages further constrain growth. In 2022, the International Labour Organisation predicts a global deficit in hours worked equivalent to the loss of approximately 52 million full-time jobs worldwide. As a result, Việt Nam struggles to fill the jobs needed to maintain rapid economic growth.
These factors have reduced investor confidence in Việt Nam and worldwide. In Q3 2022, the EuroCham Business Climate Index (BCI) showed decreased confidence in Việt Nam's investment climate, dropping to 62. There have also been downward revisions to international growth forecasts by the UN, the World Bank, the IMF and the OECD. While global uncertainty persists, Việt Nam's prospects are reassuring.
According to Alain, the World Bank predicts a weak 2.8 per cent global growth for 2022, while Việt Nam is expected to grow 7.2 per cent. This has been driven by Việt Nam's young, dynamic, and increasingly tech-savvy workforce of 56 million, making it one of the world's largest labour forces in percentage and absolute numbers.
Considering Việt Nam's high-quality and affordable labour offerings, it's no surprise that foreign investors want to move manufacturing operations here. As a result, export-oriented manufacturing and inbound foreign direct investment are driving Việt Nam's economic growth. As of 2021, Việt Nam's exports accounted for 19 per cent of its GDP, an increase from less than 1 per cent in 2010. In fact, the country's export market has now surpassed Malaysia and Thailand.
He mentioned that Việt Nam needs to simplify business to increase investment, knowledge sharing, and tech transfers. For this, it is an absolute necessity that Việt Nam's legal framework, administrative procedures, and business incentives are given high priority. Next, public and private investors need to accelerate the green transition. Alain emphasised that since the Việt Nam Government's Law on Public-Private Partnership took effect in early 2021, the number of PPP projects has declined. As a result, in 2021 and 2022, almost no private money was invested in public infrastructure.
This is because currently, the Government's legal framework is too simplistic, does not clearly define investor rights, and is inadequate for regulating many of the main issues associated with PPPs. Alain hopes the Government will further streamline administrative procedures and develop a comprehensive legal framework so that FDI companies can make a greater contribution.
Meanwhile, Frederic Neumann, Chief Economist of Asia Economic Research Division - HSBC, stated that "dark clouds" are covering the global economy, which is inflation in the US and Europe. There is still no sign of cooling down, accompanied by a strong increase in interest rates by the Fed, which also pushed up the dollar's price.
Another factor that has a great impact on Việt Nam's economic activities is China. The economy is slowing down, the labour market is struggling, consumer spending is falling, and demographic problems are occurring.
According to the latest United Nations Population Fund data, Frederic said China's population growth would peak and then decline. Meanwhile, India's population growth will surpass China's from the beginning of next year and become the most populous economy.
As China's population has been ageing rapidly, the number of working-age people has shrunk. This also has impacted Việt Nam, as the shrinking labour force will pressure wages, workers and industries.
Accordingly, businesses have moved to Southeast Asian countries, including Việt Nam. As a result, Việt Nam is in a strong position to receive opportunities to attract businesses with the advantage of labour. Frederic said Việt Nam's growth rate remains solid, with a six per cent forecast for next year and among the countries with the fastest GDP growth in the world. LINK

Posted On2022-10-29 By Sotaliraq On Friday, economic expert Hussein al-Khaqani confirmed that Iraq's revenues are currently high due to the rise in oil revenues, noting that the new government should not rely on oil prices because they are subject to a decline at any moment.

Oil Prices Achieve Weekly Gains
Economie| 10:04 - 29/10/2022 Follow-up - Mawazine News: Oil prices achieved weekly gains, despite their decline in the Friday session, after China, the largest importer of crude, expanded its restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The weekly price hike came on the back of supply concerns and the release of unexpectedly positive economic data.
In the Friday session, Brent crude futures fell $1.19, or 1.2 percent, to $95.77 a barrel when settling, while US West Texas Intermediate crude fell $1.18, or 1.3 percent, to $87.90.
US gasoline futures fell nearly 3 percent, while diesel futures rose nearly 5 percent to their highest level since mid-June.
On a weekly basis, Brent crude rose by about 2.4 percent and West Texas Intermediate crude by about 3.4 percent.
Friday's drop in crude prices came after Chinese cities ramped up COVID-19 restrictions Thursday to stem the spread of the virus after China reported 1,506 new COVID-19 infections on October 27, the National Health Commission said, up from 1,264 new cases the day before.
The world's largest oil and gas companies, including ExxonMobil, Chevron and Equinor, posted huge profits in the third quarter, benefiting from rising energy costs that fueled inflation around the world and hit consumers hard.
These massive profits are drawing criticism from consumer advocacy groups in the United States and Europe as inflation rises.
In the meantime, OPEC is likely to maintain its forecast that global demand for oil will rise for another decade. https://www.mawazin.net/Details.aspx?jimare=209593

Tishwash: What is Sadr's position on the Sudanese government?
Political analyst Ziad Al-Arar revealed the position of the Sadrist movement after granting confidence to the Sudanese government, according to his reading of the political scene in Iraq.
Al-Arar said in a press interview, "The Sadrist movement is supportive of any reform process. The government program for the Sudanese includes good paragraphs, such as establishing early elections and providing a livelihood for the citizen, although we exclude that anything from those promises will be fulfilled because the nature of the government is quotas and its method will not produce anything for the Iraqi scene."
He added, "The Sadrist movement takes the position of observer of events, situations and the general situation in the country, as does 80% of the Iraqi people. They remain an observer of the course of things. If the political process in it is a turn towards serving the citizen, a certain decision will be taken at the time."
Al-Arar pointed out that "on the contrary, al-Sadr's decision is clear not to participate in a political process that includes the same corrupt faces, and with the same mechanisms, considering that" political action and everything depends on the future of events and the reform that will take place in the Iraqi arena from now until it appears what the new government will do. Tishwash: Economic fairs in Iraq... Investment opportunities or formal events?
Iraq's interest in holding trade and industrial exhibitions is increasing as the country is heading towards diversifying the economy and revitalizing the private sector, in an attempt to reduce dependence on oil revenues, which cover more than 90% of the country's general budget.
In an important step towards supporting local industries, the city of Mosul witnessed last September 22 the activities of the industrial exhibition "Our Industry, Our Identity", with the participation of more than 100 companies and industrial laboratories from the public and private sectors in various industrial fields and from different governorates of Iraq.
Numerous exhibitions
In turn, the Chairman of the Nineveh Chamber of Industry, Muhammad Ali Hazem Al-Mashhadani, says that the exhibition "Our Industry is Our Identity" - which was held by the Nineveh Chamber of Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and other parties - is of great importance, as it is a unique opportunity to meet between Iraqi companies from the public and private sectors, which achieves Dating, exchanging experiences and getting to know local products.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera Net, Al-Mashhadani indicates that the establishment of this exhibition, the first of its kind and size in Iraq, sent a message from Nineveh Governorate (north) to all investors that Mosul has returned to its economic position, which he described as "healthy and its land is fertile for investment."
The head of the Nineveh Chamber of Industry stresses that these exhibitions and events give strength to investors, and show them the extent of the stability of the security situation, which allows them to explore distinguished investment opportunities in the province, noting that the Chamber is preparing to hold many exhibitions outside Iraq, as well as others internally in various Iraqi governorates. Such as the exhibition that will be organized at the beginning of next November on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair.
The importance of exhibitions
In the meantime, the management of the Baghdad Investment Authority (a governmental institution) believes that these economic activities represent a real opportunity to attract Arab and foreign investments, attract expertise, and learn about the latest developments in the investment sector, in order to benefit from them in achieving investment goals and achieving economic development that the country seeks to achieve.
In a statement to Al Jazeera Net via e-mail, the authority confirmed that these exhibitions are important in building bridges of economic cooperation and trade exchange with the countries of the world in light of the reconstruction and construction phase that Iraq is currently experiencing, which will have a great impact on the country's economy in general and the capital, Baghdad in particular.
e beginning of next November, will achieve the results achieved by the previous exhibitions from fruitful cooperation between the authority and investment companies, investors and businessmen who were seriously acquainted with the role of investment in supporting the national economy and its importance in attracting heads of state. funds the country and attracting talents who work outside the country.
The companies that will participate in the Baghdad International Fair vary, according to the Baghdad Investment Authority, which confirmed that the majority of them are leaders in investment activity and in various residential, commercial, educational, industrial and entertainment sectors, considering that these exhibitions are one of the most important means of promotion and one of the doors of technological and cultural development, especially that Iraq currently represents A fertile ground for a variety of investment fields.
The Baghdad Investment Commission concludes its comment by referring to the investment experience in the capital, Baghdad, which it described as the "best" in Iraq despite the security challenges and obstacles, which was translated on the ground in granting the commission many investment licenses for various types of projects
Cosmetic exhibitions
The objectives for which the exhibitions are held vary according to the organizer, which is what the economist Hammam Al-Shamaa points out, adding that among them is the promotion of goods, whether they are consumer or production, in addition to introducing foreign companies to investment opportunities inside the country.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera Net, Al-Shamaa adds that these two goals are not available in Iraq now, attributing this to the fact that the private sector is unable to exploit the investment opportunities offered by the exhibitions, which applies to foreign companies that come to search for real investment opportunities, which means that all Those exhibitions do not go beyond being formal, as he put it.
And not only that, as Al-Shammaa believes that some exhibitions are held for the financial benefit that the organizers receive by renting sites inside the exhibitions to the participating companies, commenting, “When I say that neither of the two goals will be achieved, this does not mean this in whole, as it may be achieved in part, But the problem is that the available investment opportunities, despite their abundance, are not encouraging due to the turbulent security and political conditions."
any obstacles
The Iraqi investment sector faces many obstacles due to the loss of the most important means of attracting investments represented by news related to the security situation, and the legal facilities provided by the Iraqi government to investors, according to economic expert Salam Sumaisem.
Sumaisem adds to Al Jazeera Net that despite the presence of many opportunities, the spread of bad news about the prevailing bureaucracy, corruption and the deterioration of the security situation all lead to the flight of capital, especially since neighboring countries are witnessing many procedures that attract investment and competition for Iraq.
She points out that the instructions regarding investment are not flexible enough to enable them to keep pace with development in the world, and that these instructions collide with what she described as bureaucracy, which contributes to the growth of corruption and networks that blackmail citizens and investors, stressing that amending the law is not enough, and there is a need to update the instructions and train the supervisory human resources on its implementation.
In light of the presence of the current economic leaders in Iraq, it is not expected that there will be any development of the investment sector, according to Sumaisem, as there is no room for optimism and that the country needs factors and an administrative revolution, which can only be achieved by the presence of people with a mentality that keeps pace with what is happening in the world without Relying on the Iraqi administrative law that has been enacted since the beginning of the last century, according to it. link

Protests In Nasiriyah Against Parliament Granting Confidence To The Sudanese Government (AFP)
Posted On2022-10-29 By Sotaliraq October 29, 2022 Huda Jassim (Baghdad) The great challenges that Iraqis have faced for many years, which were inherited by the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, after it gained confidence in the Iraqi parliament, not the least of which are rampant corruption, deteriorating services and amending the Parliamentary Elections Law within 3 months, and then holding early elections within a year, according to the program governmental.
Although Al-Sudani’s government gained confidence only two weeks after his assignment, this comes more than a year after the early parliamentary elections, at a stage characterized by tension, political differences and even violence.
In statements to Al-Ittihad, experts and analysts believe that the challenges facing the new Iraqi government are very difficult, and they ruled out a near end to the current crises, despite Al-Sudani's promises to fight corruption and achieve a breakthrough in basic services, and to move away from the policy of axes in foreign relations.
Yesterday, Al-Sudani received his duties in the government palace from former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, while the new ministers attended, accompanied by Al-Sudani, to receive their ministerial portfolios in an official ceremony. Al-Sudani held his first meeting with members of his government.
Despite the end of the political impasse that has plagued the country for a whole year, since the results of the early parliamentary elections were announced in 2021, which witnessed a low turnout, this does not mean the end of the “crisis,” as experts confirm.
Dr. Ghazi Faisal Hussein, Director of the Iraqi Center for Strategic Studies, asserts that among the most prominent challenges facing the Sudanese are "uncontrolled weapons, corruption, and organized crime" that threaten opportunities to achieve sustainable development and invest in economic and human resources and Iraq's wealth.
Hussein added that implementing the government program within a year, preparing for early elections, and the ability of this government to find constructive solutions to the crisis in relations between Baghdad and Erbil are among the crises that constitute major obstacles for the new prime minister. He ruled out the government's ability to face these challenges soon, in light of the culture of quotas that the parties adhere to, pointing out that the revealing parties should review the mistakes they committed, which led to the destruction of the economy and the monopoly of power.
For his part, Professor at the University of Baghdad, Ihsan Al-Shammari, believes that the Iraq crisis is not only related to successive governments, but lies in a flaw in the structure of the system and how the political class deals with transformations in society and with democracy.
Meanwhile, the leader in the "Coordination Framework", Turki Jadaan, revealed what he described as "a 100-day plan to renew the blood of the security system in Iraq."
He considered that “the dismissal of senior leaders in the general office or at the level of defense and interior is normal, and comes in accordance with the context of his plan to strengthen the security system,” pointing to the possibility of changing 5 important security leaders in the coming days, according to his information. In the government programme, the political forces agreed to “amend the Parliamentary Elections Law within three months and to hold early elections within a year.”
Early elections constituted a major demand of the "Sadr movement" during the past months, and its supporters took to the streets and staged a sit-in in Parliament, raising that slogan.
Holding early elections and giving guarantees to the Sadrists may contribute to “the relative stability of the scene,” explains Ihsan al-Shammari, who suggests that Al-Sudani will move towards a “containment strategy for the Sadrist movement.”
The danger of tension in the street still lurks, as Al-Sadr has always been able to mobilize the streets, as happened during the summer. Al-Shammari believes that "if the Sadrist bloc, as a public or as a political track, feels that it may be completely isolated, and that there is a plan to undermine its political future, we may be facing a reaction." Stabilization Of World Oil Prices
Friday 28 October 2022 09:59 | Economic Number of readings: 367
Baghdad / NINA / - Oil prices maintained their gains, supported by expectations of increased demand as a result of the recovery of the economy in the United States, although the possibility of an increase in interest rates negatively affects the performance of other markets.
According to Reuters: Prices of future contracts for West Texas Intermediate crude settled at the highest level in two weeks after the US government estimates revealed that gross domestic product grew at an annual rate of 2.6% in the last quarter, after declining during the first half of the year. This growth eases recession fears and boosts the demand outlook for crude oil.
Oil recorded a monthly decline in its prices four times in a row during the second half of the year, affected by fears of stagnation in the economy.
The market continued to suffer from its volatility in the month of October, as traders weighed expectations of weak demand with the expected shortfall in supply after the “OPEC +” alliance announced a significant reduction in production.
The oil market appears to be more recovering, and total oil exports to the United States hit a record high of 11.4 million barrels per day last week, while domestic fuel stocks fell to very low seasonal numbers.

Samson: What future awaits the Egyptian pound after the flotation?
28th October, 2022
The Egyptian pound took a new step towards complete liberalization against the US dollar, as the exchange rate of the Egyptian currency reached about 23 pounds for every dollar in local banks, whether state-owned or private.
Analysts and specialists differed in evaluating the downward movement of the Egyptian pound, and about whether it was a complete or managed liberalization subject to the control of the Central Bank, at a time when they agreed on a continuous decline in the value of the Egyptian currency.
On Thursday, October 27, Cairo announced the completion of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund at the expert level to obtain financing amounting to about $9 billion, including $3 billion directly from the Fund, in addition to $1 billion from the IMF’s debt fund. Cash, and $5 billion from development partner countries and various financing institutions.
Expected
Commenting on what happened, Rania Yacoub, a specialist in the Egyptian financial markets, believes that the decline of the Egyptian pound against its American counterpart is expected, especially with the Egyptian government ending the loan agreement, explaining that "the relationship between the pound and the dollar, down and up, will remain according to the forces of supply and demand until the end of next week."
Yacoub attributed this to the state of confusion in the economic environment today, as it included successive events between moving interest rates by 200 basis points, which is equivalent to two percent, or floating the local currency by liberalizing the exchange rate of the pound against the dollar, and finally completing the agreement with the International Monetary Fund. .
Yaqoub expected that commodity prices would witness a significant increase in the coming period following the decision to float, pointing out that "the prices during the last period were already inflated, given that importers were making their future deals at the price of the dollar, which ranges between 22 and 24 pounds for every dollar."
Reports by Bloomberg Agency last week indicated that the price of the US dollar may reach the level of 24 pounds for every dollar if Cairo implements a complete liberalization of exchange rates.

For her part, former Vice President of Banque Misr Sahar El-Damaty said that "the Central Bank of Egypt's announcement of a flexible exchange rate for the Egyptian currency against foreign currencies according to the forces of supply and demand came as a result of the demands of investors and specialists as one of the recommendations of the economic conference that was held this week."
Al-Damaty explained that “the direction of the Central Bank to deal with a flexible exchange rate according to supply and demand will be a managed liberalization subject to the control of the Central Bank, to avoid the effects and inflationary shocks, as it targets price stability,” considering that the exchange rate movements today “are not considered complete liberalization,” noting that "what supports this is raising interest rates by two percent to fight inflation, and then followed by government banks by issuing savings certificates at an interest rate of 17.25 percent to curb liquidity and provide indirect financial support to the owners of savings certificates, as pensioners and the family sector represent the most prominent investors in these certificates."
The Central Bank of Egypt has moved interest rates by five percent since last March during three meetings, which began during an extraordinary session on March 21 by raising interest rates by one percent, then another decision in May to move by two percent. Then, price levels were stabilized for three consecutive meetings before raising interest rates again today, Thursday, to reach interest rates levels to 13.25 percent, 14.25 percent and 13.75 percent, respectively.
Inflation levels in Egypt reached a record level for the first time since 2018, after recording last September about 15 percent, compared to about 14.6 percent in August.
Increasing the interest rate on savings certificates
Meanwhile, government-affiliated banks issued savings certificates for a period of three years with an annual return of 17.25 percent, and the Assets and Liabilities Committee in the bank decided to increase the interest rate on the platinum certificate with a monthly return to become at a return of 16 percent annually instead of 14 percent, starting today for new or Renewed automatically, and Banque Misr raised today, Thursday, the interest rate for issuing the summit certificate for a period of three years, with an annual return of 17.25 percent.
Meanwhile, the non-deliverable contracts for the Egyptian currency for a period of three months declined further after the government committed to a flexible exchange rate system within the framework of an agreement with the International Monetary Fund. Every dollar, while there was little change today on the prices of Egyptian government bonds in dollars, according to "Reuters".
Inflation rates
For his part, a specialist in banking affairs, Hani Aboul Fotouh, said that “the Central Bank’s decision to raise interest rates, by 200 basis points, was a sudden and unexpected step during an exceptional meeting and surprised markets and analysts,” explaining that “the recommendations confirmed the flexibility of the exchange rate to reflect the market dynamics of supply.” And demand as a tool to absorb external shocks, and work to activate the derivatives market for currency and futures contracts as a hedging tool against the risks of exchange rate fluctuations, and to issue an index for the Egyptian pound denominated in some currencies for the most important trading partners and gold.”
Aboul Fotouh added that "the rate of domestic liquidity is high, as the volume of liquidity reached about 6.708 trillion pounds (289 billion dollars) at the end of last July, in addition to expectations that the inflation rate will continue to rise globally and locally with the secondary effects of supply shocks," noting that it had It leads to a rise in inflation rates on average during the fourth quarter of 2022.
Commodity price hike
For his part, the analyst in the Egyptian financial markets, Wael Al-Nahhas, said that “the prices of the Egyptian pound against the dollar will continue to decline until it reaches about 27 pounds for every dollar,” explaining that “the International Monetary Fund loan of 3 billion dollars will not meet the needs of importers and investors in The local market," noting that "the value of goods stuck in Egyptian ports as a result of the scarcity of the dollar has reached $20 billion."
On the impact of the currency’s decline and raising interest rates today on the markets and prices of commodities and products, Al-Nahhas said that “the Egyptian markets have been dependent for months on the strategic stockpile of commodities that have almost run out as a result of the goods stuck in ports due to the continuation of the documentary credit system by the Central Bank, before announcing relieve it today.
At the beginning of last March, the Central Bank of Egypt stopped dealing with collection documents in import operations and worked under the documentary credit system instead, with the exception of 15 basic commodities, which created a crisis among importers for their inability to provide foreign currency.
The decision caused an accumulation of goods inside Egyptian ports, and its effects began to be reflected on the local market, especially with regard to the scarcity of some goods and the tendency of traders to raise their prices in record rates across commercial sectors, before the Central Bank announced today easing the severity of the decision after its gradual cancellation of the instructions issued in the February 13, 2022 for the use of documentary credits in import financing operations until the completion of its complete cancellation in December 2022.
In an official statement, the Central Bank excluded shipments amounting to 500 thousand dollars instead of 5 thousand dollars from the documentary credits decision.
Commenting on this, Amr Al-Samdouni, Secretary of the International Transport and Logistics Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce said that "the decision to work with documentary credits up to $500,000 instead of $5,000 will lead to a major breakthrough in the exit of goods piled up in ports and thus revitalizing the markets."
Al-Samdouni added that "everyone who now has a container of less than $500,000 will be able to get it out of the ports and put it on the market," noting that "there were containers worth $10,000 and $50,000 that were idle and stored in the ports as a result of not opening a letter of credit for them, and therefore Every merchandise below $500,000 will leave the ports."
On prices, he explained, "There may be increases as a result of the rise in the exchange rate, but they will not be in large proportions," stressing that the rise in commodity prices during the last period "was not subject to economic criteria, but to the greed of traders." LINK

All the currency swaps Iraq did with the other nations, they wouldn't swapped for no value and a program rate. The markets are on the verge of spiraling and the release of the ReIssued dinar will give value to the other currencies of the world.
RVAlready: I hope they RV to at least $1.21. 1200 just keeps the gravy train on the tracks for those who steal from the currency auctions. We need to stop the stealing.

Tishwash: Popular discontent and anger after the announcement of the Sudanese government
The political editor in (Iraq Today) wrote:
The Iraqi street faced the announcement of the Sudanese government, with rejection and grumbling
And resentment, after the narrow partisan quotas and self-benefits revealed its teeth, and it continued to impose its reality or this is what it tried, but these attempts will disappear affected by the state of frenzy in the street.
Commentators said that "what happened in the Sudanese government represents a clear and major setback for the efforts to combat nepotism, as there are those who passed this booth by imposing their will on everyone, and taking the lion's share of it, but through the option of wrapping and rotation, closed rooms and deals that kept national talents away and brought people closer." Certain, they are satisfied to be fronts for hidden forces that control them from a distance, and want to continue the equation of looting and theft.
Otherwise, everyone knows that the removal of the top and best candidates was due to the movement of a certain cartel that controls the scene and tightens its grip on power within the winning political forces that were entrusted with the task of forming the government after the resignation of the Sadrist movement.
This cartel played an important role in bringing out the most dangerous part of the political game with this weakness and emaciation, and this terrible regression. Is it possible for someone to be called the Minister of Youth and Sports when he did not watch a single football match in a stadium?
It is believed that a senior national officer, a man with a long history in the security work and has travels and tours in the face of terrorism, is excluded from assuming the position of Minister of Defense or the Interior, because of the dissatisfaction of a person like (….) who tells his close relatives that this officer did not answer in Once on my phone!!
Who would believe that this cartel would exclude a prominent and powerful oil figure in favor of a weak one, and the reason is that this man did not fulfill the wishes and requests of one (pachos) of that terrible cartel..?!
There are dozens of examples and similar situations that prevented the arrival of great professional competencies and capabilities in various fields to take over the management of ministries and advanced positions..
Of course, behind them stand trivial reasons that have nothing to do with their specializations, and we will soon reveal these positions by names, so that the Iraqi people know How is the catastrophic evaluation carried out, the type of measurements against which the level of the candidate to take over the ministry portfolio is measured, and the type of people who evaluate these competencies.. And the coming days are really fraught with surprises. link
