Yada: Agreed Eccl. With the US demanding the auctions stop, now, and the UN threatening to put them back into chap 7 disbanding the Iraqi government, meaning the current members would lose their power, they will get this done. Even Iran doesn’t want that to happen because now no one there wins.

The first deputy speaker of parliament, Hassan Al-Kaabi, has set, on Sunday, next Wednesday, the date for the parliament session to vote on the government.
Al-Kaabi said in a brief statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it, that "the session of the parliament to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Allawi will take place next Wednesday."
It was scheduled to hold tomorrow, Monday, an extraordinary session of the parliament to give confidence to the government of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, and this came after the latter called the parliament to hold it. but prior to that ... this took place

GodLover: Per articles, the budget will not be sent to parliament until Allawi's government is seated......which could still be in that time frame hopefully....just keeping some grounded...imo. Also....per Delta's post....from Iraqi tv.....PM voting delayed until Wed imo. Lets just hope Allawi can pull something out of his hat & force his government voting imo.

hings are getting serious and they need to get their country turned around or the next step is the radical solution and that is the dissolution of the whole of Parliament, but I don't even know how that would actually work. How does the country function with no govt?
Although, it couldn't be much worse than the thieving sacks they have now. They could get three janitors to take over and probably do less damage than Alibaba and his Parliament are doing now.
If they would just RV, it SEEMS everything would get right. People happy, militias no longer funded, Iran cut off, dirty politicians unable to rob (at least not as easy). Win Win for everyone.

Turkish Health Minister Fakhreddin Kuja said on Sunday that Turkey will close its borders with Iran as a precaution to prevent the arrival of the Coruna virus after Iran has recorded 43 cases of the disease
He told reporters that all highways and railways will be closed from five in the evening (1400 GMT) on Sunday, and flights from Iran will be suspended
