Al-Halbousi Confirms That The New Government Will Be Formed Soon

Baghdad / Mawrid Nabuz     Today, Tuesday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi confirmed that the new government will be formed soon, while noting that the Parliament is proceeding with the legislation of the emergency security law .

Al-Halbousi said, in his speech, during the central celebration of the 41st anniversary of the founding of the Badr Organization, that "the Badr Organization had its roots for more than 40 years and contributed to changing the dictatorial regime and offered martyrs and sacrifices ."

He added that "the House of Representatives is proceeding to legislate the emergency security law," stressing that "the new government will be formed soon ."

Al-Halbousi stressed "the necessity of striving to strengthen the pillars of the state," pointing out "the importance of solving all current problems through understanding ."

Moves To Settle Differences And An Expected Date For The Parliament Session

With Its Global Decline, Gold Prices Fell In The Iraqi Markets

Shafaq News/ "Foreign and Iraqi" gold prices decreased in the local markets today, Tuesday (April 19, 2022) in conjunction with the decline in the prices of the yellow metal globally.

Shafak News Agency reporter said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one weight of 21 karat of Gulf, Turkish and European gold 406 thousand dinars, and the purchase price 402 thousand, while the selling prices yesterday morning were 409 thousand. Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one 21-carat weight of Iraqi gold also decreased at 360 thousand dinars, while the purchase price reached 362,000.

With regard to gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold weight ranged between 410 thousand and 420 thousand dinars, while the selling price ranged between 370 thousand and 380 thousand Iraqi dinars.

Legal For “Earth News”: The Articles Of The Constitution Take Precedence And May Not Be Violated

04/19/2022   Earth News/ Legal expert Faisal Rikan affirmed today, Tuesday, that the articles of the constitution acquire superiority and therefore it is not permissible to violate them.

Rikan told "Earth News" that "the constitutional timings are stipulated in the articles of the Iraqi constitution, and thus they acquire the supremacy in terms of principle and other laws based on the text of Article 13 of the constitution itself, which stipulates that this constitution enjoys primacy over all laws, and therefore it is not permissible to violate it and legislate any law or take any decision contrary to its provisions.

He added, "Since these timings are part of these constitutional articles, failure to comply with them first will make the necessary periods to complete the requirements to be followed long-term and disrupt the due entitlements in order to implement the constitutional programs that must be adhered to, and it is not permissible to skip these timings."

He continued, "In such matters, it is required to refer to the Federal Court, as it has the authority to interpret constitutional articles and monitor the implementation of the constitution based on the provisions of Article 93, as well as the court's decisions are final and conclusive based on the provisions of Article 94 of the Constitution as well.   LINK

Al-Amiri Warns Of “Enemy Schemes” And Stresses The Need To End The Political Impasse

Al-Amiri said in his speech during the central celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of the Badr Organization, that "ISIS is targeting Iraq's past and future," noting that "Iraq has defeated terrorism thanks to the supreme authority."

He added, "Iraq is going through exceptional circumstances from which it is imperative to get out with realistic solutions," stressing "the need to end the political impasse."
