Where does all the money go when the money supply declines?
This is a question that has been on many people's minds recently, simply because the money supply does not normally contract.
Historically speaking, we can go back as far as 150 years. We can see that very rarely does the growth rate of money dip below 0%. Meaning, the money supply is growing and only a few times in the last 150 years has the total amount of money in the system shrunk.
So, one, how does this happen? And number two, where does that money go when it disappears from the system when the total amount of money shrinks?

Even Credit Unions are liquidating. The bottom line is these banks have to be Basel 3 compliant by March the 20th.
If Banks are not compliant, many more will begin to fail. Basel 4 is here.
We will see banking regulators step in to take charge in transitioning Banks to the new digital asset based monetary system, or they will be consolidating with a bigger Bank.
Once this process is over, we will be able to move into and implement a Gold Standard. Stay watchful my friends. It is a Gold Standard that will allow us to go in with higher values on our currency.

MZ: Lets get to it……”Sudanese government approves the largest budget in Iraq history” He’s talking about the committee approving it and sending it to parliament ….They are flush with cash and have more money coming in that going out. Based on the current value of the dinar…they have a deficit.
MZ: But what happens if they get a value change on the dinar??? Then suddenly they do not have a deficit anymore. To me this is very interesting news. To me its very clear that before this budget takes affect….possibly by April 1st…that they need a new rate…..but, I am hearing they plan to approve this before then .
MZ: My finance contact over in Iraq feels very confident that there will be a rate change before the budget takes affect. So there will not be a deficit but a surplus.

{Local: Al-Furat News} The Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani, predicted the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan, for the Hijri year 1444-2023 AD.
According to the holy month of Ramadan, published today by the Office of the Supreme Reference, "the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan is expected to be on the evening of Wednesday, March 22."
He pointed out that "the crescent is expected to be seen with the naked eye at this date."
Imam Sistani's office also predicted that "the month of Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr) will be on the evening of Friday, April 21, and it is expected to see a very clear height and is not expected to be seen in the evening of the previous day."

CandyKisses: NATO plans to launch new projects in Iraq, including its support in the field of cybersecurity
Shafaq News / Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed today, Tuesday, with the commander of the NATO mission in Iraq, Lieutenant General Giovanni Ianucci, the launch of a number of new projects in the country, including his support in the field of cybersecurity.
This came during Hussein’s meeting of Lieutenance Ianucci, according to a statement from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
The statement stated that during the meeting, the tasks carried out by the NATO mission in Iraq were reviewed, which are training the Iraqi security forces and providing military advice in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the National Security Adviser, as well as the start of new projects, including supporting Iraq in the field of cybersecurity.
The importance of the minister’s upcoming visit to Brussels this month, and his meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stotlberg, was also discussed, according to the statement.
For his part, Lieutenant General Ianucci expressed his happiness with the fruitful cooperation between the concerned Iraqi authorities and the NATO mission in Iraq in facilitating the mission's tasks to achieve its desired goals, noting the importance of the security and stability of Iraq for the region and NATO.
He stressed the alliance's desire to consolidate relations with Iraq in the next stage at the political level, and not to be limited to the military and security level.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, arrives in the city of Erbil on a visit to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, accompanied by a government delegation.
Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, arrived with a government delegation to Erbil Governorate.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a brief statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani arrived in the city of Erbil on a visit to the Kurdistan region of Iraq, accompanied by a government delegation."
Earlier in the day, the Kurdistan Regional Government announced the date of Al-Sudani's arrival in Erbil.
The media office of the head of the regional government stated, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, receives, at one thirty in the afternoon, the Federal Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, in an official reception ceremony at Erbil International Airport."
According to Kurdish media, the Prime Minister arrives today in the city of Erbil, to meet with President Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, arrived today, Tuesday afternoon, in the city of Erbil, on a visit to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, accompanied by a government delegation.
Shafaq News agency reporter said that the prime minister of the region, in addition to a number of Kurdish ministers and officials, received Al-Sudani and the government delegation accompanying him at Erbil International Airport.
He added that Al-Sudani will hold meetings with officials in the region to discuss differences and outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil.
It is scheduled that Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, will receive Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Sudanese, later this afternoon.
Yesterday, Monday, Al-Sudani announced that an agreement had been reached to end the dispute between Baghdad and Erbil over the Kurdistan Region's oil revenues.
"An agreement was reached to solve the problems between the center and the region regarding oil and gas by putting the revenues from the region's oil in a bank," Al-Sudani said during a press conference held today after the cabinet session, which was attended by Shafaq News agency.
He added, "For the first time, we reached an agreement that the region's oil revenues be deposited in one account and authorize the region's prime minister and the federal prime minister to monitor the account, and there will be a committee that will submit its recommendations to the federal prime minister to take the appropriate decision."
The oil export and revenue file in the Kurdistan Region is one of the most prominent points of contention between Baghdad and Erbil, and it was usually used as a card for political escalation when relations between the center and the region soured.
The dispute over this file escalated after the Federal Supreme Court (the highest judicial authority in Iraq) issued on February 15, 2022 a ruling that the oil and gas law in the Kurdistan Regional Government was unconstitutional.
The Federal Court obligated the Kurdistan Regional Government to hand over oil imports to Baghdad, which sparked angry reactions from the region during a period that was essentially serious political tension, as the ruling was issued in conjunction with the height of the political impasse that followed the early elections in October 2021.

MZ: Yes. 30 banks halted from trading today. It’s been a rough run for the banks today.
MZ: “Trading halted at 30 banks as market opens-NYSE halts trading at Charles Swab” I want you to think about this. They basically told people they could not sell it…..and that is how they propped the market up today.
MZ: Here is an interesting one from London: “HSBC swoops in to rescue UK arm of Silicon Valley Bank” for one British pound. They paid one pound for the UK arm of SVB. But now they have to provide liquidity to keep them afloat.
MZ: Been quiet on the RV news today. MilitiaMan has some news to share with us tonight.
MZ: Hello MilitiaMan. And if you want to know where to find him….all the links are posted below …Take it away. Any good news for us?
MilitiaMan: Hi Mark – thanks for having me. There is always some good news out there. One of the things that caught my eyes is a recent visit from the Ayatollah Al Sistani. He had a few words to say about the Iraqi currency. He was basically reassuring the citizens that they ccan now trade it and sell around the world with other currencies. Its funny that he refers to us as “infidels”
I know there are people with contracts that do business with the country of Iraq and are excited.
MZ: I have contractors over there that work building infrastructure and they are excited.
Militiaman: They should be….if they received a partial payment- hopefully their final payments will be competitive to what we would expect in the international world. Some of the contracts I know have a 30 day timeline and some have a 7 day timeline. I know of one with a 30 day timeline that ends about Mar 20th…a week from today. So we will see how that works.
Member: Sure is a lot of things happening around the 20th.
MZ: I have one contractor who got a partial payment on a 7 day contract.
Militiaman : The one I know got a partial payout as well. With expectation of the final payment on the 20th of March.
MZ: To me this is huge. The partial payment was NOT at the current rate of the dinar. I am confident that the numers are changing and they know what they are.
MilitiaMan: I believe that too …and they are de-dollarizing…..ending using the dollar …they are quitting multi currency practises and will only use the dinar . They have been talking about that for weeks. They were again talking about that today.
On Mar 6th they sent out messages to their citizens reminding them that their currency is going to be stronger. What they mean by “stronger” is still to be determined , and they are talking about releasing the lower notes that will mirror the denominations of other countries …and you would need a stronger dinar to warrant that. That’s a big thing.
MZ: So what do you think timing wise? We know we are getting close…we can see it.
Militiaman: As far as timelines are concerned ….we have al Sudani talking about the budget constantly…He is in the Kurdistan region today and tomorrow talking about the budget and the “oil and gas law” with the Kurds. And then he will be coming to the United States. If he is coming to the US …imo he is bringing something with him to free up a lot of money like $115 billion dollars in a development fund for oil…there will be negotiations. .I believe they will be here sometime this week it sounds like .
Militiaman : Lets see if he shows up with an exchange rate prior to that. They have approved the budget. They say there is going to be amendments to the budget….they say this is the first time they have had a budget like this. My view is it will be quick.
MZ: I’m with you on that. I think he is doing a whirlwind tour and getting ready for the release.
MilitiaMan: The way they do things with negotiations it is like a game to them…they want to win…that’s their goal…that’s their culture….All this back and forth with the Kurds and Baghdad …I think are coming to an end.
Iraq is setting the stage to come back to where she was in times past where Iraq played a pivotal role as a mediator. We saw this last week with Saudi Arabia and Iran. And today they brokered an agreement with China. And this is ahead of Sudani coming to the US. This is a fascinating thing for me to see a regional reconciliation. Having a reconciliation with all these countries is what we have been looking for since 2010. We needed to have everybody on board.
Now that they have all the electronic systems in place and clearing platforms like BUNA,AYUSCUDA (Taxes and borders) Iso 202022, all of these things are happening at the same time with interconnectivity and communication …I think things are rock solid . I think this system is close to being ready to go.
Now that Alaq is back for a stint at the CBI- I think we can see we are at the last stage of the game.
MZ: I think you are dead on …And Sudani would not have been doing this “whirlwind tour” if he didn’t have money coming …When you are ready to make the deal….and move the money is when you dot the I’s and cross the t’s. That is what he is doing. To me its clear they are ready .
MilitiaMan I think you are exactly right. Others I know said this same thing. This is about dotting I’s and crossing t’s. and we all know so much happening with banking all over the world …
MZ: And this is a great time with countries floundering and banks floundering and have a real need for liquidity….. for revaluing the Iraqi dinar and letting it go. A lot of countries issues would be solved by allowing Iraq to move forward with a rate of at least $1.50…but I keep hearing …like Sudano said…they are going to return the dinar to its former glory which is over $3 something.
MZ: Many ask me if you want to make a guess of what you think rates might be.
MilitiaMan: My understanding is the IMF have the ability to go as high as 3 times the Special Drawing Rights . That is what they could do…it doesn’t mean that’s what they will do. They test systems to what the region can handle. The Real Effective Exchange rate (REER) can be derived from many different things . They are going to come up with a rate that is strong and stable and rebuild the country.
MZ: My conractors think the bare minimum is coming out at that $1.50 range. We will see.

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, announced, on Monday, that an agreement had been reached to end the dispute between Baghdad and Erbil over Kurdistan Region's oil revenues.
"An agreement was reached to solve the problems between the center and the region regarding oil and gas by putting the revenues from the region's oil in a bank," Al-Sudani said during a press conference held today after the cabinet session, which was attended by Shafaq News agency.
He added, "For the first time, we reached an agreement that the region's oil revenues be deposited in one account and authorize the region's prime minister and the federal prime minister to monitor the account, and there will be a committee that will submit its recommendations to the federal prime minister to take the appropriate decision." The deputy in the Iraqi parliament from Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Bajyar Rashid, revealed today, Monday, the details of the state's general federal budget for the three years approved by the Council of Ministers, describing it as the largest budget in Iraq's history.
Rashid told Shafaq News agency, "The Iraqi Council of Ministers agreed on a draft budget law for the fiscal years 2023, 2024, and 2025, indicating that the Iraqi budget draft law is the largest in the history of the Iraqi state in 20 years, amounting to 200 trillion dinars, the total budget, and it will reach Parliament shortly."
He stressed that the region's budget will be 25 trillion dinars, and this budget can be used for planning and work in a very large way.

Well, the CDS for Credit Suisse Bank went parabolic today as investors bet that CS is going belly up.
The selling pressure on Credit Suisse shares returned thanks to the collapse of SVB, sparking a crisis of confidence throughout the banking industry in the Western world. As a result, the Zurich-based lender's five-year credit default swaps jumped to a record high of 448 basis points, data compiled by Bloomberg show.

What about the Default Insurance (CDS) Prices of other Big Banks?
As I reported last Friday, keep an eye on Bank of America (pink line) and Deutsche Bank (red line).
This is what we call a hyperbolic path rapidly accelerating into the NOT GOOD zone.
Notably absent from the CDS spread-widening volatility (reported above) today are Wells Fargo and JPM-Chase banks.
I expect JPM to benefit dramatically from the current volatility via increased deposit transfers from other banks and they may go on a buying spree, purchasing smaller, competitive banks for pennies on the dollar.
Case and point - HSBC bank just purchased SVB Bank’s UK operations for one British Pound… Yep! 1.00£
