Al -Ghazi Is Directed To Study The Proposals To Amend Lending Controls And Raise Recommendations Within Ten Days

in addition to the initiative to
lend citizens to purchase housing units to encourage To build housing units, including granting loans to citizens who have been in housing plots within the (Dari) initiative launched by the Prime Minister.
Majeed added that
"the Secretary -General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al -Ghazi, heads the Supreme Committee for the Leading of Big Enterprises, and
it continues with its meetings to discuss the projects that are presented to them in order to provide facilities and simplify procedures,
and constantly stresses the importance of simplifying procedures for granting large loans to investors and industrialists,
to finance projects (residential (residential And service, industrial, and agricultural) within the initiative of the Central Bank of Iraq,
which would contribute to developing the industrial and commercial reality in Iraq, and providing job opportunities for engineering, technical, administrative and service energies. The committee recommends during its meetings.
He continued:
"The committee also discussed recently the amendment of the lending controls for industrial projects, and the
involvement of discreet private banks to implement documentary credits, in order to enhance competition and reduce lending costs for borrowers."
He pointed out that
"the Secretary -General of the Council of Ministers directed the formation of a team of members of the committee, to study the proposals submitted and submit their recommendations within ten days,
in a way that does not contradict the controls and instructions of the Central Bank of Iraq, for the purpose of deciding and approved them."
Regarding the loans for small and medium enterprises submitted by citizens, Majeed said that
"after providing the committee by studying the feasibility of the project, and all the required requirements, the
approval of lending to implement the project takes place, and to

he stated that the central bank is working in one of the largest oil exporting countries in the world and relies heavily on oil revenues, which represents more than 95% of the financial budget for Iraq About 60% of GDP.

The report quoted the Director General of Investments at the bank Mazen Sabah Ahmed as saying;

noting that the bank’s governor visited Iran in February to meet his counterpart Ali Saleh Al -Abadi, while he was quoted by Iranian Vice President Mohammad Makhbar as saying that
