Saleh said, “The priority in the draft budget law for the year 2022 will be to pay the external and internal debts owed by Iraq, because failure to pay them is considered a failure and a not good international financial indicator .”
And he indicated that “nine trillion dinars of debt services (installments and interests) will be paid from the 2022 budget, and the interest in paying foreign debts falls within the country’s good credit rating .”
Saleh added that “the draft budget law for the year 2022, so far, has not been completed and work is continuing to complete the project as soon as possible.” aynaliraqnews.com

Dave NORV Just wondering......out of this 80 Trillion in circulation ....how much of that would be held by us Dinarians.......?
NORV Dave Since they increased the money supply as a result of the reduction in exchange rate (last Dec) and now that it takes more dinar to buy the same goods, my view is the majority of this money is on the streets in Iraq. Otherwise no reason to have such a descriptive article. It is also confirmed in the article...
NORV From a different point of view, economic expert Hammam Al-Shamaa explains in an interview with Al-Alam Al-Jadeed that “the increase in the Central Bank’s sales of dollars comes due to the increase in the monetary mass, as it was 42 trillion dinars, before the Minister of Finance announced last year that he would not pay Salaries and lack of revenues, so he borrowed from the Central Bank about 37 trillion dinars.
He explains that "the total mass of cash rose to about 80 trillion dinars, and since this amount is in circulation, it turned to the demand for the dollar or the purchase of real estate, which caused the current rise in real estate prices in Baghdad and all of Iraq."
