Coordination Framework: We Received Six Conditions From The Democratic Party And We Are Looking Into The Matter Of Al-Halbousi

Posted On2022-07-01 By Sotaliraq   On Thursday, the coordinating framework revealed the latest developments in its understandings with the active political forces in the scene, to form the government, while indicating that it still has not reached the level of a final agreement, and is awaiting the outcome of the parliament session scheduled to be held after the Eid al-Adha holiday.

The periodic meetings of the coordinating framework forces resulted in the designation of three important committees, including the “Committee for Writing the Governmental Program” and the “Negotiation Committee”, in addition to the Committee for the Management of the File or the Political Decision, which includes the leaders of the forces affiliated with the framework.

Since the Sadrist bloc’s representatives submitted their resignations from the Iraqi Council of Representatives and the withdrawal of the Sadrist movement’s leader Muqtada al-Sadr from the political process, the coordinating framework has addressed the task of forming the new government and entered into internal negotiations and dialogues with other political forces, but until now it has not been officially announced that understandings have been reached between the two parties. The blocs lead to the formation of the government.

A source in the coordination framework stated, “The framework forces are open to all the active forces in the political scene to resolve the formation of the government, in line with the requirements of the stage,” noting that “most of these forces expressed their interaction with the framework’s proposals, and from all components, including independent representatives, although they did not They determine their compass yet.”

The source added, "All indications confirm the tendencies of the independents to ally themselves with the Coordinator, and the latter may assign them to nominate a candidate who will compete within a group of candidates for the position of prime minister."

He pointed out that “a coalition led by Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi has not yet determined its position, whether in agreement with the framework or vice versa. It is a strong ally of the coordination framework.”

He continued, "This behind-the-scenes dialogue was not publicly presented through an official dialogue table," noting that "the Democratic Party is still insisting on implementing its demands (reconsideration of the Federal Court law on the oil file, approval of the oil and gas law, implementation of Article 140, settling the issue of Sinjar, allocating 17% of the budget for the Kurdistan Region, in addition to the allocations of the Peshmerga.”   LINK

Position Of The President Of The Republic:

Posted On2022-07-01 By Sotaliraq   At the Faili Kurds Conference held in December 2005, Mr. Masoud Barzani promised the Faili Kurds that he would open all closed doors in their faces and hand them the keys to the doors. It is unfortunate to say that Mr. Masoud Barzani did not keep his promise.

It is worth noting that the position of candidate for the President of the Republic at the time of the late Kurdish leader Mustafa Barzani, the late Habib Muhammad Karim, the Gaelic Kurdish figure, was nominated for the position of President of the Republic within the March Agreement and with the insistence of Leader Barzani, but the March Agreement did not materialize and was replaced by the notorious Algiers Agreement.

The important thing now, after this historical introduction, is that Mr. Masoud Barzani did not contact the Kurdish candidate, Professor Dr. Kamal Aziz Qaitouli did not discuss with him or listen to him for consultations, despite his nomination for the presidency of the republic twice. This negatively affects the position of the Kurdish leadership towards the Faili Kurds and the issue of supporting them and removing injustice from them.

Professor Kamal is an independent international academic personality and has a well-known political and historical entity. He, his family and his Gaelic component provided caravans of martyrs.

We hope that Mr. Masoud Barzani, his advisors and all Kurdish leaders will reconsider their positions on the issue of the Faili Kurds and the nomination for the presidency of the republic, and we hope the support of the independent academic Professor Dr. Kamal Qaitouli as a compromise candidate on which all parties agree to reach a moderate and acceptable solution to end the stalemate and political impasse.  Dr.. Parliament: Interfering in Iraqi affairs and controlling political decisions is more dangerous than military

Posted On2022-07-01 By Sotaliraq   The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Mueen Al-Kazemi, considered, on Thursday, that external interference in political affairs is more dangerous than military intervention because of the presence of parties working in favor of those countries to control the Iraqi decision.

Al-Kazemi said in an interview, "The United States of America has penetrated government institutions, transgressed diplomatic pacts, and made its embassy a place to conspire against Iraq and its people," calling on "the federal government to reconsider its relationship with the American side."

He added, "The matter is not limited to the military side only, but the US embassy was penetrating the Iraqi political aspects by launching a soft war to move the Iraqi street, similar to what happened in 2019".

He pointed out that "the political parties must be at the level of patriotism they speak in order to form a position towards the American side by forcing foreign countries to engage in real diplomatic dealings like other countries."

And the representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Suhaila Al-Sultani, had confirmed in a previous interview with “The Information” that “the United States of America will not be able to bring terrorism back to Iraq again,” stressing “the need to hold the internal parties that seek to destabilize the security situation in the country accountable.”   LINK
