MZ: We are finally seeing some great movement. Check in again on Friday or Saturday. We hope to have a solid update by then.

MZ: I spoke with a number of bond folks and they expect updates throughout the day tomorrow. They are having meetings and conference calls then.  I should get an update early to mid afternoon tomorrow. They do expect things to happen quickly.

MZ: Iraq is supposed to approve the budget by Saturday. My contacts over there expect things to happen on Saturday.

Member: I think Iraq is ready to go.

MZ: Iraq is forcing the issue …moving forward no matter what. That’s probably why they dumped $200 plus million dollars  (we talked about it this morning) . They don’t want any US cash. They are going to pull the trigger no matter what.  It will be one of two things. Either the Us will come along or the US will be awfully pissed. We still get to exchange no matter what. You will not be left out.

Member: Mark, if Iraq goes without the US does that mean that our exchange rate is low?

Member: It may start low and float….we have to wait and see.

Member: I hear the trigger is now at the Treasury Dept

Member: Guys, this is an internal float. Our international rate once up on the Forex is completely different. We are not there yet. This float announcement is encouraging but not impetuous.

Member: I pray this has truly started and cannot be stopped

Member: According to Rod Steele the activation of the QFS and the RV will occur simultaneously. June 1st is a soft target date but not set in stone. Bo Polny says that our exchanges will be complete by 6-25!

Member: Another day of withdrawals at Wells Fargo Bank, Teller told me, "hardly any deposits today; everyone is withdrawing". I was withdrawing! This is three days in a row, and the Tellers are noticing

Member:  Does Biden extending the state of emergency for Iraq mean anything to us? Will this make Iraq go alone?

MZ: Iraq answered that…..He extended it yesterday …and today Iraq responded by dumping US dollars.  They are removing themselves from US control . Iraq is giving the US the big middle finger and they will be going. Iraq is going no matter what……I still belive it will all be going at once….but am prepared in case Iraq goes alone.

MZ: They will have to drag the Us along…kicking and screaming, whining and complaining.

Henig:  US newspaper: Washington "loses" its influence in Iraq because of the dollar

The American newspaper (The Craydell) announced in a report published on Tuesday that Washington is "losing" influence over the Iraqi authorities as a result of measures currently being taken against the use of the dollar inside the country, which it said the United States uses as a "tool of political pressure." 

The newspaper explained, according to what was translated (Baghdad Today), that the Iraqi government, after taking a decision to prevent the circulation of the dollar locally on the fourteenth of this month, directly weakened "the control of the United States on the Iraqi political situation" as a result of the policy of "grabbing the dollar" pursued now, as described.

"The US administration uses the dollar as a means of political pressure, which has reflected on the Iraqi economic situation significantly, especially during the past few years as a result of the restrictions imposed by Washington on Iraq's access to its treasury of dollars," she said.

She added, "The Iraqi government moved quickly towards measures that reduce its dependence on the dollar towards extracting it completely from the Iraqi economy to maintain stable internal conditions at least," as she described.

It is noteworthy that MP Hussein Munis told the newspaper that the Iraqi economy "is enslaved by the United States through the dollar," which forces Iraqi legislators to go to reduce the circulation of the dollar in the Iraqi market to get rid of Washington's "influence" on the economy, as he described.    LINK

Henig:  AL-RAFIDAIN DIRECTS THE COLLECTION OF CUSTOMS TAXES AND DUTIES IN IRAQI DINARS

Tuesday, May 16, 2023 9:44 PM Baghdad / National

News Center Rafidain Bank directed, on Tuesday, to collect taxes and customs fees in Iraqi dinars.

The bank said in a statement received by the National News Center that "in compliance with government directives and the instructions of the Central Bank of Iraq, the bank directed its branches at border crossings to collect taxes and customs fees in Iraqi dinars."

The bank instructed "its border branches (Trebil - Al-Waleed - Rabia - Zarbatiya - Basra Free Zone - Fleifel - Trade Exchange Area - Safwan border - Khor Al-Zubair - Al-Haswa Customs - Al-Shayb border) to adopt the dinar in collecting customs duties and taxes instead of the dollar."

The bank decided that "the receipt of the stamp duty will be in Iraqi dinars," noting that "this step comes in support of the national economy and the strengthening of the Iraqi dinar currency."  LINK

Frank26  Article:  "Iraqis banned from trading in US dollar"  They banned the American dollar.  They can't use any foreign currency inside of Iraq.  What does that tell you?  They're preparing to introduce their new national currency paper along with a new exchange rate to match it.  They're called lower denominations.  

Pimpy  Article:  "Central Bank attributes the reduction of the dollar exchange rate to the increase in cash reserves and electronic platform"  What the cash reserves do, it allows them to flood the market with a competing currency therefore driving down the exchange rate slightly.  In this case Iraq's parallel Market, people were given up quite a bit of dinar to get the U.S. dollar.  And what that does is affect the official rate.

Welcome everybody to the big call tonight. It is Tuesday, May 16th and you're listening to the Big Call whether you're live or listening on the replay links, or whether you're getting this call translated simultaneously into your own country's language or languages as the case might be. I know that last Thursday we were in a 100 countries with the Big Call, and I don't know probably till next couple of days, whether we're in that same amount or more, but we're reaching at least 20 or 30 million people with the Big Call every night now every Tuesday or Thursday night - so glad to hear that  - and I'm excited to be here tonight. I think we have some good things to report. Some good stuff to share with you. And I'm looking forward to that.

Okay, good. Well, let's see, we can only go till 11. So just kidding, we're not going to have that much Intel. But what I have, I think you'll appreciate. So thank you very much for that. All right, a little bit of a later start tonight, but that's okay.

Let's bring up just two or three things.

Number one, and this was blowing my mind when I was hearing about it was, is there something more from Iraq really, really?

This is this is what we're hearing I just got a little bit more so it's good timing I guess.

For what we're waiting on, it appears that you know how we have held the rocks and billing for time I'm gonna say months if not years, they've kind of been ready and then they were not ready and then they're ready and then we want something else. And then we ask him for something else.

Well, let me put it this way. This is a convenient, An Inconvenient Truth. This is something that's happening tomorrow morning in Iraq. They're going to expose their budget like we care - they're going to open the budget, which will have their newest - newest new rate in the budget for 2023 - and their HCL law.

Really?  hydrocarbon law?  Really?  Don't get me started on this you guys. But that's supposed to be brought out in the morning in Iraq. This is just a game that we've been playing with Iraq – it’s a powetr play -  Okay, you can go no, you can go you can go yes, you can. No, you can’t. That's what it's been like.

And okay, so you got that little shell game going on in one corner of the room. And then you hear later this afternoon. I mean, later this evening, we got this - that the UN confirmed from three separate sources so far, that the Treasury had released the codes to Wells Fargo at around five o'clock this afternoon Eastern time.  And that would allow everything to move forward from the Wells Fargo redemption center point of view.

So Treasury sent the release codes to Wells Fargo around five o'clock. And now the RV for the United States is theoretically in motion. We can say in motion here.

The last piece of information I got was that they the release algorithms were let go about two hours ago. And I'm not quite sure how that plays into it. But I know that that we do use algorithms to discern when is the best time of the release of numbers of emails of emails to the bondholders, emails to us with a toll free number that we can call and set appointments.

Alright, let's go bottom line. It appears. The bottom line is that things have started from Treasury, the Wells Fargo and it should be coming out to us in some timeline. Probably I would say by sometime after 10 maybe mid morning to noon time tomorrow.

We could see these 800 numbers coming by email to us. Now, the other reason I've got that timeframe in mind is after Iraq does their thing - tomorrow I was told that that we would be receiving our notifications by email after 10am in the morning.

I believe -- this is a theory I had a long time ago -- you guys remember it? I believe that whatever time they come out east Eastern time zone, so let's just say they happen at 10:30 in the morning - For example - This is for example purposes only.

If they came out at 10:30 on the East Coast, they come out at 10:30 on in central time zone and at 1030 in mountain time zone and 10:30am Pacific Time Zone, go to Alaska same thing – Hawaii – same thing -

Okay, that's a theory and I believe that's what I'm being told that that will be the case.

So, not a whole lot else to talk about.

Really, because if the release code set this in motion, which is what we believe happened, that of  3 resources to confirm so far prior to the call.  Tomorrow is going to be a really interesting day you guys.

The so called reduced or redacted version of the Durham report came out at 2PM just yesterday, Eastern Time and was leaked, fortunately broadcasts on CNN and they did a May a Koopa sort of we call it a true apology story. But they went ahead and announced that they're I think it was also on a news  max and maybe maybe all that the networks covered it.

But it's a good report. It is this information that we all knew was true - about President Trump none of those things that they accused him all of were true and were all a pack of lies what we already knew that. But tomorrow – from what I I understand - the full, the Durham report comes out, everything would be dumped out and there'll be a lot. There'll be a lot going on. There'll be well over 3000 arrests taking place in a number of different areas as a result of the report.

So I think we're looking, it could be very interesting to see how this unfolds tomorrow. And I believe we're going to get some good news might not be this week - But some pretty good news I understand about the Brunson case. I believe this is what I’m hearing  whatever I'm saying whatever I do anyway. That is supposed to be the Brunson case especially acknowledged on the 23rd of May - adjudicated or decided on the 24th of May, with the return of President Trump on the 25th Now let's see if that comes true.

With any success maybe it happened sooner than that. But that's those are the days that was given last night.  We’ll see

Obviously we want to get this RV done and get that started. And then we'll get the med beds up later, probably in June. And starting. We'll just keep on going. Keep on going.

Guys, I think that I can go on and on but you know reasonably. I mean we got what we have and it's a good. This is a good piece of information. A good piece of Intel. So let's let's wrap the call up.

Member: Today in history 1973: The United States Senate Watergate Committee begins televised hearings, investigating the Watergate scandal that eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

MZ:   Let’s get started. Nader has been getting attacked …just like I am and others….about his float comments. He highlights an article that was released late Sunday /early Monday in Iraq. It’s talking about floating….and how the official rate is still set but they let it float  in a range around the official rate.

MZ: What we are seeing and what people on the streets over there are telling me (people that live there and work there) is that they are seeing a very wide floating range. 1100-1150 is what many are insisting on .

Member: The CBI is not going to change the rate they have published. The Kuwaiti Central bank did not publish a rate change until about 10 days after the rate had been floating …….THE CBI is probably the last place you should be looking for a rate change. What the Iraqi citizens are seeing on the streets is different from what they put out in the press.   Nader touches on this in his video.

MZ:  Even contractors who get paid from one day to the next are having to renegotiate their rate because it is constantly changing. It is floating, changing and moving. Is it officially on a float….according to the CBI-no.   But according to people on the streets who are experiencing the float-yes.

MZ: “A former deputy demands a response to the US violations. What about the ambassadors movements?”  This story broke yesterday in Iraq. They are asking about US foreign policy. They do not have permission to use missiles in Iraq. The Iraqi people are standing up more and more to the controls.

MZ: “ CBI sells +$216 million in forex on Monday” This just means they sucked a tremendous amount of dinar off the streets. From foreign people trading things and buying things. $216 million in USD is $281 Billion in Iraqi dinar that was pulled off the streets. We are watching them do everything they need to do to increase the value of the dinar……they are preparing for it.

Member: that's de-dollarization.

Member: Did they vote on the budget yet?

MZ: No…..we are told to expect the vote now on Saturday. BUT…last Saturday we started to see them ship the oil out of Erbil through Turkey which is part of the HCL . The belief is from almost all the contacts I have- is that they have already passed it and are waiting to announce it. I am guessing they are dotting the last I’s and crossing the last t’s right now before they announce it to their people.  

Member: This is very confusing.

Member: I wonder if we are we waiting for an event at TREASURY before they press button

Member: I feel we need to look for a big event driven to flip the script. we are in historical dates that surrounds our freedom.

Member: Wolverine said the codes were sent to the treasury yesterday and ready for the green light

Member: After the IQD RVs and small denomination bills are introduced, I wonder  how long do you think we will have to redeem the large notes before they are deemed to have no value?

MZ: “ In depth-Texas lawmakers consider creating gold backed digital currency for use by anyone, anywhere”  It would use an existing debit card type format …your assets would be held in tokenized metals. This is becoming more and more main stream news.

MZ: No news from bankers or historic bond folks.  They are being leaned on to be exceptionally quiet.  They did have expectations for yesterday and this morning….they feel like they are on a minute by minute watch. Even my redemption center contacts are watching minute to minute right now.

MZ: I hope it is accurate and really that close.

MZ: Remember there is a massive amount of misinformation out there. We were always told this would happen and its just as frustrating as we thought it would be.

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Wednesday that the approval of the financial budget is reflected positively by increasing the volume of international investments in the country's markets.

According to a statement issued by the ministry today, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met, on Tuesday, the United Kingdom Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson-Richardson.

The statement pointed out that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and inviting His Excellency to visit the United Kingdom in the coming months to open the sixth session of the Iraqi-British Trade Ministerial Council and sign the partnership and cooperation agreement between the two countries.

The statement also pointed out that they discussed the efforts and procedures of the Iraqi government in dealing with the issue of migration, and the Iraqi government's efforts to reduce escalation and find diplomatic solutions to crises by adopting mediation and dialogue efforts in the region.

The ministry continued in its statement that during the meeting, they discussed dialogues with the International Monetary Fund in the application of non-financing programs to provide support and advice to the Iraqi government to implement its economic reform program, and the approval of the Iraqi parliament of the government budget, which will be soon, which would be reflected positively by increasing the volume of international investments in the Iraqi markets, especially in light of the security and economic stability that Iraq is currently witnessing.

And she continued, "The US administration uses the dollar as a means of political pressure, which has greatly affected the Iraqi economic conditions, especially during the past few years, as a result of the restrictions imposed by Washington on Iraq's access to its stock of dollars."

And she added, "The Iraqi government moved quickly towards measures that reduce its dependence on the dollar towards extracting it completely from the Iraqi economy to maintain stable internal conditions at least," according to its description. 

It is noteworthy that a member of Parliament, Hussein Moanis, told the newspaper that the Iraqi economy is "enslaved by the United States through the dollar," which forces Iraqi lawmakers to move towards reducing the circulation of the dollar in the Iraqi market to get rid of Washington's "dominance" over the economy, according to his description.

The committee also voted on Article (28), which includes clearance procedures for the retired employee, and Article (29), on granting the employee a five-year leave, and terminating the contractor’s contract at his request in exchange for a reward equivalent to three months’ wages.  link
