Tishwash:  A Member Of Asa'ib Warns Of Foreign Attempts To Return Iraq To Article VII (1/30)

A member of the political bureau of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Ahmed Abdel-Hussein, warned of foreign attempts to divide Iraq, split the Shiite house, and return the country to Chapter VII.

Abdul-Hussein told Al-Maalouma, "External challenges greatly affect the political consensus, and there are programs that are being implemented inside Iraq by the occupying and colonial countries, as well as tools for normalization as it seeks to return Iraq to Chapter VII."

He added, "A lot of attempts are being made at the present time in order to tear the Shiite ranks and the Iraqi people in general to serve the interests of Washington and its allies."

And he indicated that "the thwarting of external attempts to penetrate the Shiite component or divide it depends on the unity and understanding between the coordination framework and the Sadrist bloc to face the challenges facing the country."   link

Tishwash:  The Prime Minister of Iraq affirms his country's keenness to strengthen regional and international relations

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi affirmed, on Saturday, his country's keenness to strengthen its regional and international relations, in a manner that ensures the strengthening of security and stability in Iraq and the region, and laying the grounds for sustainable development for the benefit of the Iraqi people and the brotherly and friendly peoples.

Al-Kazemi's media office stated - in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that this came during Al-Kazemi's meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jenin Plaschaert, where they discussed the overall political and security situation and its developments, in addition to reviewing cooperation and bilateral coordination and ways to support programs carried out by the international organization in Iraq.

For her part, Plasschaert affirmed the position of the international community in support of Iraq regarding the current challenges, and the importance of adopting dialogue as a way to resolve differences.  link

Tishwash:  Next Monday (Tomorrow) Is Set As The Date For Announcing The Names Of Candidates For The Post Of President Of The Republic

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, announced, on Saturday, that next Monday will be set as a date for announcing the names of the candidates for the post of the Presidency of the Republic after completing their audit.

Al-Zamili's office stated, in a statement received by "The Information", that "the first deputy speaker of parliament held a meeting with the ministries and relevant bodies to discuss the biographies of the candidates for the position of the presidency, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, the head of the Integrity Commission, the senior undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and the deputy head of the Accountability and Justice Commission."

Al-Zamili indicated, according to the statement, that "26 candidates for the presidency of the republic are working to check their CVs."

He pointed out, "The meeting witnessed a discussion of the biographies of all applicants for the position of President of the Republic with the competent authorities  link
