He added, "The new food security law was presented by the Parliamentary Finance Committee as a draft law and will be read first by the House of Representatives, voted on and transferred for implementation by the government," noting that "the draft law concerns the citizen and the social welfare segment, the disbursement of farmers' rights, and allocating an amount to the Ministry of Electricity to pay off debts and import gas.

He continued, "There are other paragraphs that affect food security, and without these paragraphs, if laws are not enacted that pertain to the Iraqi citizen and address issues of electricity, agricultural development and social welfare, life will be disrupted, and as a result the citizen wants a lot of legitimacy from Parliament."   link

 Al-Jubouri monitored some of these effects, saying: "The repercussions may include farmers with regard to wheat and barley crops and the electric power sector, especially the file of gas import and its debts amounting to one billion and 600 million dollars to neighboring Iran. There are pledges to pay in this regard and cancellation will cause the prevention of its implementation."

 Regarding the groups affected by this decision, Al- Kazemi’s advisor confirmed that the owners of “social welfare salaries, the owners of the food ration, the unemployed and the electricity sector will be among the biggest affected.”

 Regarding the electricity file and its impact on the court’s decision, Al-Jubouri said: “The Minister of Electricity informed us that 8000 megawatts of energy will be excluded because it is related to gas, which represents a third of the energy. Money on previous prices according to the 2021 budget, and now food prices have risen a lot, and the same amounts cannot be allocated.”

 And about what Al- Kazemi’s government will do to overcome the crisis, the Iraqi official explained that they have begun studying several options, “as of today, and we are trying to overcome the problem by taking legal and constitutional measures to achieve the interests of the Iraqi citizen.”
