"Iraq currently produces 19.5 gigawatts of electricity annually and needs 26.5 gigawatts, which makes up for the difference by importing seven gigawatts from neighbouring Iran," Jabr said during a speech at an energy conference in Cairo.

"This is a must because the ministry does not have enough generating capacity to cover demand in Iraq," he said, adding that "it is difficult for Iraq to achieve electricity self-sufficiency, but it may be able to do so in three years."

The governor of Baghdad, Mohammed Jaber al-Atta, told al-Sabah newspaper that the province, among its plans to provide adequate housing for The Citizens of Baghdad, is seeking to completethe project of the five residential cities surrounding the capital.

He said the project includes the creation of land in areas of the outskirts of Baghdad such as Nahrawan, Taji and Abu Ghraib, as well as Mahmoudiya and Husseinia to build 100,000 full-service housing units, he said, adding that the province is working to coordinate with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to provide it with the names of the poor within the base.

Economy News - Baghdad:   Oil prices stabilized Tuesday as investors kept an eye on u.S. inventories data due later Tuesday, after two days of gains by crude due to positive economic data and hopes for a trade deal by Washington and Beijing. .

By 0739 GMT, brent crude futures had fallen by a cent to $62.12 a barrel after rising 0.7 percent in the previous session.

U.S. crude futures fell nine cents to $56.45 a barrel.

U.S. crude oil inventories are expected to rise last week, while oil inventories are likely to fall,according to a preliminary Reuters poll on Monday.

Oil has been supported by hopes for a trade agreement between the United States and China, the world's two largest oil consumers, which could boost demand.

Oil investors are closely following the initial public offering of Saudi State Oil Company Saudi Aramco, which is expected to be the largest listing in the world.

On the supply side, Russia cut its oil production to 11.23 million barrels per day last month from 11.25 million barrels per day in September, but again missed its pledge under an agreement to curb production.

The bank confirmed that the construction loans to citizens amounting to 50 million dinars after the provision of a real estate bond for residential land, provided that the area is 200 meters or a building permit is approved in the name of the loan student exclusively for a period of ten years.

"The advances ofthe employees of the home state departments are paid exclusively by the bank alone, the highest of 25 million dinars and the electronic submission from the bank's branches," he said.

Economy News – Baghdad   Iraq is rehabilitating a bank completely destroyed by the terrorist group ISIS, which will soon open to trade with Syria through the only current border crossing between the two countries.

"The process of rehabilitating a branch of al-Rasheed Bank, in the judiciary, west of Anbar, has begun to deposit a tax and the money for syrian trucks entering the country," said Ahmed Gedyan, the head of iraq's border area with Syria, in a statement quoted by Sputnik news.

"The bank's branch is completely destroyed, inside al-Qaim, which is about 300 metres from the border crossing with the Syrian city of Albu Kamal," he said.

"The bank only has a non-destructive wing, which is being rehabilitated, because of the heavy amount of money deposited from trucks entering Syria, iraq, tax, and others," he said.

Gideon revealed that the bank's wing will open very soon, noting that the only place where the money will be deposited in and out of trucks currently stopped is because the large funds are available only through the fortified fortress.

"Work on the rehabilitation of the al-Rasheed Government Bank wing in the city has been going on since last month," he said.

He explained the reasons for the delay in resolving the entry order, and the exit of commercial trucks between the two countries, through the port to the decision issued in accordance with the agreement between the Iraqi and Syrian sides, which stipulates that Syrian truck drivers must review the Iraqi embassy, in Damascus, to obtain a multilateral visa.

The bank confirmed that the construction loans to citizens amounting to 50 million dinars after the provision of a real estate bond for residential land, provided that the area is 200 meters or a building permit is approved in the name of the loan student exclusively for a period of ten years.

"Theadvances ofthe employees of the home state departments are paid exclusively by the bank alone, the highest of 25 million dinars and the electronic submission from the bank's branches," he said.
