Shybaby:  Hong Kong is doling out $1,280 to every adult resident in order to boost its economy amid Coronavirus outbreak

Every adult citizen in Hong Kong — roughly 7 million people — will be given 10,000 Hong Kong dollars (the equivalent of $1,280) in an effort to boost the territory's economy amid political unrest and fears over the Coronavirus outbreak.

The giveaway is part of a massive spending initiative the government announced in its annual budget Wednesday.

"I have decided to disburse $10,000 to Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above, with a view to encouraging and boosting local consumption on the one hand, and relieving people's financial burden on the other," Financial Secretary Paul Chan said.

According to Yahoo News, Hong Kong will dip into its massive stockpile of fiscal reserves totaling more than 1 trillion Hong Kong dollars to pay for the handout, which Chan estimates will cost 71 billion Hong Kong dollars.

"The social incidents in the past months and the novel coronavirus epidemic have dealt a heavy blow to Hong Kong's economy," Chan said as he introduced the measure. "Making good use of fiscal reserves to support enterprises and relieve people's hardship is certainly in line with our people's expectations," he added.

The news comes after months of economic and political unrest in the city resulting from pro-democracy demonstrations and the U.S.-China trade war. When a surge of Coronavirus infections hit the city, it only accentuated the economic downturn.

Chan acknoledges that "Hong Kong's economy is facing enormous challenges" and is predicting a growth range of -1.5 percent to 0.5 percent for the coming year. But he hopes that the new budget initiatives will see the economy through its first recession in a decade.

"In the medium term, the economic outlook of Hong Kong remains positive," he said

Independent / The new Corona virus has become a world-wide talk after recording an alarming number of people infected with it, in addition to the number of deaths, in addition to that it infected a number of senior officials in Iran.

Corona afflicted the Iranian vice president and Iranian health minister, and killed the life of a former ambassador, as well as injuring a number of officials, which prompted the world to talk about the virus’s harvesting of the heads of the Iranian regime.

Today, Russia's correspondent reported that Masum Ibtikar, the Iranian Vice President for Women Affairs, was infected with the new outbreak of Corona virus in the country, and Iranian sites announced the death of the Iranian diplomat, politician and cleric, and the head of the Iranian interests bureau in Cairo, Syed Hadi Khusrawshahi, after he was infected with the deadly Corona virus in Qom, and it has been under treatment for days in a hospital in the capital, Tehran.

Khosrow Shahi took over the presidency of the Iranian Interests Section in Cairo for a period of 4 years from 2001 to 2004, as well as the position of former Iranian ambassador to the Vatican and advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Corona is spreading rapidly in many Iranian cities, and so far 26 people have been killed and 245 injured, according to the Iranian Ministry of Health.

Khosraushahi became the third official infected with the virus, and Iran had officially announced that the country's health minister was infected with the Corona Iraj Harirji virus, after he appeared at a press conference next to a Rouhani government spokesman who was sweating. He is now being quarantined, according to the Iranian Ilna news agency.

Iranian MP Mojtaba Dhul Nur, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Parliament, announced that he had been infected with the Corona virus and Dhu al-Nur said, in the video clip he posted on social networking sites “Twitter”, that the results of the Corona virus tests were positive.

Iranian MP Mahmoud Sadiqi also announced his infection with the new Coronavirus, on Twitter, and he wrote: “Corona’s analysis has had positive results.” I leave this message and I have no hope of living in this life. He left his will to the head of the judiciary, Mahmoud Raisi, and called for the release of prisoners in the country to prevent the spread of the virus in prisons.

Elham Shaikhi, 23, is a futsal soccer player in Iran, who died Thursday in the city of Qom.

And the Iranian authorities announced imposing restrictions on the movement of people suffering from confirmed or suspected cases of the Corona virus, which is the highest outside China, where the virus originated.

Iranian Minister of Health, Saeed Nimky, announced that "instead of imposing a quarantine on the cities, we will apply restrictions on the movement of those suspected of being injured or injured," noting that teams of inspectors were already placed at the entrances to the cities that witnessed an active movement, without naming it.

He pointed out that these medical teams will measure the temperatures of the citizens, and stop the injured or suspected of infection, and these will be isolated for 14 days.

The Minister of Health said that access to several Shia holy places will be restricted, including the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad and the Fatima Shrine in Qom.

The Iranian Minister of Health added that citizens will be allowed to visit the shrines provided that they are provided with "hand washing fluids, health information and masks", adding that "they should not meet in groups and pray and leave."    li

The vote for Allawi's cabinet has been postponed.....one report indicates Sunday and one report indicates Saturday for reconvening to vote.

Iraqi TV is showing a small representation of Parliament members at Thursday's session.

Citizens are angry and took to the streets burning tires and throwing rocks through windows.

Reportedly, a quorum was not established due to threats from Sadr's ministers not appearing at the session.

A source reports that 4:00 Eastern today is targeted to possibly reconvene Parliament for a vote. Time Will Tell

Okie:  Thanks to everyone for your help and your prayers……I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. In Nov. when I was first given assistance…that’s the month I died and was brought back by the grace of God. Thanks for all your prayers and will do my best to help on this ride we are taking.

Okie:  Tonight may be interesting and tomorrow may really be interesting….A Zurich contact that I had said Tues, Wed may finally be our time……As I understand it tonight and tomorrow morning there is a possibility (key word)  we may get 800 numbers . That is the last I got from “The source” who has the authority to make this happen.

Snake:  My intel is similar …..My senior banker source at WF who is in charge of Exchange centers for 5 states including Texas. He is in charge of training for employees on Wells Fargo and specialists with Abbot Downing investment banking branch..  He feels very confident that late today or early tomorrow we may get our emails from Wells Fargo and 800 numbers for a start on Tuesday .

Caller Do we need to do paperwork if we are over 70? Can we just get the lowest rate?   Do we have to have a project?

Okie: Anyone who exchanges or redeems will have to sign at least a minimum nda depending on how much you exchange. Example: The more Zim you have the greater your NDA requirements will be.  The projects are the justification for you getting the highest rates. The banks should have projects available if you wish to team up on them on if you want.

Snake: Unless you are going with a major project I think you can exchange with just a picture ID for whatever the street rate will be.

Caller: I hear we can redeem Zim at a military base or a local bank branch

Snake : I have heard it both ways.  If Zim is all you have maybe you can go to a military base. Okie do you know?

Okie: My understanding is there is a military option for redeeming Zim and just last week we hear Tier 1 banks will all be able to redeem them as well…..we will wait until we have all the final proceedures to know for sure.

Snake : There will be some exchange centers not in banking facilities…usually in the larger towns

Caller: Can you tell us more about Abbot Downing? How much do we need to qualify to do business there?

Snake : I am not sure what the threshold is of how much you need to use Abbot Downing . I have heard 50 million dollars.

Blondie: That is what I heard.

Snake:  They are a good firm. There are several good firms . its important to get with a good investment banker …one with a fiduciary behind his name…..Someone that has your best interest in mind for many years to come. If you exchange with WF- they will have Abbot Downing Reps there so you can schedule an appointment with them . They will want to know what you want to do in the future….your goals and objectives for the rest of your lives. Its important to pick someone for you to have a good professional relationship with.  (Be sure to listen to the full description of investment products available)

Caller: My question is about the NDA. Do we know yet about it…I am worried about my nosy friends asking questions.

Snake: The biggest issue I have heard about the NDA is  you do not disclose the rates you received for 3 months, 6 months , a year or with no end……..we do not know yet. All you need to say to people is that you are limited in what you are allowed to say…..

Okie: All you have to say is you made an off shore investment in the oil trade……that is the truth because China has the oil trade with Iraq……and their currency is based on the value of what oil is……so your off shore investment is based on what the value of oil is in a foreign country…..that should suffice.  

Caller:  About projects in regard to Zim rates. . Are we still hearing it could be 33 million per 100T note with projects

Okie: I understand that your rate may be contingent on the type of projects you will be doing…if you have a large project you may get a large rate…..…it is also my understanding that a limit of 33 million per 100 trillion note is being talked about. …..it was still being talked about as of yesterday in fact . There is a rumor from a Chinese contact that they have an designated amount of Zim they will allowed to take.   Be sure to get in as quick as you can with your Zim so that you do not fall into the “dead letter” category and miss your opportunity…Do not wait for weeks to get in with your Zim. .

Caller: When I exchange I don’t have a trust…what do I do? What kind of account do I exchange into?

Okie: They will set you up a temporary trust that will be good for 6 months to give you time to get your own trust(s) .It will give you control until you get a trust of your own. 

Snake: And that trust is revocable…….it can be changed if you wish. They will also do a financial questionnaire and help you with a financial plan.   Just get their ideas  and stay in control of your money, Also Put it in a Non interest bearing account so it’s not taxed . Everything I own will be in a trust and not owned personally.

Okie: New IRS Anology….”We’ve got what it takes to get all that you’ve got”  IRS now means “Internal Robbery Squad”

Caller: Are we redeeming or exchanging Zim?   Will zim be taxed? 

Okie: we are redeeming the Zim ….They are Gold Bond Certificates. Currency is an exchange.  We do not know about Zim tax implications as of yet.

Caller: I am an American National and I do not want to sign an NDA…I plan on bringing a notary and recording the transaction.

Okie: The NDA is because they do not want the average American to know how little they could have invested to get so much back…If everyone found out….there would be all kind of protests. The bank will provide notary’s and it’s my understanding that phones and recording devices will not be allowed.

Caller: Can we go with family members to help them at their appointments?

Okie: I hear that you could….but, it’s my understanding that everyone at the exchange will have to sign an NDA.

Snake: If you have a limited power of attorney with who you are helping… it will allow you to attend their exchange appointment

Caller: Do we have to have receipts where we purchased our currency ?

Okie: You do not have to bring proof of purchase…..just bring your currency. People are complicating what should be a simple appointment. If you have currency they will not ask you where you got it….they will just redeem it.

Snake: Now for taxes – receipts and the date you purchased your currency….may make a difference if it’s a long or short term investment.   For capital gains.

Okie: Its my understanding this is not a taxable event.

Snake: That’s what I understand as well…..but pays to be prepared.

Okie : The Zim may be taxable as it’s a Gold Bond redemption…..that has not been made clear to us as of yet.

Okie: I hear many people saying they want to fly to Hawaii after the RV…my advice is to take a boat. There are more planes at the bottom of the sea then there are boats in the sky…lol

Caller: We have heard if you are 70 or above you do not need a project to redeem the Zim.

Okie: Everyone will qualify for the international/street rate whether you have a project or not.

Snake: Ask you bank if they have projects or humanitarian projects available that if you want to qualify for a higher rate you and  could donate to these projects…they may have some available.

Caller: I heard you don’t want to put more than $500,000 in an account?

Okie: You may be talking about the wire-line transfer on the first day.

Snake: That depends on the rate and how much you have.

Snake: I don’t plan on leaving big amounts in the bank…but to start we all have to do it that way.

Example: Say you have 10 million you can set up trusts and foundations and distribute it in other accounts. If you put it in an interest bearing account they can mingle your funds with the Federal reserve and loan it out to other people. …….  If you put it in a non- interest bearing account – they cannot do that.  But they will not let you keep huge amounts in a non- interest bearing account for very long…imo set up a temporary account as Okie had said ….then work with your wealth managers and investment bankers ect…..During this time….the banks can give you a letter of credit for any purchase you want to make.    

Okie: Even though we are told this is a not taxable event…..Because we do not know of the exact tax requirements it is still good advice to open a separate account with each currency……Just in case some is taxed like the Zim may be

Okie:  There may be 2 % fee taken off the top of this exchange given to the US Treasury . The banks may also try to charge you ½ of 1% out of you for this transaction. If you plan on leaving your money in this bank you tell them you do not feel comfortable paying them that fee to hold your money . You can negotiate that half of a percent out of existence….that may be a big amount.

Caller: Does anyone know about how we insure our funds after we exchange?  Do we go to Lloyd of London?

Snake. That’s one option. You can also go to brokerage money market accounts and each account should have a separate insurance policy.  It’s best to talk this over with the bank. Ask them the best way to structure accounts so all your funds are insured.

Okie: Since we are going to be exchanging into digital currency backed by gold and silver.  I would think that whatever bank you put it into would be the Guarantur….. It will now be asset backed in a digital form ….. and your funds should all be safe with the QFS.

Snake: There may be a transition period of 6 months to a year to get it all accomplished. but that is very true.

Blondie: : And Trump nominated Judy Shelton to the Federal Reserve.

Okie:  Judy Shelton has been orchestrating all of this from behind the curtain all along…. Imo

Caller: I had heard conflicting info about exchanging into a WF skeleton trust.    Is there any reason not to trust the temporary skeleton trust at the banks that we exchange into at our exchange? Can we exchange into non interest bearing accounts first and then move to trusts? Or do you advise against this?

Snake: There are a lot of unknowns in the tax structure on putting it into your own name…Your bank accounts and what you put into them will be the basis of your exchange values.   I wish we knew what or if the new tax laws will be….Okie says this will be a non-taxable event so the currency wont be taxable. If you don’t earn interest you will not pay taxes on it.  .

Caller What about the nominee accounts?

Snake:  A nominee account is an account not in your name. and non interest bearing is the way to go.

Okie: I understand it’s a requirement of the exchange ….It is my understanding when we exchange they will only put funds in a revocable trust at first.

Snake:  All the trusts at the bank are approved and pre-determined by the IRS under the laws of the state you live in….Be sure it’s a revocable trust that you can change it…..  As Okie says set up a temporary revocable trust when you exchange and they set up your lawyers, wealth managers ect, other trusts ect……during this time .  When you transfer funds from your temporary trust to your new trusts and accounts….have the bank do it…do not do it yourself.

Caller: With the temporary trust can you still spend it- have “walking around “ money ect??

Snake:   Sure: I would suggest not to take out more than $9000 at a time so you don’t trigger any investigations that could freeze your accounts. You could have certified checks written to anyone yu want as well.    Very few bankers will have access to any of your accounts…..tellers will not…..only bank officers. And this if for your protection.  The bank will give you letters of credit based on your account balances for any purchases  you want while you are setting things up.

Caller: I understand there will only be a few banks exchanging Zim.

Okie: Most all the banks will have rates that are comparable and competitive.  …..they do not want people going one place and exchange a bit then buying more currency and going somewhere else. That’s double dipping.

Okie:  People seem to be worried about what they are going to do at once after they exchange…day 1 and day 2……. I think people should take your time …don’t be in a big hurry…this is a long term thing….take your time and do not rush. …do your exchange and then meet with your advisors and lawyers  and map out everything you need to do. .

Okie: I enjoyed being on this call….wish I had enough air to talk longer. Snake has great information….hook your wagon to his star and you won’t go wrong. When this RV’s I plan on paying it forward from all who have helped me.

Elmerf123456:  Due to his health, it took a while to get in touch with my friend Okie,  but I just got off the phone with him.  

He is feeling much better after coming out of the hospital and is having some therapies done and still has a long way to go.

However,  he wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,  and of course happy holidays all around.

Okie stated that you were some of the best friends he’s never met and loves all of you.

He certainly appreciates your constant prayer and keeping him in your thoughts!  

I am overjoyed to have had our conversation and IMO that man is tough as nails!

Why is it being delayed?...

Jeff  ...One: What is Trump's 2020 campaign theme?  Strong economy.  The Dow...is not too far away from 29,000 points...

What if the U.S. financial markets were all at an all-time high and that's also when Iraq changed their rate? 

Jeff  ...That would mean we would have very high US financial markets and then roughly billions of dollars just got injected into our economy and that would be approximately 7 to 8 months right before the US elections in November...there's a very strong possibility Trump could have delayed this to have it well positioned within 7 to 8 months of the US elections. 

That way he looks like an economic king and genius.  That's one scenario because ironically it kind of is playing out in that direction right now.  The second: Iraq could have needed some time to get themselves positioned...get some of the Iranian influence out of there...they've been passing certain laws...nobody knows exactly but those are two very solid reasons why this may have been delayed...

Be it 10 minutes or ten years, if you've been involved in the RV/GCR at any level whatsoever, then chances are pretty good that you've heard mention of "Okie" somewhere along your journey.

Or more appropriately, Okie Oilman.

Seemingly larger than life, with a reputation that far precedes him.

Without a doubt a Dinarland legend in our own time.

For those that weren't around back in the day, when it came to the RV of the IQD, Okie Oilman was the original voice of authority.

Sure, there were others around but to this day I doubt any of them still command the presence that Okie does.

After all, there's only one Okie Oilman.

Always has been. Always will be.

While many attempted to duplicate him along the trail, his style truly is one-of-a-kind.

Pretenders need not apply.

Simply seeing the words GOOD MORNING AMERICA - SHIPS AT SEA and ALL OUR WORLD WIDE FRIENDS at the beginning of a Dinarland post meant that Okie was in the house and likely ready to drop some awesome intel.

Sure, many people thought Okie was crazy, what with his $3.41 rate guesstimate an' all.

Yet at the same time, many others were more than convinced of his qualifications to speak on all things RV related.

Hearing rumors of his supposedly being in a particular photo in front of a well known "House" with a few other well known folks definitely helped add to his credibility.

And at the same time, his larger-than-life mystique.

Best of all, no one could prove one way or another as no one knew for certain who he was, nor what he looked like.

They only knew his voice. That unmistakable voice.

In reality, that likely helped more than it hurt his reputation.

Back then, the RV was all there was.

It was more than enough to keep Dinarland awash in rumors 24/7.

There was no talk of anything such as the Vietnamese Dong nor the Zim, let alone an impending GCR.

It was all Iraq. All dinar. All. The. Time.

And Dinarians were in need of something to believe in.

Something to prove to themselves that this too good to be true roller coaster was indeed a worthwhile venture.

Something to keep them moving forward, letting them know that they weren't insane like their Brother-In-Law's Gardner's Hairdresser said they were.

That the RV of the IQD wasn't a scam and that indeed those fortunate few that chose to get involved were in a special Club.

Also keep in mind that he was more than a bit controversial.

When one of the most well known of the Guru's at the time, with his Series 7 Certificate framed and nailed to his bathroom wall, was continually spouting rumors of the how's & why's of the Iraqi dinar revaluing at an astounding rate of $0.10, and that we should be grateful at that, in rode Okie Oilman, high on his horse, shouting out his $3.41 rate.

Like a modern day Paul Revere, fresh from the Sandbox.

Never wavering from that rate.

One can only imagine the controversy that caused.

How could someone declare such a thing, let alone with such conviction.

Was he insane, or so supremely confident in his sources that he chose to stand tall in the face of nearly constant controversy.

And by controversy I mean he was bad mouthed and bashed by numerous doubting Dinarians far and wide, refusing to believe in his logic, his so called sources, nor the feasibility of such an insanely high rate.

But like a finely crafted, Zirconian encrusted Timex watch, he took a lickin' and kept on tickin', never once backing down from his beliefs.

Best of all, look who's laughin' now.

Looks like he was nearly spot on.

At least according to the latest rumors floating around Dinarland.

Give or take a bit here 'n there for inflation, more barrels produced per day, etc..

And speaking of horses, he was beyond proud that he held more than enough dinar to "stuff his horse Trigger".

Which could only mean one thing.

He truly believed in the RV of the IQD and was all in, no matter how long it took to see the end result.

And if Okie Oilman was all in, then dangit, so was I.

Not only that, he was also committed to his sources.

Sources that were rumored to be of the highest level.

And it was that confidence that convinced many of us that we weren't crazy.

That this entire RV thing wasn't a scam and that we were on the right track.

Armed with a voice stronger than a Morgan Freeman/Sam Elliot combo plate, just as when EF Hutton spoke, when Okie spoke, people listened.

As time went on and the GCR began to get a foothold, he began participating in fewer conference calls.

Yet his posting still continued on, easily recognizable by his numerous Okieism's.

Quick one-liners, a few creative words here 'n there and you knew you were reading an Okie Oilman post.

Clever quips such as "Closer that a tick on a dog." or "Closer than a Band-Aid on your skin."

Small attention-grabbers like those let you know that Okie was still in the game and if you were smart, you would be as well.

As the years have continued to roll by, bringing the VND, the ZIM and most of all the GCR to the forefront of this seemingly never ending roller coaster ride, despite fewer appearances, Okie continues to command attention.

Numerous Guru's having left the stage along the way, bowing out in the knowing that despite their best intentions, they weren't as well connected as they once thought.

Nor as they'd hoped.

Sure, to date nearly everyone has been wrong about this entire RV/GCR thing.

Including Okie. Yet he has never shown any signs of throwin' in the towel.

Which honestly, is a testament to his mental strength and fortitude.

Over the years this entire thing has morphed more times than we've heard "sooner than later" or "It's done... we're just waiting for the release!"

And honestly, that's a heckuva lot of times.

Yet, in all this time Okie has continued to stick to his $3.41 and never wavered.

More than can be said of many other folks throughout the years.

And who knows, Okie might end up being right.

As crazy as it sounded at the time, it doesn't even come close to all the Contract Rate insanity that has continued to permeate Dinarland throughout the past 5 or 6 years.

Wouldn't that be awesome vindication after all that Okie Oilman has endured.

Sure, I certainly want the highest available rate but at the same time I'd truly enjoy seeing Okie being vindicated.

Let's see how all that plays out.

Hopefully soon.

I'm really looking forward to this thing reaching its conclusion.

To bringing this thing in for a landing.

To finally be able to fold up our foldout tables and adjust our seat backs to an upright position.

Like Okie always says, "If you're not excited... then your wood's still wet."

With all the stuff floating around in Dinarland these days, maybe it's finally time to get excited.

We've been circling the airport now for far too long.

Enough with the refueling.

It's time to drop the landing gear and bring 'er in for a landing once and for all.

And I don't know about you but I'm more than ready to graduate.

I'm looking forward to Okie's graduation speech, receiving my RV/GCR Diploma, and getting on to improving the lives of those around me.

Thank you, Okie Oilman, for all you've done throughout the years to help not only me and my family, but numerous other Dinarians all across Dinarland survive this far too long drawn out trail ride.
