Baghdad / Obelisk: The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq "UNAMI" called on Monday, May 23, 2022, representatives of political parties in the Kurdistan region to a joint closed meeting within days.
This came in a statement by the mission, which was received by Al-Masala, that it is inviting representatives of political parties in the Kurdistan region to a joint closed meeting on Thursday, May 26.
The statement added: With the approach of the Kurdistan Region elections scheduled for October 1, 2022, this meeting provides a good and timely opportunity to exchange views directly. LINK

A source in the Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed today, Tuesday, that the committee made amendments to the emergency food security support law, including canceling the internal and external borrowing paragraphs, indicating that the amount allocated in the law proposal amounted to 25 trillion dinars, subject to change as needed.
The source, who asked not to be named, told Shafak News Agency; The "proposal of the Emergency Food Security Support Law contained some articles similar to the law sent by the government and repealed by the Federal Court."
The source added; The Parliamentary Finance Committee made amendments to the proposed draft, including canceling internal and external borrowing due to the rise in oil prices and the availability of funds, with the exception of continuous borrowing in a listed project and the state contracted with it earlier.
The source added, "The Finance Committee canceled the articles and paragraphs related to borrowing, which amount to 15 trillion dinars, and that the proposed draft currently in the Committee does not contain any borrowing."
The source pointed out that "the amount allocated in the proposed law on emergency support for food security is 25 trillion dinars, and there may be an increase or decrease in the specified amount according to the needs of ministries, departments and state institutions."
On May 19, 2022, the House of Representatives completed the first reading of the proposed law on emergency support for food security and development.
On May 18, 2022, the committee submitted this proposal to the presidency of the Iraqi parliament as an alternative to the project submitted by the current caretaker government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
On Sunday, May 15, 2022, the Federal Supreme Court (the highest judicial authority in Iraq) decided to cancel the draft law on emergency support for food security and development (in its first version) based on a lawsuit filed by Representative Basem Khashan, while it indicated that the Al-Kazemi government is a conduct of business and is not entitled to Sending bills, contracting loans, appointing to high positions in the state and exempting them, or restructuring ministries and departments.LINK

Frank26 IMO there will be two meetings. This will be the CBI, the government of Iraq - Kazemi, Minister of Finance, Minister of Planning, they're going to bring in members of parliament. IMHO on what they are going to be talking about Tuesday and Wednesday and eventually tell you (or not tell you but tell the citizens and you'll get it indirectly from FIREFLY boots on the ground report.) it will be a review/discuss the ATM machines in Iraq. Frank26 Not only the government ATM machines but the private banks of Iraq ATM machines and they also will be talking about the ATMs that are owned abroad around the world internationally ...Why is the CBI going to discuss what they have accomplished with these ATMs not only inside of Iraq but also the ones that are all over the world international in private banks?
