Independent / A recent study conducted by the Australian University of "Monash" in a joint framework with the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunology that the drug "Ivermectin" for head lice can prevent the growth of the corona virus emerging in laboratory cultured cells within 48 hours.
In this context, Dr. Kylie Wagstaff of the Biomedical Institute in Monash said: “We have concluded that a single dose of this drug will effectively remove all genetic material of the virus within 48 hours, and we have also found a significant decrease in it. Within 24 hours. ”
While it is not yet known how Ivermectim works against the virus, it is likely that it stops it by impairing the ability of the host cells to clear it.
The next step is for researchers to determine the correct dose, to ensure that the level used in the laboratory is safe for humans.
Dr. Wagstaff continued: “At a time when we are facing a global pandemic without any available treatment, any compound available around the world may help to overcome the virus faster. In fact, it will take some time before the vaccine is widely available. ”
Scientists expect that the development process may take at least a month, before conducting human experiments. Before Ivermectin can be used to combat the Corona virus, funding is required to subject it to preclinical and clinical trials.

chattels Iraq is facing a dual crisis caused by the Russian-Saudi oil war and the global coronavirus that has collapsed the international oil market which the country depends upon. In response, Baghdad has gone to the World Bank asking for help.
chattels If Iraq does get any funds from the World Bank it will likely be on very strict terms. The Bank loaned money to Iraq during the war against the Islamic State and was supposed to carry out financial reforms and concentrate on reconstruction afterward. It did neither. That was because the budget is based upon political rather than economic factors, and neither reforms nor rebuilding fit the elite’s agenda.

Again, this is due to the Iraqi elite who see the nation’s oil wealth as a means to maintain its power and enrich itself. It is not interested in development or economics which might mitigate these cyclical problems.
