Biff   Dave Democrats have been defending Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for years, saying that her obvious drinking problem isn’t actually a problem.

According to reports, An ambulance was called to her residence in California last night after a night of drinking. The Hawton Gazette reports:

Pelosi was rushed to the hospital. While information is scarce at the moment, sources close to Pelosi say that the medical issue was related to the consumption of alcohol.

The hospital could not provide specific information, but describes her as being in “critical condition.”

Pelosi’s office has declined to comment, but a spokesperson thanked Americans for their thoughts and prayers.

According to Breitbart News, nine of the Democrat’s lawyers were seen entering and exiting the hospital. In addition, her daughter Christine flew in to visit and has been by her mother’s side “since the early morning.”

It’s unclear if her condition has improved last night, as Democrats are keeping quiet about this hospital visit.

Francis Albert   Keep in mind, the FED, as it is called...is two fold. The Federal Reserve Board is Federal..they get USG paychecks. They control interest rates banks, (that own the NY FED), get from the FED NY.

Now, near zero, essentially free money. President Trump and Powell can say, let's give Americans two 1K checks in April and May. (which is what they are going to do IMO). and of course the NY FED smiles, why wouldn't they. Treasury,(we the people) create treasury bonds for say 600 Billion, the NY FED creates the dollars, LOANS them to the Treasury and we pay it back with interest.

Have you ever read the definition. Those are contradicting references. Don't misunderstand me I in no way believe that this is a quick fix. It's going to take time they need to create the conditions first and then hope investors come and when they do there should be significant Improvement in the dinar as a result but this isn't going to happen overnight it may take even years. But that is the intent. I think the economist and again this is my opinion believe Iraq could be another Dubai if the conditions are created.

I do not think anyone has ever disputed what the IMF has said, it is the interpretation that is in question. The words in the middle of your statement are key "consider creating the conditions", a float outside the right conditions is another form of devaluations. 

One of the conditions is that the country has the ability to intervene in the market and the way things are in Iraq that is not going to happen in our lifetime, the Iraqi currency cannot float only sink.

Up until 2014, Russia was on a managed float or soft peg, whichever way you want to describe it. During 2014 the price of oil dropped significantly,sound familiar, and Russia could no longer afford to intervene and prop up the Ruble so they moved to float the currency which resulted in a significant devaluation.

A floating exchange rate is not a good move for an oil producing country, Kuwait's stability has come from remaining pegged to a basket of currencies.

It is wrong to claim that the IMF encourages countries into a flexible exchange arrangement, they only do so for countries that have the ability to transition successfully. In some cases, such as Egypt they will coerce a country into floating the currency to force a devaluation,different objective altogether.

Sandyf    A handful of links does not mean you have a plausible interpretation. It would be delusional to think that Iraq meets the IMF guidelines for a successful transition. Iraq is in a desperate situation, as was Egypt when the IMF forced the transition as a devaluation mechanism.

If Iraq follows the same path it will join Egypt on the list of disorderly transitions with the IQD taking many years to regain the value it has now.

Floating the currency is never going to create any meaningful return on the IQD investment.

Sandyf    A handful of links does not mean you have a plausible interpretation. It would be delusional to think that Iraq meets the IMF guidelines for a successful transition. Iraq is in a desperate situation, as was Egypt when the IMF forced the transition as a devaluation mechanism.

If Iraq follows the same path it will join Egypt on the list of disorderly transitions with the IQD taking many years to regain the value it has now.

Floating the currency is never going to create any meaningful return on the IQD investment.
