Tishwash: Fiscal Committee: The White Reform Paper Arrives in Parliament
The reform paper (the white paper) announced by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, arrived in Parliament today, Tuesday.
Last June, Al-Kazemi announced that his government had prepared a reform paper that included expected financial reforms.
Parliament resumes its session tomorrow, Wednesday
Tishwash: The Parliament Media Department announced that the House of Representatives will resume its session tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 noon.
Last Saturday, Parliament held a session that was devoted only to the electoral districts in the election law, resolving some of its clauses and postponing others to complete the discussion on what made its sessions open without raising them. link

Tishwash: Al- Sudani reveals new details about the meeting of the "reform paper" and talks about its inclusion of "painful decisions
Today, Tuesday (October 13, 2020), independent MP Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani considered the reform paper presented by the government as a "road map" despite the presence of "painful" decisions in it.
Al-Sudani said in his speech to (Baghdad Today), "Yesterday's meeting included a presentation of the reform paper that was recently approved by the Council of Ministers, as it was presented at the level of presidencies and political blocs in Parliament."
He added, "The paper received a preliminary discussion and this step is acceptable because we are talking about comprehensive reform, which requires the presence of a parliamentary political incubator in support of this reform," stressing that "Parliament will deal with this paper and its benefits."
Al-Sudani added, "The problem is in implementing these plans and strategies that were presented in the reform paper, so it is not possible to delay any reform paragraph."
He stressed, "Reforms begin first with reducing spending so that we can run the wheel of the state."
Yesterday, Monday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi held a meeting with the political blocs and the Speaker of Parliament, to present the reform paper prepared by the Finance Ministry, before submitting it to Parliament link

Sheila Lot's of articles about White Papers. Good sign. Don't know exactly what they contain. White Paper is big indicator for economic reforms. Budget figures within. Big question is if the budget figures are in billions or trillions. Billions - new rate. Trillions - program rate. No access to content. Just know that White Papers mean good business is about to happen...World will know very soon what they contain. When it goes to Parliament, if White Papers are not released, they certainly will be leaked.
