Bank Announcement:   World Bank issues first English Law DNN

The first Digitally Native Note (DNN) has been issued under English Law via Euroclear’s Digital Financial Market Infrastructure (D-FMI). This marks the launch of Euroclear’s digital ledger technology (DLT)-powered Digital Securities Issuance (D-SI) service.

The €100 million DNN was issued by the World Bank — International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) to support its sustainable development activities and was listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Citi Issuer Services served as issuing and paying agent, TD Securities as dealer, and Euroclear Bank as issuer central securities depository. Corda, R3’s DLT platform, underpinned the issuance.

Euroclear’s D-FMI is connected to the firm’s traditional settlement platform for secondary market operations on the DNN, allowing investors to access trading venues and liquidity management facilities. It enables the creation and settlement of DNNs on a T+0 basis, which Citi says is a step towards a fully digital end-to-end transaction lifecycle for bonds.

Consumer Financial Protection Board Announcement:

On October 19, 2023, the Consumer Financial Protection Board (“CFPB”) released a proposed rule that, if enacted, would grant consumers greater access rights to the data their financial institutions hold. Under the proposed Personal Financial Data Rights Rule, bank customers nationwide would have privacy rights similar to what is afforded under the dozen state privacy laws that have been enacted in recent years.  Comments on the Proposed Rule are due on or before December 29th of this year, while the Proposed Rule would likely go into effect in the fall of 2024.

Shipping Port Announcements:

SINGAPORE, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) will launch a digital bunkering initiative on Nov. 1, making the city-state the first port in the world to use electronic bunker fuel delivery notes, the MPA said on Monday.

The digital notes will replace physical documents containing information on fuel oil deliveries. Under the initiative, fuel suppliers, ship owners, operators and crew will be encouraged to use mobile and cloud-based applications approved by the MPA to complete and issue bunkering documents.

Yesterday, Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures and Deutsche Bank completed the first proof of concept (PoC) for the Universal Digital Payments Network (UDPN).

The purpose of this platform is to connect payments across CBDC blockchain networks using messages similar to Swift. Banks and other financial institutions exchange messages through a permissioned blockchain.

This enforces a trust level between Banks. Because this system only allows regulated tokens through its Network, it enforces compliance using decentralized entities.

You keep hearing about three entities over and over again: Standard Charter Bank, Fintech, and the Deutsche Bank. We have been talking about these three financial institutions as being important to the next economy for 2 years.

And now, we are seeing these three entities being utilized with the Deutsche Bank that touches every Bank around the world.

"The majority of cross-border payments are currently carried out via telegraphic transfers supported by SWIFT’s network of correspondent banks. These transfers are often criticized for being slow and expensive. A transfer can take several days to complete, while the World Bank estimates the average cost of a transaction to be about 6% of the transfer value."

We are currently at T+ 1 settlements and moving towards T+ 0 settlements. In other words, we are very close to seeing instant payments on cross-border international trading transactions.

This is very important to the Forex Market since foreign currency trades will happen around the world due to a changeover from a world Reserve Currency transaction to trading in local currencies.

"Atomic Settlements" are becoming possible through technology's ability to simultaneously secure both sides of a trade at the same time through artificial intelligence (computer transactions).

Smart contracts will ensure both parties have the ability to pay for such services, and the efficient transactions between two countries involved in a trade create money velocity and security.

This is why Forex has been under currency reforms this year. This particular sector of the market is expected to grow by leaps and bounds due to the changeover of a Global Monetary Policy utilizing local currencies around the world.

Finally, India has embarked upon their pilot program of utilizing Central Bank Digital Currencies in place of Banknotes in cross-border international trading through the UPI or the Unified Payments Interface in computer terms.

CBDCs will represent a country's currency going forward inside International Banking Systems.

A pilot program is the final phase of development. The next step will move towards implementation.

Do not forget. Iraq has already signed a contract to work with India on future trading transactions through the UPI. This will increase demand and value for the Iraqi Dinar through price pressure computations in the new digital banking system.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has proposed its long-awaited open banking rule in the hopes of improving competition in the US banking and payments sector.

The proposed Personal Financial Data Rights rule activates the dormant Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which was enacted by Congress more than a decade ago. This means consumer financial service providers are required to share data at the user’s direction with other companies in the ecosystem that offer more attractive products and services.

REVEALING GOLD'S POWER AS A RESERVE CURRENCY

One of the significant developments this week was the revelation that Malaysia is actively exploring the gold dinar as a potential new reserve currency.  

The Prime Minister of Malaysia said:  

“If we can get between five and six percent with Islamic countries [using dinar], it would be a positive start as it provides strength and reduces dependency on the U.S. dollar…”  

I have covered this topic before, focusing on Islamic countries and gold.

In April, we learned that China is willing to discuss the establishment of an Asian Monetary Fund with Malaysia to reduce its dependence on the dollar.

   At this point.. information is all over the board.. who do you trust? who do you believe?
   No one is 100% right.. no one knows all the story or all the history or all the motives... There has been major f#ckery afoot.. but boy does lots of people have lots of different bits & pieces of the puzzle..
    Lots of people have also learned shocking new to them information about a lot of things they didn't know or realize or even considered before.
   People are waking up to so many things on so many layers & levels. As they do that, they're going to change their whole way of thinking & being. Are we going to let them?
   Online is so divisive right now with so much on the verge & causing so much negativity, fear, finger pointing & suffering.. preventing The People from coming together.. People are losing sight of the forest & they are getting stuck in the trees & weeds...
   As awake or aware as however many of us there are for however long as we have.. we have got to have some patience now when it's most important, with ourselves & for others, as we all shift. As conscious awareness awakens more & more, have patience for your fellow human...
   Patience.. an 8-letter swear word. Brain breaks & heart aches & the sheer amount of disappointment & disheartening things going on right now.. are things that many of us have to remember on behalf of others is that we became aware of a lot of info over time & had some time to process but now this is coming rapid fire & building & very heavy...
   People are also changing their minds, having a change of heart, reconsidering things in a new light, caring about things they never cared about before & learning about things that suck...
   Many haven't even had time to know that it's going to be okay yet.. that some things have to break open & be rebuilt & we're going to be okay because they are in it with close friendships, families, and communities all changing at the same time.  
   Can you remember the times when you learned about things that sucked? That you had to hear it a couple of times before considering it because it sucked so bad? Can you remember when you first tried to talk to others about something you learned & had dived into further, for others to dismiss it, laugh at you or label you a tinfoil hatter?  Many of us joke about it now but we had time to learn to brush off the pushback received from trying to share controversial information that was against accepted known knowledge or long-held beliefs...
  We gotta give people a bit of a break & wait & see..  it's not instant & some previous bad guys who've grown a conscience are going to make great whistleblowers.
   We have to remember no one knows the whole story about anything right now & trusting your own intuition, using your common sense & critical thinking skills & remembering a perspective of the bigger picture is going to help everyone...
   Questioning is good.. but only following or believing 1 person or 1 group or 1 movement will keep people in the weeds...
   It's not the time to take a hard line of black & white, who is absolutely right or truthful or not & wrong.. because in order to put the puzzle together this time we need to flow.. work together, dismiss egos, figure it out, work it out & expose hidden truth to put the pieces together so we can change it.
   Whoever you read, listen to, or watch..Take the bits that resonate with you & dismiss the rest.. because actual mis & disinformation is being used against The People as they discover or reveal the truths that have been actively hidden that they've learned of or experienced.

We are living in a time where many assets are in distress. They are called "distressed assets." From homes to cars and more, many people just simply cannot pay their bills as they come due.

Layoffs and lack of job opportunities account for many of these distressed assets that have reached a price of unaffordability.

Many attempts to restructure a loan often work in a growing society, but we are in a global economic downturn. These options at present rates just simply do not work in today's world.

We are not living in a world where real-world assets of real values apply. Our economy is moving closer and closer to a reset of everything.

The Federal Reserve is extending their comment period on proposed Bank Capital requirements.

It is moving from November 30th, 2023 to January 16th, 2024.

Once the comment period Is over, Congress in conjunction with the Banking system will move toward final rules of implementation on how much capital / commodities should be held in Banks as collateral.

These collateral requirements will secure loans, banking investments, and currency transactions from around the world.

We talked of the next steps about a week ago in this room. How the war between Israel and Hamas would affect the supply chains of those who support these countries.

Maria Fernanda Garza shared in a recent interview said that our "Global value chain" has already been hit by the Ukrainian war and COVID-19. And now, we are dealing with another war in Israel.

She suggested moving forward with the digitization of trade. This would minimize many of the destructive money flows being used to go to war efforts through efficiency and the movement of money quicker, so that, imports and exports to these countries can run much smoother.

The effects of War create value changes inside of an economy, and this includes the currencies many of these countries use to keep their country sustainable.

Many of the values on these currencies are already not sustainable as many countries have moved to trade in localized currencies.

The Global community currently has turned their attention toward movement into virtual currency trades inside our shipping ports. It will help accelerate the next economy as well.
