The Ministry Of Industry Intends To Produce Iraqi Cars

The Ministry of Industry and Minerals revealed a plan and direction for the manufacture of an Iraqi car, while noting that raising fuel prices stopped part of the factories due to the high production cost, and stressed that the rehabilitation of Iraqi factories needed huge funds.

The ministry's advisor, Ammar al-Janabi, told the Iraqi News Agency, "In order to carry out a renaissance in the industrial sector, real twinning between the private and public sectors must be achieved by facilitating the procedures for participation and investment contracts between them," noting that "strategic public sector companies remain only.

With the Research and Development Authority, the Geological Survey, the Department of Organization and Industrial Development and Industrial Development only, and others, it goes to privatization because it is more capable of managing it without draining public budget funds, as it is a problem that may grow even more.”

Al-Janabi added, "Despite the current challenges, a chlorine plant has been operated in the Al-Furat State Company, which has been suspended for more than 10 years, in addition to operating the petrochemical plant, and low-density granules were produced, and soon a high-intensity operation will be carried out," continuing that "sufficiency is enough."

Now self-sufficient in Iraqi cement is a boom and an achievement, but unfortunately the increase in fuel prices from the range of 150-250, and now it is expected to raise it again to 350, and part of the factories has been suspended due to the high production cost.”

He continued: "We have a big problem that occurred in the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, which is the management of companies after disbursing amounts amounting to 3 trillion Iraqi dinars to rehabilitate our ministry's factories through the investment plan in 2014 after the entry of terrorist Daesh gangs, as the plan stopped until 2019, which affected most of the disparate projects.

Between 50-90% of the suspension and extinction, in addition to the reluctance of some companies to prepare due to the suspension of the contract’s permanence.”

He pointed out that "these production lines came to a halt, and in 2016 they tried to merge and promote companies, but this merger had a negative impact, and there were 12 profitable companies that turned into only two companies."

And Al-Janabi, that "rehabilitation needs huge funds, especially since after 2014, the investment budget stopped and financial support stopped, and projects remained suspended within high completion rates due to the extinction," explaining that "only the ongoing projects during 2021, are the ones that have currently achieved rates." high achievement."

He noted that "for the first time there is a relationship between the private sector represented by the Federation of Iraqi Industries and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, which is a very good relationship and constructive joint cooperation, especially since most of the investment projects for the year 2021 and 2022, the private sector entered and invested in them, and for example, there is currently a plan for the industry Iraqi cars.    https://www.radionawa.com/all-detail.aspx?jimare=29816
