Money and business   Economy News-Baghdad    Today, Monday, Fadel Al-Gharawi, a human rights specialist, reported that 90% of Iraqi society has resorted to purchasing healthy water.

Al-Gharawi said, in a statement, that "despite the presence of fresh water sources in the Tigris and Euphrates, the proportion of the Iraqi citizen of drinking water was no more than 5 liters per day," noting that "90% of Iraqi society resort to buying healthy water, and this percentage is considered the lowest For countries with water resources, such as Egypt, Sudan, Syria, and some African and Latin American countries.”

Al-Gharawi attributed the reason for this to “the deterioration of the private water transport network, in addition to the inefficiency of the water liquefaction plants and the continuous interruptions due to the lack of electrical power supply and the periodic maintenance of these stations.”
