America: We Will Not Hesitate To Use Force In Iraq
Iraq 3/4/2021 The US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) confirmed that it would not hesitate to use force if Americans were exposed to danger in Iraq, after Wednesday’s missile attack on the Ain al-Assad base, which hosts US forces.
"Let's let our partners in Iraq investigate the missile attacks," Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told a news conference, noting that "the United States will see after that if there is a need to respond."
On Wednesday, at least ten missiles targeted the Ain al-Assad base, in an attack that resulted in the death of an American civilian contractor, who suffered a heart attack while he was trying to take cover.
Kirby described the attack as a "disturbing development," but said: "I think we have clearly shown that we will not be ashamed of it. But we are not there yet."
She said that the administration of US President, Joe Biden, is still evaluating the impact of the attack that occurred on Wednesday and trying to determine who was responsible for the missile attack on the base.
As for the British Foreign Office, it said that the attacks on Ain Al-Asad base, west of Anbar, undermine the stability of Iraq.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed that targeting the Ain al-Assad base did not harm Iraq.
In a press statement, Rasoul said, "The Ain Al-Assad base is Iraqi and targeting it does not harm the interest of Iraq and its people."
It is noteworthy that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, during the discussion of the Ministerial Council for National Security, confirmed the attack on the Ain Al-Assad base, that "such attacks are carried out by groups that have no true affiliation with Iraq," indicating that "the security services have clear directions to take a decisive stance against these groups." Whatever the different names and claims. "
The joint operations promised to launch missiles at bases and missions an act of terrorism, while pledging to bring the launchers to justice. https://www.radionawa.com/all-detail.aspx?jimare=23760
