A professor of political science at the University of Baghdad, and the former ambassador to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, Qais al-Nuri, according to Russian Sputnik, says that even in the event of the issuance of this American project, which provides for the abolition of the authorization to use military force in Iraq, this does not mean in any way that the American forces will not resort to a limited response in Iraq. The case of its forces under armed attack.

The US State Department had announced earlier that the administration of President Joe Biden supports the repeal of the 2002 Iraq War Authorization Act.

US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said last Tuesday that the Biden administration supports repealing the law because it is no longer necessary to protect US interests for the foreseeable future, and for the State Department, repealing the 2002 authorization for the use of military force will not affect our diplomatic activities.

Sherman continued, "The ministry has made it clear that we do not have ongoing military activities that rely solely on it, and that its cancellation will have little impact on military operations."

About two decades ago, the US Congress had passed a law giving then-President George W. Bush the green light to launch US military operations in Iraq, where it was believed that the late Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was hiding weapons of mass destruction.  LINK
