Tishwash: Two travelers were arrested in possession of (83) MasterCard cards prepared for smuggling at Baghdad International Airport
Today, Friday, the Border Ports Authority announced the arrest of two travelers in possession of (83) MasterCard cards prepared for smuggling at the Baghdad International Airport port.
The authority revealed in a statement, a copy of which was received by NRT Arabic, that the Baghdad International Airport Port Directorate was able to arrest two Iraqi travelers in possession of 83 MasterCard cards hidden without declaring them.
The statement added that the seizure process was carried out in joint cooperation with the Airport Customs Center and the Customs Police through careful inspection, noting that a committee was formed, a fundamental arrest report was organized, and the accused were referred to the Airport Police Center to take appropriate legal measures. link

CandyKisses: The US Treasury Secretary calls on China to abandon its economic policy
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen called on China to abandon its “unfair directed economic policy.” Because it discourages investors and punishes the Chinese economy and American companies alike.
Yellen said in a speech before the US-China Business Council in Washington on the occasion of its 50th anniversary that “For too long, American workers and American companies have not been able to compete on equal terms with their counterparts in China".
She added that if “Beijing moves away from its directed economic approach in the areas of industry and finance, it will be better for China.” It will also be beneficial for American companies.
She stressed that “a very important role for public companies could stifle growth, and an excessive role for security services could hinder investments” .
For his part, Chinese President Xi Jinping confirmed in a letter to the US-China Business Council that the modernization his country is witnessing will benefit American companies.
US companies have long complained about what they see as an unfair business environment in China.
According to Washington, the intellectual property of American companies is not properly protected in China, and the Chinese government gives national companies preferential treatment at the expense of foreign companies.
But the Chinese President stressed in his message that Beijing “will work steadily to promote high-level openness to the outside world, and create a business environment based on internationalization, a market economy, and the rule of law".”. /span>
In his message, Xi stressed that “Chinese modernization will bring more opportunities for global companies, including American companies”.
The message, according to what was reported by the CCTV network, added: State TV: “There is great potential, wide space, and promising prospects for enhancing trade cooperation between China and the United States".”
In her speech, the US Secretary stressed the need to manage the inevitable differences between China and the United States in a "responsible".
She said: “The United States seeks to continue responsible management of the bilateral economic relationship between the United States and China.” Which will continue to “face continuing difficulties”.
She continued, “We do not seek to resolve all our differences or avoid all shocks. This is not realistic in any way,” pointing to “strong differences between the United States and China in many areas”.”
The two largest economies in the world have recently been seeking to ease the severe tensions that their bilateral relationship has witnessed in recent years.
Several officials from President Joe Biden's administration made official trips to China, including Yellen.
In November, the US President and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping held a summit in California during which they agreed to resume military contacts.

MZ: I am hearing more and more contacts from different nations saying that they now have the “GO”. We don’t know the timing but it’s my understanding that they have been releasing the countries one by one . They all should go at one time but they are getting their permissions and marching orders now.
Member: I heard the 20th is going to be a great day!
Member: That’s when Iraq can start spending the 80% of their 2023 budget and has 5 days to spend it…….
MZ: Yes we know Iraq has a lot of money to spend between the 20th and the 25th.
MZ: I am hearing from different governmental sources that it is all released and the amounts have been agreed to and shared with the participating countries. Now, we are waiting for someone to say “GO” and we do not know what the timing is. I think the banks may know but they are not telling me.
Member: They said in the past that Some Saturday night….when all the banks are closed the rates will change and we will wake up to a new world on a Monday morning. Fingers crossed.
MZ: No spendable money from bond folks…..yet. I did get an update from a CMKX source letting me know that they just updated “Fines and penalties” again. They update fines and penalties bi-weekly.
Member: Frank26 had a bank story where someone went in to see if they could exchange dinar and was told they will but, “Not until the next Friday”
MZ: Yes many sent me that in my inbox. Next Friday is a week from today. That is what the bank told that person.
Member: That bank story from Frank was actually a group that had about half a billion dinar.
MZ: You should all go watch Franks video. It’s his information…..he deserves the credit for it.
Member: Rumors: 16,000 Bond Holders who could see their funds but didn’t yet have access to them, but would go on Sun. 17 Dec with access to them on Mon. 18 Dec. They would be pretty much done by Christmas.
Member: I have heard from two different sources that phone numbers on Monday and Exchanges on Tuesday.
Member: Rumor is dinar will float…what then?
MZ: I am not worried about a float. None of my bankers are worried about a float. You guys are welcome to worry about a float if that’s what you want to do with your time. But I was told that because of the “Oil for Dinar “program –the redeeming banks or redemption centers that this will be our best price. All my bankers agree.
Member: I hear RV starts the QFS , Qfs is backed by gold/silver , xrp protocol runs the Qfs . It’s all goes at once .
Member: Can you tell us the steps we will take once we get notified?

Member of the Parliamentary Investment Committee, Asaad Al-Bazouni, stressed the country’s need for investment projects in economic development, agricultural, industrial, and health fields.
Al-Bazouni told {Al-Furat News} agency, “Basra is considered a good incubator for investment, especially foreign investment, as large foreign companies intend to invest in the province, and all of this requires security stability to attract investors.”
He stated that “the Ministry of Industry’s adoption of the Investment Partnerships Forum in the presence of investors and giant foreign companies is considered a good step with the presence of the security, investment and environmental incubator.” link

Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani said on Thursday that: "Economic reform is its gateway to financial and banking reform," while noting that "the government is committed to providing the dollar at the official price, and stressed its keenness to end the suffering of Kurdistan employees due to their salary delays,"
Al-Sudani said in a televised interview followed by "informed" that: "Conducting the population census is the first steps to implement Article 140 of the Constitution was postponed to 2024 after it was scheduled to be held this year because of the provincial council elections," pointing out that "it is time to raise the outstanding problems between Baghdad and Erbil, which lies at the border and budget ports."
He added, "We went to borrow from the Ministry of Finance to pay the salaries of the employees of the Kurdistan region and we are with finding a solution with a legal amendment that considers the employees of the Kurdistan region like the rest of Iraq's employees," stressing that "the government is keen to end the suffering of the crisis of the salaries of Kurdistan employees."
On the other hand, "economic reform is its gateway to financial and banking reform and the issue of the exchange rate requires this reform and we are committed to providing the dollar at the official rate to traders, investors, contractors, students and travelers."
He pointed out that "95 percent of our trade now passes through the electronic platform and there are those who circumvent the law and buy the dollar at the parallel price because he does not want to implement legal procedures."
“We will not accept that the official dollar rate is equal to the parallel rate because it encourages smuggling,” he stressed. On foreign trade, Al-Sudani said: "There is no problem for the Iranian side in dealing with trade with Iraq in dinars or toman."
“The problem of commercial transfers to Turkey has been solved by opening accounts in Turkish lira,” he continued. He stressed that "food prices have remained stable, despite the attempt of manipulators to speculate on the price of the dollar."

The period of electoral silence entered into force today, Friday (December 15, 2023), in preparation for the start of the voting process for the governorate council elections.
The special voting elections will be for "military personnel." On Saturday, December 16, therefore, the electoral silence began today, Friday, at six in the morning and will end with the closing of the last voting box on December 18 in the general vote.
Electoral silence is a period determined by law that precedes every presidential or parliamentary election, during which the practice of political propaganda is prohibited, during which all independent and coalition parties and lists are prohibited from engaging in any activity within the framework of their electoral campaign, and during which candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying out any operation that falls within the framework of promotion, propaganda, and gaining favor. Voters.

I received some information yesterday from a trusted source: The window for Tier4b (us, the Internet Group) to receive an appointment is between now and Sun. 17 Dec.
Today Thurs. 14 Dec. we got something that extends it to Tues. 19 Dec.
Tonight Thurs. 14 Dec. a Treasury representative said Tier4b would be notified Mon. 18 Dec. with exchanges starting on Tues. 19 Dec.
There were 16,000 Bond Holders who could see their funds but didn’t yet have access to them, but would go on Sun. 17 Dec with access to them on Mon. 18 Dec. They would be pretty much done by Christmas.
Tier4b will probably go on through Christmas to the end of the month with the Redemption Centers, but they did say they intend to get this done before Christmas.
Tier4b should get email notification from Wells Fargo on Mon. 18 Dec. and start Tues. 19 Dec. That is the plan and that’s what been given to me
The Redemption Center rates will be the best available – you won’t get that in the small banks. Even if you only hold Dinar and Dong still call the toll free number because the rates you get at Redemption Centers will be the highest.
There was a two page Non Disclosure Agreement you would have to sign and the 55 page booklet of who not to give money to. If you give money to someone listed in the booklet your account will be seized.

Member: Frank26 said Iraq last changed their rate on 12/20/22. Seems they like that date.
Member: And Iraq will spend the other 80% of their budget right after that…wihin 5 days. Between the 20th and 25th…..
Member: It seems 2 me, IRAQ set the 20th 4 the flip. if they R going to spend the 80% at that time, retroactive to 1-1-23, wouldn't they want that CURRENCY VALUE 2 B much HIGHER?
Member: Frank26 said that they are making the 80% retro active back to Jan 1 and this would spend it all
MZ: In Iraq: “Central Bank achieves a new step in the right direction to regulate foreign trade.”
MZ: Also the CBI just wrapped up meetings with the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve about “ Becoming International” and they are content with the changes they have made for Iraq to be fully recognized internationally.
Member: I heard a rumor that the IMF has approved everything……and is done
Member: I heard the dong will come out at .47…Seems a bit odd as I thought it would come out closer to the dinar since they own so much of each others currency?
MZ: When we first got into this and looked at the Vietnamese dong we were hopeful it would come out around.30 to .36 cents. Which is still amazing. But I have not heard it was going to be that low. I am still hearing it will be between $2 and $3.
Member: Recently we've heard 11 million per 100T Zim. Is this the guru consensus or can we expect the previous range of 30-50M?? Is there a humanitarian trust to fund YUGE global projects?
MZ: That is not the consensus. I have one source who thinks it will be $41 million per one 100T note ….Others still claim it will be somewhere around $30 million per one 100T note. Reality is no one will know the rate until we get to the finish line.
Member: I am crossing my fingers, toes, leg & my eyes lol… that this is it, we are about to cross the finish line.
