Clare:  International Monetary is optimistic about the Iraqi economy: it is witnessing an improvement

The Regional Director of the International Monetary Fund expressed, on Wednesday, his optimism about the improvement of the Iraqi economy, stressing at the same time his support for the government's "reform" programmes.

The Iraqi Ministry of Finance said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that its Minister, Taif Sami Muhammad, received today the Regional Director of the International Monetary Fund in Iraq, Ghazi Shbeikat, indicating that the meeting discussed a number of files related to the framework of joint cooperation between the two sides, most notably providing technical advice. necessary by the Fund to enhance financial reform plans, in addition to involving international experts in the process of developing the performance of the banking sector and improving accounting systems and budget work.

And the Minister of Finance stressed, according to the statement, that Iraq is looking forward to more cooperation with the IMF, in support of the government's reform programs that it is implementing in the sectors of finance, economy, investment and sustainable development projects.

For his part, Shbeikat expressed, according to the statement, his optimism that the Iraqi economy will witness an improvement in annual growth rates, and that this improvement will be reflected in supporting the rest of the development sectors.    LINK

Clare:  The President of the Republic: The need to expedite the approval of the oil, gas and wealth law as the property of the people and future generations

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the need to expedite the approval of the draft oil and gas law.

 A presidential statement, of which the Euphrates News Agency received a copy, stated that Rashid "received today, Tuesday, in Baghdad, the head of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, Representative Hibat al-Halbousi, the first and second deputy heads of the committee, and a number of committee members."

President Rashid stressed, during the meeting, the need to expedite the approval of the oil and gas law in a way that guarantees the Iraqis to enjoy their national wealth with justice and equality, and that it belongs to the people and future generations, indicating that the approval of the law is important in resolving outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.

He touched on the need to support the oil industry, especially with regard to investment projects in the sectors of gas, oil exploration and refining industries, and to address the obstacles it encounters, stressing that it has priorities in the government program.

The President of the Republic stressed the need for good planning and management and following modern methods in implementing projects aimed at increasing and improving the level of oil production in the country, and working to find appropriate mechanisms to benefit from the gas wealth in the country and not waste it, and reduce dependence on imported oil derivatives.

The President of the Republic spoke about his participation in the United Nations Water Conference held in New York, and the realistic picture put forward by the Iraqi delegation about the dangers facing the country as a result of water scarcity, which has begun to affect the lives and livelihoods of citizens in general. 

He also stressed the importance of taking urgent measures to confront the water crisis and reduce the severity of these risks by finding innovative and sustainable relief solutions at the local, regional and international levels, stressing that His Excellency had sensed, during his meetings with a number of leaders of the participating countries, solidarity and support for Iraq in the face of water scarcity and climate changes represented by desertification. And the drought that bears its burdens greatly.

In turn, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee affirmed the committee's interest in President Rashid's directives, and work to invest the country's natural resources in the best way and in a manner that achieves progress and well-being for our country and our people, calling on His Excellency to adopt the water file in order to find solutions to reduce its effects.

Al-Halbousi indicated that the committee has been working towards approving the oil and gas law that has been stalled in parliament for years, pointing out that there is a desire among most blocs to legislate this law in a way that reflects positively on strengthening and developing the reality of the oil sector in Iraq.   LINK

The Eastern economies are clearly on the rise. Their ability to be on an even playing field with the rest of the world is positioning them for self-sustaining economic trading powerhouses.

A lady went to the bank with her Vietnamese dong and asked “What’s the rate?” The teller said “ Hmmmm-the screen says this”. She said “can I exchange it?” and the teller said “sure” He took it…..and the lady got paid…and the teller got fired…..because it was “too soon” .

MZ: We know we are seeing those rates….so I am not surprised that this happened. I have heard a couple stories where people have gotten lucky on that front.

Member: Does the rumor mill still support Nesara/Gesara and the first basket all going together? Or are we angling toward a handful of independent RV’s on their own? Either way I am hoping the QFS exists and will back them 

MZ: About 90% supports the idea that Nesara and the first basket all goes together.

MZ: Yes a lot of them are getting emails…but they do not have liquidity yet. That is what I am looking for.

MZ: Militiaman and Nader both had good ones. Nader is talking about the rumors of a new 20K dinar note being printed. Think about this one. They told us they are getting ready to accept coins. They told us they are going to reinstate lower denominations…..BUT, then they come out with a story about a new 20,000 dinar note and they are getting ready to print it. Well, that certainly would hide a lot of activity-right? 

MZ: Why would they post a 20K note??? They already have a 25 K note and a 10K note…they don’t need it. But it does hide a lot of changes to ATM’s, banking , trucks, deliveries ect…..

MZ: I highly suggest you guys follow both Nader and Militiaman and like and subscribe their videos. Frank also brings great stuff with his contacts in Iraq. Please support them all.

MZ: I love the video from militiaman today. He talks about the oil and gas law and he stresses the point that they told us specifically that the rate would change over the next “few weeks to months”  to keep us guessing ….but this is to “parallel their wealth of this nation ”

MZ: They have record amounts of reserves. Record amounts of money and record amounts of assets…..and they are telling us the currency rate will soon parallel that  “To show its true value”. So this news about the $20,000K note is to keep us all uncertain.

Member: More smoke and mirrors to add to the ginormous list of smoke and mirrors we are seeing everywhere.

MZ: “World Bank supports automated public financial management in Iraq” This will make things easier and make the reset easier.

MZ: “Saudi Aramco  boosts China investment with two refinery deals” This is why BRICS is so successful . This is why the US is being left behind. We havn’t built or updated our refinerys here in the US in decades. Since the 70’s our “Achilles heel” has been refining.

MZ: I shared the articles last night where BRICS nations now has a larger GDP than the G7 nations . This makes them the big boys on the block.

MZ: No new rumors …there is a tremendous amount of chatter of people rushing here or there. But, nothing solid on CMKX or PP’s. No real money is moving yet. There has been some table top deals and speculators buying to resell ….but, they havn’t been able to resell yet.

Member: Any timing guesses or hunches?

MZ: My guesses or hunches:  We are seeing a lot of scrambling as if they are preparing and trying to go between April 1st-3rd. It actually would not surprise me if we got notices today. It would not surprise me if we got notices in 3 weeks. I can tell you based on what we are seeing from the paymaster side, the group side…all of them …that it appears that 3 day window is in their targets. So my hunch is somewhere in there. But this is just a hunch.

Member: Read this morning that there's a problem with the USD is being smuggled into Syria (devalued Syrian pound) which causes big currency shortages in Iraq. Then flip the switch! That would solve that!

CandyKisses:  522 MasterCard cards filled with sums of money intended for smuggling were seized at Basra Airport

The Border Ports Authority announced on Wednesday the arrest of three travelers in possession of 522 international MasterCard cards intended for smuggling at the port of Basra International Airport.    

The authority said in a statement received by NAS (March 29, 2023), that "the Basra International Airport Port Directorate, through the intensification of inspection and audit procedures for passengers and goods, was able to seize three passengers in possession of an international MasterCard card numbering 522 cards that were filled with amounts of money for the purpose of smuggling money from hard currency outside the country by withdrawing those amounts in the countries they intend to travel to."  

She pointed out that "a ban was organized to seize assets and refer the accused and cards to the Basra International Airport police station to present the matter before the attention of the competent investigative judge to take appropriate legal measures."  

Tishwash:  Parliamentary anticipation to include the budget on the agenda of the sessions next week

A member of the State of Law Coalition, MP Muhammad Al-Sahyoud, confirmed, on Wednesday, the inclusion of the draft budget law for the current year, indicating that the form and content of the budget necessitates delay in its presentation and discussion within the parliamentary committees.

Al-Shihoud said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "The Council of Ministers drafted the budget bill in a new manner, as it included a real budget for the current year and two budgets for two consecutive years, but it is not binding if the draft law is approved." 

He added, "The Presidency of the Council believes that the draft law needs to study some political and technical observations that have not been studied by the Presidency for the purpose of referring them to the concerned committees," stressing that "the next few days, the draft budget law for the current year will be included. The deputy for the State of Law coalition,

Muhammad Al-Shammari has expressed his surprise at the behavior of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi in delaying sending the budget and his insistence on passing political laws, calling for revealing the real reason behind hiding the budget.  link

CandyKisses:  The Central Bank records the highest cash reserve in its history

The Central Bank of Iraq has recorded the largest financial reserve in the country's history, according to the government's financial adviser.      

The Prime Minister's Advisor for Financial Affairs, Mazhar Muhammad Saleh, said in a press statement followed by "NAS", (March 29, 2023), that the Central Bank's reserves are currently the largest in the history of Iraq after reaching $ 115 billion.  

Saleh considered that "the Iraqi economy is strong and faces crises easily and the situation is moving towards improvement," noting that "Iraq is moving towards gradually improving the digital payments climate and compliance towards the world."   

He stressed that "the packages launched by the Central Bank are smart and give reassurance to the Iraqi citizen," explaining that "we have entered the stage of digital payments correctly in Iraq."  

On January 19, the Central Bank of Iraq announced significant growth in its foreign currency reserves last year.  

Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq Ammar Hamad said on January 23 that "the reserves of the Central Bank amounted to more than 99 billion dollars.  

The Iraqi Council of Ministers had approved the adoption of the Central Bank of Iraq's decision to raise the value of the dinar against the dollar to 1300 dinars instead of 1470 dinars, in a move aimed at strengthening the value of the local currency.  

The rise in oil prices during the past year, which in some months reached more than $ 100, contributed to the rise in Iraqi financial revenues, which was reflected positively in the increase in Iraq's hard currency reserves.

Tishwash:  New talk from the Central Bank regarding the exchange rate and the possibility of printing a denomination of 20 thousand

On Wednesday, the Central Bank expected a decrease in the difference between the official and parallel exchange rates during the coming period, while it indicated that a decision would soon be issued regarding the possibility of printing a denomination of 20,000 dinars.

The assistant general manager of the investment department in the bank, Muhammad Mounir, said, "The packages and procedures of the Central Bank of Iraq contributed to limiting the continuous rise in the exchange rate of the dollar," expecting "a decrease in the difference between the official and parallel exchange rates in the coming period through the first, second and third packages of the Central Bank." In addition to the government's continued support.

Mounir added, "The Central Bank is in continuous updating of all procedures, and every step that is launched is reviewed and the extent of its response and impact on the market is measured and what are its pros and cons, if any," according to the official news agency.

Regarding printing new cash denominations, Mounir stated that "the Central Bank is amending and updating currency notes in response to market requests and developments and limiting counterfeiting," noting that "the Department of Issuance and Treasurys is working to study the possibility of printing a cash denomination of 20,000 dinars, and in the coming days it will take the decision to print it or not printed    link

US Social Security Recipients would see an increase of at least $1,000, perhaps more, in their monthly checks beginning 1 April 2023.

Since Fri. 10 March, banks have been using the new Unified Payment Interface (UPI) on the Quantum Financial System (QFS) for foreign currency swaps.

By Mon. 20 March – the first day of Spring – the Global Currency Reset of 66 nations began after the Iraqi Dinar revalued in-country and started trading on the Forex. (According to Bruce,“Iraqi citizens have been exchanging in country at a decent rate just under seven and that’s the in-country rate for Iraqi Dinar.”)

By Wed. 22 March currencies of over 200 countries and 11,000 institutions had completed their digital integration of bank accounts from the Global Central Banking System to the Quantum Financial System (GFS) ran through #ISO20022 and the new StarLink Satellite System.

By Thurs. 23 March thoseover 200 countries and 11,000 institutions had completely disconnected from the old Cabal SWIFT fiat monies CBDC System and switched over to the new gold/ asset-backed Quantum Financial System.

On Sat. 25 March the new rates of the Global Currency Reset were agreed upon by all nations involved and set into the system.

The fractional fiat money system went down on Wed. 1 Feb.

“Operation Sandman” was complete – a collaboration of 100+ nations’ global agreement to simultaneously sell off their US Treasury holdings, sending them back to the US to collapse the US Dollar and end the dominance of the Petrodollar.

The Federal Reserve was technically bankrupt.

Over the past two weeks, the large Trust Accounts R, SG, DODT and MMT have been funded in preparation for the Global Currency Reset.

This new digital program will enable them to fulfill obligations to the World Bank and surrounding countries on agreed upon proposed services.

These automated payments require rates to be processed between two countries utilizing smart contracts to ensure funding is there on both sides of a trade.

Truly, this is a monumental achievement for Iraq and for all of us around the world who are participating in this global event.

MZ: We are getting a tremendous amount of chatter –surprisingly from Iraq. They seem to be on a expedited time scale.

MZ: What I am hearing is to watch between the 1st and the 3rd right now. We are still trying to “vet” some things.

MZ: I have been reached out to by some other folks with contacts in Iraq and the region….and it is getting interesting.

MZ: There is a lot of chatter on bonds and currency swaps. I still want to “vet” them before I bring them to you. I just want you to know that the chatter is crazy right now and very positive.

MZ: Nader posted a new video with a couple key nuggets in there. He is talking about payments to Retirees in Iraq. They roughly pay them 2 million 800 dinar a month…..or by my math about $1800 US.. They are talking over there about a 30% increase for them. I think this is important as it would put them at about $2350 or 2400 a month in USD. In their economy this is a considerable sum

MZ: Why am I mentioning it? They appear to be willing to spend the money that doesn’t appear to be there yet without a change in value. So I think that is pretty important.

MZ: This is the death of the petrodollar and the death of the central banks. You are watching it live…..not Memorex….lol. It’s playing out right in front of your eyes. BRICS is moving to an asset backed basket.

Henig:  U.S. Senate Votes to Revoke Iraq War Mandate

The U.S. Senate has voted overwhelmingly to push through legislation to repeal two decades-old authorizations for two wars in Iraq as Congress seeks to reaffirm its role in deciding to send troops into combat.

The vote ended with 65 to 28, more than the sixty needed in the hundred-member Senate, paving the way for a vote to pass it later this week. All the disapproving votes were members of the Republican Party.

Members of Congress have said for years that Congress has ceded much power to presidents of both parties to send troops into combat by issuing authorizations to wage open wars and then failing to abolish them. Presidents have used these mandates for years to justify military action around the world, they said.

Under the Constitution, Congress, not the president, has the right to declare war.

Proponents of the current bill describe the 1991 and 2002 authorizations for the use of military force against Iraq as dead. They say it is outdated and inappropriate because the wars are long gone and Iraq has become a partner of the United States.

This month marked the 2003th anniversary of the <> Iraq war.

Democratic Senator Bob Menendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said before the vote: "Repealing these authorizations will show the region and the world that the United States is not an occupying power, that the Iraq war is over, that we are moving forward and working with Iraq as a strategic partner."   LINK

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, and the Saudi Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman, affirmed the continuation of mutual cooperation in various fields and economic and investment sectors.

And the media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received this evening, Monday, a phone call from the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and witnessed the call. Exchanging congratulations on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, and praying to God Almighty to return it to the two countries and the Arab and Islamic nation with abundance of goodness and prosperity. 

He added, "During the call, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop them, and discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, as well as an emphasis on continuing mutual cooperation, in various fields and economic and investment sectors, within the framework of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, in a way that contributes to Raising the level of relations, achieving the interests of the peoples of the two countries and their aspirations for more stability and development.
