Cian Planning reveals {for Euphrates News} the date of announcing the rate of inflation in Iraq for January 2021
Time: 02/28/2021 18:55:02 Read: 3,835 times {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Planning revealed, on Sunday, the date of announcing the rate of inflation in Iraq for the month of January 2021.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, told Al-Furat News that "during the next week, the ministry's report on the level of inflation in Iraq for the month of January of this year will be issued."
He added, "The comprehensive ban imposed due to the Corona pandemic has a negative impact on daily trading in the local currency market and even on the sale of dollars by the official window of the Central Bank of Iraq."
"But it is compensated on the days when the ban is lifted, and the authorities concerned with this matter have a clearer picture of daily trading," Al-Hindawi said.
He continued, "More than 3 months have passed since the currency change, and inflation rates witnessed a rise in the last month of last year by 3.3%, affected by the increase in the prices of all materials, on top of them {cigarettes}, which rose to 10%."
Al-Hindawi concluded, "As the housing sector rose by 3%, affected by the rise in the prices of private generators, the level of inflation for recreation and health increased by 7%, affected by the rise in the exchange rate."
On January 24, 2021, the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning released its qualitative report for the consumer price index for the month of December 2020, which is the first report issued by the agency after changing the exchange rate.
The report showed, according to the ministry's statement, an increase in inflation indicators for the month of December by (3.3%), compared to the previous month of November, while the annual inflation rate increased compared to the month of December 2019 by (3.2%) affected by the change of the dollar exchange rate.
The prices of the tobacco section increased by (10.1%) due to the increase in the prices of imported cigarettes, the health department also recorded an increase in its prices, which reached (8.8%), and the prices of the entertainment section increased by (7.5%) due to the increase in the prices of reception equipment and pictures such as televisions, cameras and computers.
And the Transportation Department recorded an increase of 7.2%, due to the increase in car prices, especially private cars.
According to the planning statement, a rise in the prices of bicycles and spare parts, such as tires and batteries, also recorded a rise in the prices of the goods and services section by (4.9%), as a result of the rise in gold prices throughout Iraq, and the prices of the household equipment, equipment and maintenance section recorded an increase of (3.7%) Due to the high prices of home appliances and furniture sets.
As for the housing section prices, they increased by (3.2%), as a result of the increase in the prices of the water and electricity supply group. Wafa Al-Fatlawi

Shafaq News/ Ministry of Oil announced the February import and export figures as per the preliminary statistics issued by the State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO).
Figures show that crude oil exports reach 82,877,757 barrels with revenues touching 5,026,807 dollars.
Exported crude quantities in February from central and southern Iraqi fields reached 79,105,329 barrels, whereas quantities exported from Kirkuk fields through Ceyhan Port reached 3,772,428 barrels.
Daily exports averaged 2,960,000 barrels at a mean of 60.330 dollars per barrel.

Shafaq News/ Trading volume in Iraq's stock market surpassed 3.33billion equities valued at more than 1.8billion dinars in its first sessions this week.
A report of the market obtained by Shafaq News agency said, "36 publicly traded companies cast out today of 103 enlisted companies," indicating, "equities of 20 companies went up, while only seven went down."
"3,335,907,000 equities were traded today at a value of 1,888,000 dinars in 886 deals. ISX60 index ended up at 536.67, yielding 1.3% from the last session's close," the report added.
Al-Ataa Islamic Bank, followed by Al-Maadiniya, were the top boosts to the index, notching a 13.3% and 9.73% gain, respectively. In comparison, Baghdad Hotel and Asiacell benchmarks index slid as much as -2.41% and -0.86%, respectively.
It is noteworthy that Iraq Stock Exchange installed Central Depository and Electronic Trading Systems in 2009 and currently bolstering efforts to deploy online transaction services. It organizes five weekly sessions and lists 104 public companies from different economic sectors.

MP of al-Fatah, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, said in an interview with Shafaq News agency, "meetings and negotiations are still ongoing between the political blocs and the Kurdish delegation to settle the share of the Kurdistan Region in the General Budget Law for 2021."
He added, "Intensive meetings will take place next Tuesday to settle the share of the Kurdistan Region in the budget law."
Last December, Baghdad, and Erbil reached an agreement on the financial budget, stipulating that the region should hand over 250 thousand barrels of oil per day, and half of the border crossings revenues (and other non-oil revenues) to the federal government, in exchange for a share in the budget of 12.6%.
