Tishwash: Demonstrators heading towards the Green Zone
A security source reported, Tuesday (December 8, 2020), that demonstrators, who were affiliated with the security forces whose contracts had been revoked, had headed from Al-Jadriya area, to one of the entrances to the Green Zone in central Baghdad .

Don961: US Treasury: Group of Seven supports the regulation of digital currencies

The US Treasury said there was strong support in the G7 on the need to regulate digital currencies.
The ministry added in a statement after a hypothetical meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of Seven developed countries, today, Monday, that financial officials discussed ongoing responses to the evolving landscape of crypto assets and other digital assets and the work of national authorities to prevent their use for malicious purposes and illegal activities.
The US department added that the ongoing domestic and international economic responses and strategies for achieving a strong global recovery were discussed.
The statement indicated that the ministries of finance and central banks of the Group of Seven will remain in regular contact and continue to coordinate on effective and timely measures in response to the Corona epidemic.
US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin praised the group’s efforts in support of the debt service suspension initiative and the joint framework approved by the G20 to provide relief to the most vulnerable countries. link

Samson: An Iraqi delegation that includes four ministers will visit Cairo tomorrow

An Iraqi ministerial delegation, headed by Minister of Planning Khaled Najm Al-Battal, will visit the Egyptian capital Cairo tomorrow, Wednesday, and the membership of the ministers of health, trade and industry, as the visit will last for three days.
An official source said at Iraqi Embassy Cairo, "The delegation will sign, during the visit; seven memoranda of understanding with the Egyptian side," noting that "the notes will include enabling the stalled projects in Iraq, Cultural, scientific, development and agricultural protocols projects, as well as activating the memoranda of understanding signed during the visit of the Egyptian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation to Baghdad Recently," according to the official" Al-Sabah "newspaper.
The source added that "during the visit, the delegation will hold bilateral meetings between the ministers of the Iraqi side and their Egyptian counterparts, as well as conducting a number of field visits to a number of important projects in Cairo.
