Goofus 8-21-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat ...the flood gates have opened and the news is pouring in. ...The parliamentary finance committee has decided that the CBI needs to move to the next step of the “project to delete the zeros” and put the Iraqi dinar on a “level playing field” with the rest of the middle east currencies.
Yesterday they came out with the announcement to re-mint the Iraq coins once again. They are saying they now need to put together legislation in which to give the CBI permission to do so...

If you claim to have never said it was fake news then obviously you agree that Iraq has said it will redenominate. The pigs have been refuelled and ready to fly.
I am not particularly interested in what gets said unless it is fact. Problem is that some want to make up fact and when challenged resort to personal attack and insults.

You have to bear in mind that the English text is a translation and cannot be taken word for word. One of the big problems is that many do not understand the difference between the monetary unit(Dinar) and the currency(IQD). Countries do not remove zeros from the currency, they are removed from the monetary unit.
In a redenomination the currency IQD would retain the zeros and a new currency introduced that did not have zeros. The old Turkish lira TRL still has zeros, it was the new currency TRY that had the zeros removed.
When reading articles care needs to be taken in respect of the context, are they referring to the monetary unit or the currency.

I have a question about the Dong if you have 1 million Dong as an example how is it extrapolated at 0.47 cent for example you would calculate 1 million times 0.47 cent
second question to you
how that is calculated with the iraque dinar if the 3 zeros are deleted then at 1 million dinars would be worth 1000 dollars if it is then revalued for example with 3 dollars then it would be worth about 3000 dollars
or do we get the full value with the iraque dinars we bought.
or what would be 250 000 thousand iraque dinars worth according to the RV
