Tishwash: Parliamentary Finance holds a crucial meeting to complete the vote on the budget
The Parliamentary Finance Committee held a meeting, on Tuesday, in preparation for settling the general budget law.
A representative source said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "The committee continues discussions to pass the budget, and it held a crucial meeting to discuss bridging the deficit within the budget." He added, "The most prominent dispute over the budget centers on determining the proportion of the Kurdistan region and granting oil-producing provinces their financial entitlements within the budget."
A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Aref Al-Hamami, confirmed that great progress had been made during the negotiations to pass and amend the budget, suggesting that the approval of the budget be delayed until the end of this month to complete the negotiations.In an interview with Al-Information Agency, Al-Hamami said, "The Parliamentary

The leader of the "Knights of Sovereignty" alliance, Meshaan al-Jubouri, revealed an effort to change the speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohammed al-Halbousi, following the approval of the financial budget.
Al-Jubouri said in a televised statement: "Suqour Al-Watan is with Khamis Al-Khanjar in a strategic political alliance," noting that "Al-Khanjar told Al-Halbousi: (You are characterized by treachery and lack of respect for contracts, and that the Sovereignty Alliance is registered in my name and in the name of Mishaan Al-Jubouri in the Election Commission."
He added, "Soon, the deputies will sign to relieve Al-Halbousi from his post, and the decision of the Sovereignty Alliance is to support Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani."
Al-Jubouri pointed out that "our decision in the Sovereignty Coalition is not to disturb the political atmosphere in order to pass the budget," adding, "Dissidents from the Taqaddam party joined us in our political alliance, and the dagger forced al-Halbousi to cut short his leave and return to Parliament," he said.
He said: "Khamis al-Khanjar does not betray his partners even if he disagrees with them," accusing "al-Halbousi of seeking in several ways to get rid of me and remove me from Parliament, and he excluded me because he felt my danger in the Finance Committee."
Mishaan al-Jubouri said: "Al-Halbousi is a threat to Iraq, and it will lead the country to something worse than ISIS," he said.
And he stressed that "any sane Shiite senses the danger of al-Halbousi in parliament, and he poses a threat to the entire political process," noting that "after approving the budget, al-Halbousi will be dismissed in the event that half plus one is available."
Al-Jubouri continued his criticism of Al-Halbousi, saying that he "acts as if he is a director of a company and interferes even in the management of departments, and his overthrow requires the joining of the deputies of determination with us."
He explained, "The number of deputies of the Knights of Sovereignty has reached 18 deputies so far, and the deputies closest to al-Halbousi will sign with us to overthrow him, because he has become a threat to Sunni deputies and ministers," he said.
Al-Jubouri went on to say: "We in the Knights of Sovereignty agree to give the presidency of Parliament to the Azm Bloc, and we do not mind Khaled al-Obaidi assuming the presidency of Parliament instead of al-Halbousi," stressing that "the Sudanese government will not be stable in light of al-Halbousi remaining as Speaker of Parliament, and the goal of the Sovereign Knights coalition is to overthrow al-Halbousi." .
He expected "the approval of the budget early next week," accusing "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi of trying to disrupt the budget, but he failed. He also wanted to summon the interior minister to parliament and failed."
Al-Jubouri described Al-Sudani's performance as "good, which obliges us to support and respect him, as he is the most patriotic person in Iraq's history."

We are watching it unfold in front of us. Most experts believe we have a 99% chance to see a hard landing…..not a soft landing.
Member: When they revalue our money on the new Gold Standard- will it increase in value or go 1 to 1?
MZ: It is expected to exchange 1 to 1 but prices get cheaper so theoretically they expect it to be lots stronger….but still exchange 1 to 1 with the old.

Independent MP, Amir Al-Mamouri told Shafaq News agency, that there is a "reservation and objection by a number of parliamentarians to the paragraphs related to imposing taxes on citizens in the budget law, especially the airport tax."
Al-Mamouri, a member of the Parliamentary Labor and Social Affairs Committee, said, "The draft budget law stipulates imposing a withholding tax of 25,000 dinars from every Iraqi citizen who intends to travel outside the country."

Today, Monday, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mustafa Al-Karawi, revealed the date for approving the federal general budget.
Al-Karawi said in a statement followed by the National News Center: “There are about six remaining articles of the draft budget law, all of which need a political decision and transfer.”
He added, “The committee called for achieving social justice in the budget and improving the reality of the governorates,” noting that “the budget cannot be passed without fairness to the governorates that suffer from a lack of services.”
Al-Karawi stressed that “it is likely that the budget will be approved at the end of the week in the event that the remaining materials are settled and transfers are made.” LINK

Scarlett10: Why are so many people so focused on the budget. It's not parliament that's going to change the rate, it is the CBI. It's the CBI that changes the rate not parliament. The CBI can do it anytime. I only watch what the CBI is doing and articles that focus on finances and cards and as far as what we are seeing in articles to date, the CBI can push the button anytime now.
DCDriver: To me, having a budget in place gives Iraq credibility and more stability for the CBI to do their thing IMO but what do I know

Member: Why does Goldilocks think the Fednow system is a good thing?
MZ: Goldilocks appears to believe that the Fednow system is for moving money with the QFS. To me I am more concerned it’s a system to move their Central Bank Digital Currency . The Fed now is a separate thing.. They are not the same as the CBDC…..It appears that Goldilocks and others believe it is just a mechanism. But I have zero trust in our government, or The federal Reserve and central banks all around the world. But, we do need a better transfer system….so it could be a good thing or it could be a bad thing.
MZ: Don’t waste your time worrying about something you can’t change. Stay informed but don’t lose your minds over it yet. It appears to be a transfer system. It does not appear to be a CBDC.
Member: If the bad guys want it ….I don’t think it’s a good thing for any of us for sure.
Member: Iraq has the Buna and Ayscuda money transfer systems for moving money internationally….maybe it will be something like that…..but the name FedNow sure sounds like its coming out of the evil Federal reserve and the cabal.
MZ: Remember many states have passed legislation that they will not recognize or accept Central Bank Digital Currencies in their states…..many. But they may all be excited about a new transfer system that get folks their money quicker from one bank to another domestically. So don’t panic yet until we see more.
MZ: “ Budget 2023-politial consensus and parliamentary disagreement- when will it pass?” The people in Iraq want to know when the budget will pass. They want you to know they are meeting over the next few days and dthey are going to grind through the budgetary process. Personally I think this is all show and they have already approved it. And for whatever reason they are trying to buy a few more days before they let it go. The question is WHY? That’s the question I am asking myself.

MZ: I pretty much agree with you.
Member: Its going to happen.
MZ: Yes it’s going to happen. They have told us it was going to happen. . We don’t know the timing but we know its going to happen.
MZ: There is a crazy amount of military activity being seen everywhere over the last few days. Its off the chain….A number of you guys are sending me pictures and comments. Something appears to be building. There rally is so much going on right now.
Member: “Disruptive inbound event. Supposedly coming this week.” 100 congress members given satellite phone to stay in communication….hmmmmm
MZ: “Global shift away from US dollar is now inevitable: says Venezuelan President Nicolus Maduro” He even references Zimbabwe’s gold backed token. And he talks about BRICS and what is needed to sidestep the us dollar. He also gives credit to the African nations for setting the tone for this. It’s happening guys.
Member: Why does Iraq Govt. lie to their people. We are going to vote on budget on Sat, then Monday, now sometime this week????????? I feel sorry for the Iraqi people.
Member: I feel sorry for the historic bond people as well……lied to on a daily basis….so frustrating.
MZ: Bond people do not have funds yet….there are some appointments scheduled for tomorrow. i beleive everything is sitting on a precipice waiting to break loose this week.

Russia and Islamic nations are discussing de-dollarization and the state of the global financial system, according to a new report.
Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk says the talks are part of an overall look at “current global shifts”, reports the Russian state-funded news organization TASS.
Overchuk says the agenda is focused on de-dollarization, financial independence, industrial production, energy and food security.
“Of course, our relations [with Islamic countries] are influenced by global shifts that are taking place and global trends. We are talking about processes of de-dollarization and the creation of an independent financial system.

This broader agenda and how it affects countries and relationships allows us to see that relations between Russia and the Islamic states have a very large and very positive future. The government is doing a lot to ensure further development along these lines.”
Russia has expanded its financial ties to Iran after facing a wave of international sanctions due to its invasion of Ukraine.
Russia’s second-biggest bank, VTB, just opened a representative office in Iran, reports Forbes. Meanwhile, two Iranian banks are preparing to open physical locations in Russia.
According to Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, about 80% of mutual settlements between Russia and Iran are now settled using rials and rubles, and not the US dollar.
A total of 13 countries have now formally asked to join the global economic alliance known as BRICS.
In an interview with TV BRICS, African Ambassador Anil Sooklal says nations from Africa, Latin America and Asia are looking to become new members.
“So far, a number of countries (at least 13) from Africa, Latin America and Asia have applied or formally approached the BRICS leaders to become members of our association.
This is positive news for the bloc, as it demonstrates the confidence of the global south in the leadership of our association.”
Sooklal says BRICS, which is reportedly considering the launch of a global currency backed by gold, is now encouraging members to shift away from the US dollar and settle transactions in their own national currencies.
“In general, BRICS as a global association is based on three pillars – political security, economic and financial development, and social interaction among the member countries.
All three pillars are critical important for the creation of a global political architecture that is equitable and just, which is a stable safe environment for all. On the economic and financial side, we need a stable global financial architecture, a global financial arena. That is why we say that we need to trade in our own currencies.”
BRICS, which stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, is set to hold its yearly summit in August.
In addition to strengthening economic ties, Sooklal says leaders also plan to discuss sustainable development and green energy initiatives.

And obtained (Baghdad Today) on a video showing what happened in the session of the entanglement of hands, beating, punches and breaking of the contents of the parliament among the members of the House of Representatives Kurds, while a number of journalists of the region were injured inside the building of the House of Representatives to cover the proceedings of the session.
The Kurdistan region is witnessing sharp political differences between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union, which today reached the point of clash, and observers believe that the predominance of either party in this file may pave the way for changes in the political scene within the region in the coming years.

The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ammar Hamad Khalaf, received a high-ranking German delegation headed by the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Volker Uehle, accompanied by Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Baghdad, Margarete Jacob.
A statement to the Central Bank media stated, “The meeting, which included a group of general managers and specialists in the Central Bank of Iraq, discussed the most important economic, financial and monetary developments in Iraq, and the extent of the Iraqi Central Bank’s response in achieving balance and economic stability,
The meeting also discussed "the economic and technical aspects related to cooperation with the German side, including the provision of advisory services through the (GIZ) organization, and the projects that the organization manages in cooperation with this bank." link

Tishwash: Minister of Commerce: The private sector has become an essential and active partner in economic development
Minister of Commerce Atheer Al-Ghurairy affirmed, on Monday, that the government program includes support for openness to the regional and international environment, while indicating the endeavor to provide an investment environment in various economic fields.
"We are preparing to hold the 74th session of the Baghdad International Fair under the slogan (Iraq continues)," Al-Ghurairy said, during a symposium of trade attaches at the Baghdad International Fair. Iraq and the participating countries, upgrading them to advanced levels in partnerships, attracting investment and attracting expertise, learning about the latest developments in the investment sector and benefiting from them in achieving the goals of economic development.
He pointed out that "the government is working through the government program to support openness to the regional and international environment and strive to provide an investment environment and establish real partnerships in various economic fields, and develop these relations by activating the role of joint committees that take upon themselves the development and development of bilateral relations."
He explained, "The interest in organizing exhibitions is one of the measures taken by the government, which is one of the most important economic, social and cultural tools, establishing real partnerships and exchanging experiences with many countries of the world, striving to benefit from advanced experiences in the fields of economic development and investment, and providing the appropriate environment for local and foreign investors."
He pointed to "the endeavors for the next session of the Baghdad International Fair to be a real opportunity and a broad starting point for cooperation, which is a message to introduce Iraq as an attractive center for industry, trade and business, as it is the promising market for many international companies wishing to invest and enter the Iraqi market, and this casts a shadow over the economic interests between Iraq and the participating countries." .
Al-Ghurairy called on members of the diplomatic corps in Baghdad and commercial attaches in embassies to "share efforts so that the next session will be effective in terms of international participation and the types of participating companies, so that the exhibition will be a real meeting opportunity that achieves common goals and interests by urging countries and companies to participate and establish real partnerships with the private sector." Member: What is Mr. C’s role in the reset?
MZ: His role is rebooting the US dollar
MZ: Many conversations on Iraq over the weekend on lower denominations . How they need something lower than the 250 dinar note. They talk about re-establishing the 50 dinar note
Member: They pulled the 50 Dinar notes from the 2003 series years ago.
Member: The smaller denominations are a pretty clear sign of where this ends up. Even if it drags on for a bit longer.
MZ: Why do they need smaller notes if they have coins? It means they are preparing to change their value. Follow the steps. Remember in Kuwait….that morning of their RV they posted an article saying the RV was going to be months away…..then that same day they went…….this is normal. Expect misinformation…..do not ride the roller coaster.
Member: Misinformation everywhere……..that is for sure.
MZ: In Iraq “A special session to vote on the budget on Monday” they are working on it as we speak. I was hopine we would have had the quick rubber stamp on it by this morning….but nothing yet.
MZ: “Central Bank of Iraq-Using payment cards will be completely free with no fees” I wish they did that over here…. They want to make it very simple for you guys to use their asset backed currency.
MZ: This is a big one “Parliamentary defense-Parliament is unanimous to remove US forces” They have talked about this in the past…but now…We were told that Iraq needs to be sovereign went they RV’d….this is part of being sovereign.
Member: A little FYI of thinking "outside the RV box"....IRAQ can reinstate (RI) the dinar rates without revaluing (RV) the dinar....and therefore NOT RV before anyone else. Either way benefits dinar holders
Member: Frank 26 on this morning. Iraq is an RI not an RV they go alone.
Member: Iraq keeps saying they can go alone but yet here we are still waiting for them to go!!
Member: Nader has drop 2 videos he saying RV new rate is not in the budget and iraq is not ready yet to RV yet.
MZ:: We told you last week that the new rate may not be in the budget….what is important is the mechanism is in the budget to change the rate whenever they need to.
Member: look at it this way...I do believe that budget has been created using the revalued dinar and not the inflated value
Member: Per Militia Man: "The CBI determines rates, not the Government of Iraq" The budget is from Parliament, the Government. Hang tight folks.
Member: did you see the post by Militia Man that he may not be around much and would see how it plays out. Good news? NDA maybe?
MZ: If he is curtailing time in the dinar community he may be having to concentrate more on his real job. That’s all it means.
Member: Heard there is a major world wide zoom/ conference call from the CBI to all treasuries announcing the changes occurring and how it will affect international trade and banking
MZ: About June 14th to June 17th….there will be a big meeting in Russia with BRICS leaders to design their own gold standard. They are not meeting behind secret doors like they did with Bretton Woods. They are meeting out in the open with about 60 different nations to create their own gold standard money. This is the line drawn in concrete- not in the sand.
MZ: I have talked about this before that a banking system collapse forces things. Many years ago BRICS started putting into place a mechanism so there could only be one outcome to this no matter how hard the globalists try….they are designing a system to force this reset to happen. At any point the snakes can quit fighting so its over sooner…..but , if they continue fighting they are still putting the new system in place….for the inevitability. Tha is what is going on in St. Petersburg soon. It should have never taken this long. But the globalist are desperately trying to keep hold of power and spread their evilness. They do not care how many people die to keep their power.
Member: Western Journal reporting that US Senate is being given satellite phones in preparation of a “disruptive event”
MZ: I am hearing that as well. I am getting that from active military folks…from national guard and from DC. They are all preparing for some massive disruptive event.
Member: I heard June 1st a significant target date for something to occur?
Member: goldilocks says everything needs to be revalued by June 30th?
Member: it's happening whether they want it to happen or not. they cannot stop the train now
Member: Fed Now activation date was moved from July 1st to June 1st
Member: Mark, FEDNOW has moved its implementation date up from July 1 to June 1. Is FEDNOW a good thing? And how, if any does this impact the RV? Thank you.
MZ: This is their attempt to make a standardized processing system to move things quickly…They would control it. Unless the treasury takes over completely from the Fed. (We have heard rumors but no proof) IMO its going to fail if they base it on a fiat system. This is one of the last attempts from the globalists to be able to control everything…..in my book.

On Fri. 19 May in Iraq all electronic financial transfers were suspended such as use of ATMs, credit and debit cards. This strongly implied that the R/V would take place in the next 24-48 hours.
GCR Release Codes were rumored to have been entered.
On Sat. 20 May Buyer platforms were said being funded, with contracts and notifications to go out over the weekend and payments starting on Mon. 22 May.
On Sun. 21 May (early morning EST) the Iraqi Business Week began.
Iraqis were told they would have use of ATMs, credit and debit cards with the new Iraqi Dinar rate in them in two days, or by Tues. 23 May, or perhaps Wed. 24 May.
On Mon. 22 May in Iraq the new Iraqi Dinar rate was to be confirmed prior to the Parliament vote on the budget.
Sat. 20 May MarkZ: “Expectations are for an early vote on Sun. 21 May to officially pass the budget. We are hopeful with the HCL in the budget that we will quickly see a rate change. There is a mechanism in the budget to quickly adjust the value. This is a very important thing that tells us they are planning to change the value. On the bond side I continue to get more and more people with expectations of full closings and full funding of bond deals on the first two days of this week. There were a number of closing scheduled.
