Samson: Al-Sadr: We will work to raise the level of the Iraqi dinar

The Leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, pledged on Monday to end the use of weapons outside the framework of the state and improve the economic, health and educational situation, while stressing that the Sadrist bloc is the largest bloc to form the government.
Al-Sadr said in a televised speech, which was followed by "Mawazine News", that "all embassies are welcome unless they interfere in Iraqi affairs and form the government," explaining that "any intervention will have a diplomatic response or perhaps a popular response befitting the crime, because Iraq is for Iraqis only."
Al-Sadr added, "We will not allow interference at all, and from now on, weapons must be confined to the hands of the state, and it is forbidden to use them outside this framework, even those who claim resistance."
Al-Sadr continued, "It is time for the people to live in safety without occupation and militias kidnapping and detracting from the prestige of the state. Iraq is the Iraq of reference, wise men and dignitaries, and we will follow their advice." Al-Sadr indicated that "from now on, the government and parties will not have control over money and goods, but rather it is for the people, and every corrupt person will be held accountable, whoever he is, and that the people's oil is for the people."
And he pledged, "We will work to raise the Iraqi dinar to be in the ranks of global currencies gradually," pointing out that "age, industry, trade, education and health will have a great effort, and there is no difference between one governorate and another except to the extent of the need and its population census."
Al-Sadr indicated that "the infidel Ba'ath was removed with the blood of the Iraqis, and we will remove corruption with our blood, and the people will be dignified at home and abroad, and they will be watching over us." Al-Sadr concluded, "The people should celebrate the largest bloc without armed manifestations and without disturbing others." LINK

I am not sure what his definition of gradual is but, Article 8 is fully international, therefore, at the starting gate there needs to be a beginning. Going international at 1460 imo is not in the cards. Sadr is not the financial expert in charge of changing the exchange rate. The CBI is and will be. imo. Regardless, change is coming.. imo ~ MM

KMan: Just wondering, but if Sadr's block won the election, does he defer to Al-Kazemi to become the prime minister? Anyone know?
Fuze: KMAN Sadr has chosen Kazimi as his top pick for PM. But he has 3 other names as back up who are agreeable to the international PTB. However, keep in mind. They have a Parliamentary Democracy not a Republic. He still has to partner with other blocks to reach a 166 votes to have the Majority vote to form the GOI, which means horse trading..
KMan: I would think TPTB in the US might have a say in who Sadr picks. Just hope it doesn't take them months to get a government together, or will that be the CBI's next excuse?

RVAlready: I doubt the RV will be affected. The RV is in the hands of the CBI. The RV should be done by a month from now. Independent of the election, etc, etc….They do not need a new government to do the RV
Fuze: Now the reformers have the majority, pretty confident the CBI is comfortable with stability so is the UST...we should be under way.
RVAlready: the IMF is pushing the CBI to get this done already.

Fuze: Exactly rvalready!!! The current GOI will remain fully empowered and operable until the new GOI is sworn in...and now the elections have been decided, likely 70 to 100% of the current GOI will remain in place.
RVAlready: Hopefully, they have gotten rid of the financial corruption sufficiently, with the new laws they passed
Fuze: Exactly again rvalready starting in a big way with the implementation October 17th!!!
RVAlready: It looks better to me now, than any time in the past. Iraq has laws in place, and the QFS is operational. Hopefully everyone trying to use RV money for illegal purposes will be stopped cold.
