And, "What is delaying the visit is the epidemiological situation due to the spread of the Corona virus in America, especially as it is on the rise, and this is why conducting the second round of strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington, perhaps through the closed-circuit television between Iraqi and ." Al-Kazemi had visited, last week, a visit to Iran, at the head of a high-level ministerial delegation, while his postponement, which was supposed to be the first visit to Saudi Arabia, was postponed after the health of the Saudi monarch, Salman .bin Abdulaziz link

Samson: Parliament: The government will not submit the 2020 budget for its preoccupation with reforms

The Parliamentary Finance Committee stated, on Wednesday, that the government started work on the reform program that is supposed to be presented to Parliament, by forming a committee of the three presidencies and all ministries, to form a council to review the entire economic file.
"The government may not submit the 2020 budget due to time constraints, and because it is now occupied by two overlapping major files: the 2021 budget and the reform program file," said Finance Committee member Jamal Cougar.
He added, "To achieve these two steps, the government is in the process of forming a committee from the candidates of the three authorities; the executive and the legislative branch with the judiciary, to present their visions in the interests of the reform and budget paragraphs." LINK
MilitiaMan: Well they surely will need the 2019 FML Amendment to do both. But, note they are speaking of the reform file. The entire economic reform file. Then that would mean to me they have to have a rate to associate the economic reform file to. They have the authorities at the highest levels being the executive, legislative and judiciary. On Sunday, Ikhlas Al-Dulaimi, a member of the parliamentary finance committee, confirmed that no general agreement had been reached on the draft federal budget law for 2027, despite it being presented during the State Administration Coalition meeting yesterday.
Al-Dulaimi told Shafaq News Agency that the draft budget needs some amendments, noting that there is currently no government agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as objections to the region’s share in the budget.

The Central Bank of Iraq has directed all licensed banks to implement updated scenarios for monitoring suspected cases of money laundering and terrorist financing, setting the end of December 2026 as the deadline for completing their activation on anti-money laundering (AML) systems.
The bank explained that the update is based on international standards, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations and Iraqi legislation, taking into account technological developments and financial products currently in use.
