Samson:  The Minister of Finance confirms the possibility of zeroing customs duties on medical devices and supplies

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Fuad Hussein confirmed, on Sunday, the possibility of including sterilization materials, devices and medical supplies and all that relates to anti-virus materials that are imported by the private sector, with the zeroing of customs duties imposed on them.

Hussein's office said in a statement received by / Mawazine News / a copy of it, "The latter participated in a meeting through closed-circuit television. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health and the advanced staff of the ministry and representatives of the World Health and the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund and the British embassy and the Ambassador of the United States of America in Baghdad".

The statement added, "The Minister of Health gave an explanation at the beginning of the general health situation, the number of injuries, the impact of the curfew in preventing disease, and the financial situation was discussed, and how to increase financial support to the Ministry of Health and the crisis cell. Fouad Hussein highlighted the general financial situation and emphasized The Ministry of Finance will continue to support the activities and work of the Ministry of Health and the crisis cell in this area."  Hussein pointed out, "The possibility of studying the coverage of sterilization materials, devices and medical supplies and all that relates to anti-virus materials imported from the private sector by corona, by yellowing the customs duties imposed on them."

The representative of the World Bank touched on the contacts and dialogues that took place between the representatives of the bank and the Iraqi Ministry of Finance and stressed the support of Iraq in this difficult stage.  Another group of topics related to reforms has been raised in the future economic situation, and how to work jointly with international financial institutions, according to the statement.   LINK

MilitiaMan:  The data in this is not to be lost on anyone, imo. Look who as at the meeting and why, for medical and supplies?

Well read along closely and look at the topics related to reforms.

Lets recall post 93 in that there has been no cash sales at the auctions today. Let alone for three weeks now. Then think about post 149 suggesting that they cannot pay salaries for the month of May.

 They tell us above per Faud Hussien who is the Finance Minister (per BBs), is highlighting the general financial situation in Iraq.. The World Bank, IMF, British Embassy and the United States of America are talking about not just medical devices and supplies.. They are talking about money! INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS... They all have dinar, imo.. They all have an interest in Iraq for to facilitate trade and usher in the RI.. imo.. 

Just look at who is there and why now? Is this too, about WAR reparations? Sure looks that way.. The UST and UK have a lot at stake in this.. We have seen STIMULUS PACKAGES are AT RECORD highs in both countries.. ... Just in my opinion of course.. lol ~ MM

Cleitus:  Great points you bring up, MM.  Why would these heavy of the heaviest hitters congregate just to discuss, "zeroing custom duties on medical devices and supplies?"  This is something that can be done internally within the "GOI" and logic would say it's a no brainer!

No..., this is way beyond that!  They are talking, IMO, exactly what MM has brought up.  Fits right in with everything we have studied and continue to study.  This is the "agenda" quickly moving forward.

We are watching the MR (monetary reform) process fill in for the whole world.

The FIMA and Currency Manipulation Rule / Law take shape. Those two items have direct and indirect relation to the Iraq Monetary Reform's.... Again, as for the 0 cash sales in the auctions and the reduction of liquidity requirements prove that they CBI imo is in alignment with the Central Banks of the world in creating an smooth transition for the country to be reborn again.

The lack of cash sales is reflected in the diminished cash reserve requirements and less fees on transactions. Iraq will be a conduit into the future financial world and by zeroing out customs duties on medical devices and supplies is merely part of the story..

They clearly tell us there is more to the meeting than just medical supplies.. We are in a very special place this Easter Day!! Thank God!!! ~ MM

RealtorMC:  What is the significance of NO CASH SALES in the currency auctions?  

BillA:  This is strictly in my opinion only.........Cash cannot easily be tracked. So when the CBI sells USD through their currency window, that money/cash can just about go anywhere to support theft, terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking etc.. It has been well reported that most of the currency (in USD) sold at the currency auction was sent to iran to fund their dastardly deeds.  By stopping the currency auction it also allows Iraq to maintain a certain amount of USD in their currency reserves to support the NEW value of the IQD.

Samson:  Today ... a virtual emergency meeting for OPEC and its allies

Six sources in "OPEC" said that the organization and its allies will hold a virtual meeting, on Sunday evening, in an effort to implement a global agreement to reduce oil supplies.

The sources in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries said that the conference will be held at 16:00 GMT. OPEC, Russia and other allies in the group called "OPEC +" announced plans on Thursday to cut production by more than one-fifth in order to support prices that have fallen due to the Corona crisis.

It was agreed to cut production by about 10 million barrels per day in May and June, but Mexico has expanded the production cuts requested from it, which hindered the signing of a final agreement, according to Reuters. And Mexico announced, on Friday, that it had reached an agreement with the United States, allowing it to agree to an agreement on reducing production with "OPEC", Russia and other countries.  He said Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, he agreed with his US counterpart Donald Trump, that the United States compensate what Mexico can not add to the proposed reduction during the "OPEC" talks.

He added that he spoke with Trump on Thursday, and the two agreed that Mexico would cut oil production by 100,000 barrels per day, and the United States would add a reduction of 250,000 barrels per day, as already agreed. It is noteworthy that Mexico has refused to cut 400 thousand barrels per day, according to what the Associated Press reported.
