Tishwash: Britain invites Iraq to London arms fair
The British Department of International Trade invited Iraq to attend the largest arms exhibition called (DSEI), an acronym for Defense Equipment and International Security, which is held every two years in London.
A report by the British Guardian newspaper stated that delegates will mingle with more than 800 exhibitors, including 90 percent of the world's 10 largest arms manufacturers, during a four-day international event taking place despite the global Corona virus pandemic. link

Tishwash: Qatar Development: New business partnerships in the Iraqi market
Qatar Development Bank successfully concluded the commercial coordination meetings between Qatari exporting companies and Iraqi buyers and importers, which were held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, between the seventh and eighth of this September, in a bilateral economic initiative that is the first of its kind with the Iraqi market.
These meetings come after the holding of the "Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership" at the end of last month, in which His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, along with a number of Arab leaders and presidents and relevant international bodies, participated, and is a practical embodiment as well to reactivate economic cooperation between the Republic of Iraq. He also stressed in his speech the importance of holding such coordination meetings between the various sectors between the two countries to enhance cooperation. and increase trade exchange.
In the opening speech of the Qatar Development Bank, Mr. Hamad Salem Mujiger pointed to the importance of the Iraqi market and the need to invest the enormous opportunities it possesses through coordination meetings or other cooperative trade platforms, and, in his talk about trade relations between the two countries, stressed the prospects for meaningful cooperation and the need to identify sustainable development opportunities. Through economic and commercial cooperation to serve the two brotherly countries.
As for the participating companies from both sides, 18 Qatari exporting companies participated in more than 150 coordination meetings with 200 Iraqi companies, and the initial contracts between the two parties resulted in the signing of initial contracts worth 36 million Qatari riyals.
The industrial sectors covered by the meetings ranged from various sectors such as construction materials, plastics, medical, pharmaceuticals, paper products and many other sectors of interest to both countries.
The owners of Qatari companies expressed their happiness to participate in these coordination meetings, thanking the mechanism of its management and organization, and their aspiration to expand their work horizons in the Iraqi market in the near future.
It is noteworthy that these meetings are the result of a year-long cooperation between Qatar Development Bank and the Independent Research Group to study the Iraqi market and identify the best courses of future work in it. 2020.
