Al-Hakim Warns Against The "Complexity" Of The Iraqi Scene And Calls For The "Strategic Construction" Document

Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The leader of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, warned today, Tuesday, of further complicating the Iraqi scene, while at the same time calling for the signing of the strategic building document for the country.

Al-Hakim’s statements came this morning, during the Eid al-Fitr prayer, “that things remain as they are and accept what is happening and wait for solutions from the outside, or continue the approach of intersection, dissonance and exchange represents an imminent danger that will have serious consequences for democracy and the principles of respect for the constitution and the law and the peaceful transfer of power and the path of nation-building and its institutions.

Al-Hakim pointed out that the process of political breaking does not serve a party, does not build a country, does not achieve a goal, and it would increase the existing complications.

He added that the country is witnessing a clear slowdown in the formation of a new political scene in line with the main purpose for which the elections were held, in addition to disrupting the people's desire to form a strong and coherent government.

Al-Hakim stressed that "the political situation in the country, under sensitive circumstances, needs a realistic and rapid review and treatment that will move us from a state of blockage to détente, from stagnation to movement, and from intersection to understanding, and all of this is possible and available if the moral atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr is invested."

Al-Hakim called again for "the formation of a government emanating from the largest bloc formed by the largest component in the country in order to produce a stable political equation that provides a balanced and reassuring environment for a strong government that can achieve the desires of our people for a free and dignified life."

On the other hand, he called on all political forces to issue a (strategic building document for the country) and to involve governmental and civil institutions in drafting this document.  LINK

High Compliance With OPEC, Iraq Increases Production

2022-05-03 05:59   Shafaq News/ A Reuters survey concluded that the increase in OPEC oil production in April was less than the rise planned under an agreement with allies, as declines in Libya and Nigeria compensated for increases in supplies by Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

The survey found that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) pumped 28.58 million barrels per day in April, an increase of 40,000 barrels per day from the previous month and less than the 254,000 barrels per day stipulated in the supply agreement.

Production is below the increases pledged from October to March, with the exception of February, when many producers lack the ability to pump more crude after insufficient investment, a trend accelerated by the pandemic.

The biggest drop in production was in Libya, which sometime in April lost more than 550,000 barrels per day from closures on fields and stations, and Nigerian production recorded a drop of 40,000 barrels per day with exports lower than in March.

These outages limited the increase in OPEC production as major producers followed an increase in their supply pledge, and the survey found that the largest increase in April of 100,000 barrels per day came from Saudi Arabia, followed by Iraq, where the monthly increase in production was 80 thousand barrels per day.

The United Arab Emirates followed the higher share and increased by 40 thousand barrels per day, while Kuwait's production increased by ten thousand barrels per day.

The survey found that Iran, which is also exempt from making production cuts, was shipping more to China in 2022 and production rose in April, even as talks on reviving the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers failed to reach an agreement.

The survey found that production decreased or did not increase in Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, due to a lack of ability to produce more.

The agreement called for an increase of 400,000 barrels per day in April from all OPEC + members, of which about 254 thousand barrels per day is shared by the 10 OPEC producers covered by the agreement.

As a result, the 10 OPEC members are pumping far less than the deal called for.   LINK

The Difference Between Production And Iraq's Share According To OPEC Decreased In April By More Than 70% Compared To March

2022-05-03   Yes Iraq: Baghdad   Iraq managed to reduce the difference between its scheduled quota from OPEC + and its production last April, after it was late by about 60,000 barrels from its quota last March.

According to a Reuters report, the compliance of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) with the cuts pledged last April amounted to 164%, compared to 151% in March, while the increase in OPEC production was less than the planned increase due to the decrease in production in Libya and Nigeria.

According to a survey conducted by "Reuters", the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC" pumped 28.58 million barrels per day in April, an increase of 40 thousand barrels per day from the previous month, and less than the 254 thousand barrels per day stipulated in the supply agreement.

According to Reuters surveys, production is less than the increases pledged from October to March, as many producers lack the ability to pump more crude due to a lack of investment, a trend exacerbated by the pandemic.

These interruptions limited the impact of the “OPEC” production increase, as major producers fulfilled their commitments to increase supplies. The survey found that the largest increase in April amounted to one hundred thousand barrels per day and came from Saudi Arabia.

And Iraq, which announced a monthly increase in its exports, boosted its production by 80,000 barrels per day. The UAE committed to increasing its share, adding 40,000 barrels per day, while Kuwait's production increased by 10,000 barrels per day.

While Iraq added 80,000 barrels per day to its production in March, this means that it produced 4.397 million barrels per day, which is less than its quota in April by 17,000 barrels per day, as its quota in April is 4.414 million barrels per day.

In March, its production quota was 4.370 million barrels per day, of which only 4.309 million barrels were produced, a difference of 60,000 barrels per day.

While the difference was around 60,000 barrels per day last month, in April it became 17,000 barrels per day, which means that it has shrunk by more than 70%.   LINK
