The legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, explained that next April 6th is the last date for the election of the president of the republic by parliament, pointing out that the court has a general authority that allows it to make decisions regarding the selection of the president.

Al-Tamimi said in a press statement, which was followed by the Independent, that “the decision of the Federal Court was clear and allowed the opening of the door for candidacy for the post of President of the Republic for one time only, and therefore the Presidency of Parliament has a period of 30 days in accordance with Article 72 II of the Iraqi Constitution from the date of March 6 to April 6, in order to During which the President of the Republic is elected in a binding manner.

He added, "After the failure to pass a candidate for the presidency of the republic on March 26, in the event that this matter is not resolved, the parliament presidency has only a few days until April 6. Article 64 of the constitution or referendum of the Federal Court.

The leaders of the coordination framework expected, on Monday, a rise in the number of boycotts of the next session of the House of Representatives in the event that the "other party" insists on not dialogue and agreeing on sound outcomes for forming the government and other benefits.  

A member of the coordination framework, Aref Al-Hamami, said in a statement to the official newspaper, followed by "Nas" (March 28, 2022), that "until now, there are no understandings and there is no solution to matters, so the coordination framework adheres to its position and will not attend the parliament session next Wednesday." He expressed the hope that "there will be an understanding before the session."  

He added that "if there are understandings, surely there will be a change in the situation," noting that "the number of deputies who boycotted the session to choose the president of the republic amounted to 126 deputies, according to the signatures we collected, in addition to deputies who did not attend the session and did not sign." He expected that "the number of boycotters will reach more than out of 137 deputies, and in this case, the blocking third is still in place.”  

Al-Hamami denied that "there will be withdrawals from their side, but from the second party to the framework, and what is rumored about a solution to Parliament in the absence of a session to elect the President of the Republic is not true, but there are parties who took this issue as a pretext to intimidate some independents to change their position." "Parliament will continue in its regular sessions until an agreement is reached on choosing the president of the republic."  

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi postponed the presidential election session, which was held last Saturday, to next Wednesday.  

And the Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement that "Nass" received a copy of it (March 26, 2022), that "the House of Representatives raises its session to next Monday."
