Baghdad- Iraq today:  Activists on social media posted pictures of banners rejecting the candidacy of Judge Raed Juhi in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad. The banners, distributed in various places, in Tahrir Square, central Baghdad, included the words "Pioneer of The Gohi rejected by the people", against the backdrop of what informed sources revealed about his candidacy by the demonstrators, she said.

larrykn   Al-Fatah: The nomination of the Sudanese by virtue of the abolitionist after the objection of these two parties. That's what the President of the Republic is waiting for.

Baghdad:  Former Labor Minister Mohammed Shaya al-Sudani will not be accepted by some political blocs and the Iraqi street for being named head of the transitional government, according to a member of parliament from the Fatah alliance.

"The previous agreement stipulated that the political blocs would put forward a number of names nominated for the presidency of the prime minister, including the Sudanese, and the candidate who is approved by all, to present the president as a consensus candidate, but this failed as a result of the pressure of the street and the objection of some blocs," he  said.

"The consensus between the blocs has become difficult to make the choice of prime minister, forcing President Barham Saleh to address parliament to find out which bloc will be tasked with choosing a replacement for the outgoing prime minister, Adel Abdel Mahdi," he said.

larrykn   Report: Why are protest squares rejecting party candidates?

Baghdad- Iraq today: A report on Iraqi protests on Monday highlighted why protesters rejected the names circulating for the post of prime minister, and the secret of political blocs' insistence on nominating a figure from within the current class to head the government.

"Some names are frequented in the corridors of the political scene and social media sites in Iraq to fill the post of prime minister for the transitional period, replacing Adel Abdul Mahdi, as the constitutional deadline granted to President Barham Saleh approaches on Thursday," the report said.

One of the most prominent names nominated is Mohamed Chiaa al-Sudani, who has previously held several positions, most notably minister of labor, social affairs and human rights."

Although al-Sudani (born in Maysan province in southern Iraq in 1970) announced via Twitter that he had resigned from the Dawa Party and the State of Law Coalition led by former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to meet the requirement of independence, this was rejected by some political forces, including the current Al-Sadri is a protester who has held more than one ministerial portfolio in previous governments, and is required to be the new prime minister who has not participated in the political process since 2003 until now.

Independent, not resigned.

Protesters in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad launched the slogan "Independent, not resigned", referring to sudanese rejection, even if he resigned from his party on their own terms.

larrykn   "The rejection of the candidacy of the Sudanese by the protest and demonstration squares is one of the mistakes of the political parties that nominated him for the presidency, because they are aware in advance of the conditions of the protesters, namely that the candidate should be from outside the political class, even if he did not previously hold the post of minister, deputy or governor, in the sense that he did not "This is a political complex that will take matters into the constitutional vacuum and the conflict between the parties in control of the Iraqi scene, which calls for the intervention of the United Nations."

Constitutional term

"The Iraqi street has set conditions regarding the prime minister's personality and ministerial composition in terms of loyalty to the homeland, integrity, transparency, independence from political parties and blocs, and not being appointed to any executive or legislative position after 2003," said Dr. Khalid Abdul Ilah, a professor of political science at Baghdad University.

In addition to the requirement of Iraqi nationality only, these conditions were divided around the blocs and political parties, including those who supported them, such as the Bloc of Walkers, when they demanded the president of the republic to nominate a prime minister from the demonstrators, then the most numerous parliamentary bloc and the source of the authorities."

larrykn   "Some political blocs, including Fatah and the rule of law, went on to choose some conditions, i.e., to prefer the constitutional and legal text in the text of article (76) controversial in naming the prime minister, and this complicated the Iraqi political scene, especially since the constitutional term is mandated," abdel Ilah said.

The President of the Republic is at a crossroads between a popular vision wanted and supported by the demonstrators and another vision that requires political and constitutional consensus based on the text of article (76), noting that all political forces agree that the age of this government does not exceed 6-12 months, as well as not nominating it. For any elections, they should be mini-and with limited powers."

Integrity and professionalism

"The prime minister in charge must be known for his integrity, patriotism and professionalism in managing a complex file such as Iraq now, and be independent and civil, and not be dual national, otherwise any candidate by the ruling political blocs is now rejected by "We do not accept any candidate from within the political blocs, be it Sudanese or others."

"The President of the Republic must take into account the demands of the demonstrators in the process of selecting the next prime minister through the candidate's specifications announced through the protest squares to be independent, competent and professional, but the Sudanese has been publicly rejected," said journalist and civil activist Kamel Jabr.

"He is a former experimenter in the political process and has suspicions of corruption." http://iraqtoday.com/news/34627/تقرير-لماذا-ترفض-ساحات-الاحتجاج-مرشحي-الأحزاب

larrykn   A source close to Mr. Sistani reveals the position of the reference of any candidate for prime minister

Baghdad, Iraq today: A source close to the supreme religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, revealed in Najaf province that the reference has no reservation or acceptance of any candidate for prime minister. "The reference leaves the choice of the new prime minister of the blocs in accordance with constitutional and legal frameworks," the source said. "The authority has no reservation stake and acceptance of any candidate for the post," he added.

Informed political sources revealed that President Barham Saleh had received a list of candidates for prime minister.
