Report: 2023 global shipping trends and the route to 2024- Logistics Middle East

"According to Container xChange’s Trends and Impacts annual report, the sector has been largely influenced by the comparatively subdued growth in container demand, driven by a host of adverse economic influences, including surging inflation, heightened interest rates, and consequent shifts in consumer spending patterns."   The shipping landscape has changed significantly along with consumer sentiment. At this time, consumers have cut their spending on non-essential goods by 74%, and it is expected to carry on into 2024.

"HSBC has piloted the use of Quantum Key Encryption to protect its client’s Forex trading data from cyber-threats."

For this trial, HSBC utilized artificial intelligent market's trading terminal mechanism called Quantum Key Distribution. This QKD mechanism encrypts and decrypts messages sent back and forth from receiver to sender utilizing cryptographic protocols to create a shared secret code.

"Deloitte and Nexxiot form alliance to provide the blockchain infrastructure to digitize logistics supply chain" These two companies are joining together to provide digital logistical supply chain AI services.

They will move goods and supplies through the Air, Land, and Sea with technical computer computations that routes and plans for adequate staffing to meet the needs of companies moving their products.  Companies will be able to talk to one another and provide the movement of their products from their warehouse to the storefronts of any Country in the world.

After several months of cutting oil production by several OPEC+ countries, the production indicators finally dropped in November after cutting back since July.  This has the tendency to raise the price of crude oil. It will increase transportation costs here in America as we are one of the highest consumers of OPEC+ oil. 

Look for transportation of goods and services to slow down as a result. The current agreement is to slow production for the first quarter of 2024.

Societe Generale announced Monday that it issued its first green bond on the Ethereum blockchain. 

The transaction — which took place in late November — amounts to 10 million euros, or roughly $10.8 million, and has a maturity of three years.   The tokenized bonds, France’s third largest bank wrote, will ensure “increased transparency and traceability as well as improved fluidity and speed in transactions and settlements.”

Finally, the US SEC adopts Final Rules on Security-Based Swap Execution Facilities. This includes foreign currency exchanges.

On November the 2nd, 2023, the final rules have finally been accepted to move forward with banks and other redemption centers.  The implementation date for these security swap facilities are 60 days after Federal registration for them to do so takes place.

This means that early January 2024 will be the earliest date for exchange facilities to become a possibility.

The BRICS Nations are currently letting go of their trades in dollars and signing free trade agreements with each other this year.  This will allow them to trade in their own local currencies.
And, it will increase the demand for their own currencies raising their values between each other.

Recently, China and Saudi Arabia have just signed agreements to make their primary trading currency their own instead of the dollar.

 Iraq recently published new final guidelines stating their intent to be free from money laundering and terrorist interaction.

This allows them to be viewed as a banking system free from a sanctions list upon its implementation.

It is a letter of intent and declaration recognizing the achievement of their training that they have gone through to reach this goal.

They have to register these intentions with the SEC or the Securities Exchange Commission to do so.
