Tishwash:  Politician: Postponing The Parliament Session To Next Wednesday Is An Attempt To Buy The Votes Of MPs

The political analyst, Saad Muhammad Al-Kaabi, said that the postponement of the parliament session to next Wednesday is an attempt to buy votes from MPs and other blocs with the aim of achieving the number required to pass the presidential candidate.

Al-Kaabi told Al-Maalouma, "The tripartite alliance offering temptations and agreeing to the terms of some parties and political blocs is an attempt to collect the largest possible number of votes to pass the presidential candidate supported by Barzani."

He added that "postponing the parliament session to next Wednesday, allows the tripartite alliance to open an auction on the other blocs and some independent representatives to obtain their votes to achieve the number required to pass their candidate for the presidential position."

Al-Kaabi explained, "The marginalization of the coordination framework and those allied with it will ignite a political war inside the country, in which the poor citizen will be affected, as the shedding will be present in all areas and one party will work against another, and therefore there will be absolutely no stability."  link

Mif:  Yep, it's always "going to happen", but still hasn't. There will be more meetings with no quorum, or elections that were disputed. Makes no sense to me.

Kaseyko1:  It was frustrating to not see the voting on the pres & pm, certainly; however, remember that Tish said it wasn't a total bust today. They actually did a good job in getting their finance committee seated & sworn in, since they can access the white papers & implement changes ASAP when in a position to do so! This is a positive thing to have seen them do.

Tishwash:  Al-Kazemi calls on the political forces to form a government that works as soon as possible to serve its people

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi called, today, Sunday, for political forces to form a government that works "as soon as possible" to serve its people, stressing the need for all work and integration to cross the "dangerous stage."

Al-Kazemi said in a speech during the conference held on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the legislation of the female survivors’ law, according to a statement received by Mawazine News, “I am honored to be among you today, a year after Parliament approved the Yazidi Survivors Law, with reference and praise to the role of the government, Parliament and the Presidency of the Republic, In this context, he added, "The crime committed against the Yazidi women will remain a major disgrace in the history of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, and all the obscurantist groups that claim to rule with outdated ideas, which is evidence of the danger of their abolitionist ideology."

Al-Kazemi stressed, "The need to work together to prevent a recurrence of what happened, and this is only possible through good governance, and for the government to look for opportunities to build development so that there is no foothold for these terrorist groups."

He stressed, "This crime was a challenge to the global humanitarian position, and not only in Iraq, as there was sympathy and global human interaction with the tragedy of this crime," adding: "We must salute those who followed this issue in local, regional and international forums, and were able to To turn it into a humanitarian issue that does not concern one group or another.”

He pointed out that "the government and its security services are continuing their operations against all those who participated in this crime," stressing "

He continued, "The aggressor will be punished," calling for "developing all efforts and working to accomplish the issue of the survivors, and the state needs additional legislation to protect the survivors and prevent a recurrence of what happened."

The Prime Minister called on "all political forces to work and form a government that works as quickly as possible to serve its people, including the Yazidi survivors," noting that "respect for constitutional timings is respect for the constitution, respect for the logic of the state, and respect for people's needs."

Al-Kazemi added, "We have to look for logical solutions that reflect the political maturity of everyone, and reflect a high degree of responsibility of the political forces regarding their duties by being in parliament or outside parliament."

He added, "We must all work and integrate to cross this dangerous stage," calling on "political forces to re-calculate their accounts to cross the stage."

Tishwash:  Iraq and three Gulf countries make up half of the fuel oil shipments destined for America

Data for the research company Kpler showed, on Sunday, that Iraq and three Gulf countries, whose exports constitute half of the shipments of fuel oil destined for America in the month of next April.

The company said in a statement seen by Shafak News Agency, that "American refineries began to seize shipments of fuel oil from the Middle East this month after US President Joe Biden banned Russian oil imports due to the invasion of Ukraine."

According to the data, last year Russia accounted for just under half of the US imports of fuel oil, Mexico 20%, and the Middle East about 5%.

The company indicated that "Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE account for about half of the shipments of fuel oil under contracts, and it is expected that they will head to the United States in April."

The data showed that "the shipments coming from the UAE and Kuwait scheduled to be unloaded in April will be the first in the past eight months, while March represents the first time that Iraqi fuel oil reaches the United States since mid-2021."

Last year, the United States imported about 700,000 barrels per day of various types of fuel oil and other feedstocks that mostly went to US Gulf Coast refineries to supplement heavy crude oil, according to market research data. ink
