 The Central Bank decided, (September 1, 2019) the adoption of international rating agencies classification of Iraqi banks.

A statement of the bank, "The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq decided to adopt rating agencies that have criteria (External Credit Assessment Institution) (ECAI) emanating from the decisions of Basel, to classify financial institutions in Iraq."

"Agencies are: Standard & Poor , Moody's , Fitch Ratings , Capital Intelligence, " he said.

He stressed that "the bank will consider requests made by other rating agencies."

The bank required the availability of credit rating from one of the four agencies above for banks operating in Iraq that wish to conduct the following banking operations:

- Fixing credits for exporting Iraqi crude oil through the Oil Marketing Company ( SOMO ).

- Opening government documentary credits up to $ 50 million.

- Issuing and accepting letters of guarantee for the benefit of government departments.

The Board of Directors of the bank pointed out that "this decision is effective in 2020 when banks complete their readiness and receive a credit rating that qualifies them to practice the above mentioned banking operations at any time."

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has decided to adopt the rating agencies that have the criteria of (External Credit Assessment Institution) (ECAI) emanating from the decisions of Basel, to classify the financial institutions in Iraq, namely :

Economy News _ Baghdad   Iraq's oil exports for August amounted to more than 111 million barrels, the Oil Ministry said Sunday, citing revenues of more than $6 billion.

"The total oil exports for August, according to the preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi oil marketing company Somo, amounted to 111 million 706,000 and 151 barrels," said Oil Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad in a statement received by Economy News,

adding that "the total oil exports for the month of August, according to the preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi oil marketing company Sumo, amounted to 111 million 706 thousand and 151 barrels,"

pointing out that "revenues from these Exports amounted to $6.341 million and $553,000, while the average price per barrel was $56,770."

"The total amount of crude oil exported last August from oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to 107 million, 520,000 and 44 barrels,

while kirkuk fields through the port of Ceyhan amounted to 3 million, 253,000 and 665 barrels,

while the quantities exported from the field of Ceyhan amounted to 3 million, 253,000 and 665 barrels, while the quantities exported from the field of Ceyhan amounted to 3 million  253 ,000 and 665 barrels,

while the quantities exported from the field Qayyara is 928,963 barrels, while the quantities exported to Jordan amounted to 3,479 barrels."

According to the latest update in August, "the cost of living in Switzerland is 210.42% higher than in Iraq for all cities," the report said, adding that "this percentage did not take into account the cost of rent."

"The rent in Switzerland is 352.35 percent higher than in Iraq," he said.

"The cost of living in the Swiss city of Geneva is 188.04% higher than in Baghdad, and the cost of living in the Swiss city of Zurich is 200 percent higher than in Baghdad," the report said.
