Member: What is your gut saying Mark?

MZ: I have had so many people in the banking world telling me this is our month. Nobody knows the timing but my gut is screaming they are spot on. I think we are in our last few weeks …or days.

Member: Sure hope your bankers are right.

Member:  Remember Kuwait RV their currency in Mid March of 1991

MZ: A currency dealer was talking about what they can and could no longer buy. The ones that have suddenly disappeared from the market …that are restricted and they cannot buy right now …this is a large scale buyer and they can no longer buy Iraqi dinar, Vietnamese dong, Venezuelan bolivar or Iranian Rial from their normal source. This is an international group that purchases currency.  There probably still are some already at dealers but they will have a hard time replenishing supplies right now....if this doesn’t go very quickly.

Member:  That gives us a big clue.

Member: That was the best news in the last month because we were told once the currency dealers can’t buy we’re ready to go. Wow!

Member: Hey Mark .....My local foreign currency exchange is well aware of the RV and is also waiting patiently. I went yesterday and she was very informed about what is going on.

Member:  They told me at Commerce Bank they do not have the Iraq denair no longer

MZ: Nader dropped a video today about controlling their funds through electronic means and them going to an electronic system. They also said how this will support the value of the dinar…..be sure to go listen and like and share him.

MZ: “Vietnam pushes the Us to grant them market economy status”  This could lead to the increase of the value of the Vietnamese dong.  The US state dept has called upon Vietnam to raise the value of their currency.

Member: what currencies do you believe will be in the first basket still ????

Clare:  Economist: Discordant voices benefited from the attack on private banks through the media

2/6/2024   Baghdad

The economic expert, Alaa Al-Fahd, on Tuesday accused those with discordant votes of inciting the street and the media against private banks to harm the national economy.

Al-Fahd said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “These parties spread rumors that there are banking problems in the private sector in Iraq and that there is chaos and fraud,” pointing out that on “the ground there is nothing tangible from these rumours.”

He added, "Private banks began working since 2023 in financial development and transformation within a transitional phase from paper to electronic phase."

 Al-Fahd continued, “These parties, whether local or regional, are working to inflame the situation or spread false news to frustrate the resolve within banking institutions.” LINK

Clare:  The Association of Banks talks about a conspiracy to hit the Iraqi economy through rumors

2/5/2024 Baghdad

 Advisor to the Association of Private Banks, Samir Al-Nusairi, on Monday, accused malicious parties of tampering with the Iraqi economy and the private and public banking sector by exaggerating the political and security crises in the country.

Al-Nusairi said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “The Iraqi private and public banking market is facing malicious rumors, as certain parties are exaggerating security and political problems for the purpose of striking the national economy.”

 He added, "The conspiracy against the Iraqi economy aims to abort the Iraqi government's efforts to improve economic transfers, deal with the dollar, and complete the economic exchange platform project to finance foreign trade."

 He pointed out that "the Central Bank and the government are continuing with reform plans, especially the paragraphs of the government program to prevent dollar smuggling and support the private banking sector."   LINK

Mnt Goat    ...I talked to my CBI contact...I was told the rate will be determined just as it has been determined all along by the new asset backed Quantum Financial System (QFS) now in place. It was put in place from 2011-2012 and now running daily. Only technically they have not yet linked or mapped these new rates into the foreign currency exchanges as of yet. This is what we are waiting for. Not all the rates will come over at once and many call them “baskets” or “groups” of currencies. The plan is for the years to come to slowly roll out these new rates and map them to the foreign exchanges as the new market rates...   [Post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

Mnt Goat  ...the rate will be whatever it is in the QFS system when the time comes to reinstate it.  This will be the starting rate. All they need to do is bring it over to FOREX by mapping it from the QFS. It is a simple process.  It will most likely be around $3-$4 when it does come out...Yes, when the IQD rate does come out, it could vary but only a drastic change in the price of oil will affect it. However, the projection is for the price of oil to hover around $70-90 this year which will still produce an IQD rate well within the range we investors want...  [Post 2 of 2]

Member: Countries are buying lots of gold. Who or what are they buying gold from?

MZ: Many buy it from COMEX or LME (London metal exchange ect…..but an increasing amount are also buying it directly from the miners and refineries. This has been going on for some time. China now buys almost directly from mining conglomerates.

MZ: In Iraq we are being told “Denomination specimen sheets” are being shown in banks in Iraq. This is a sheet showing the new money and pictures of all the features on the new lower denominations……I reached out to a couple contacts to try to get pictures of these specimen sheets.

MZ: If Iraqi banks are indeed doing this…we are awfully close.

Member: Yes Frank said that last night about the lower denom sheets

Member: Hi Mark Z. In Iraq today it’s sort of a holiday. “Day of mourning”.

Member: So, I wonder who is really in charge? Is it Iraq and Sudani?…Is it the UST? Is it the Chinese Elders?  White Hats?   Who pulls that trigger and saves the world?

MZ: MilitiaMan dropped a fantastic video last night. “Iraq is enhancing the dinar”  Iraq is doing everything they need to in preparation of increasing the value. Very solid and straight to the point video. Be sure to watch it and support and share his videos.

MZ: The US is losing its position at the trough very quickly “Biden walks back claim it notified Iraq of strikes. Civilian deaths reported” It appears they told Iraq after the strikes happened in direct confliction with previous stories. Iraq says the US has stepped on and violated our sovereignty. I believe this will force things to come to a head quicker and force the US out of Iraq.

MZ: If those metals revalue….and the currencies pegged to metals revalue….Well we will have a new monetary system based on real assets. More and more people are waking up and seeing the writing on the wall.

Member: I would think we would know if that was true……to many people watching this very closely.

Member:  Found out that PNC Bank is tier 1 bank and will exchange currency1!

Member: My credit union has training today . they are closing at 12:30 pm. i asked what kind of training? she said i dont know but its in Allentown pa. i asked if it was about the new US NOTE she smiled

Member:  I think there are going to be a lot of things going down next couple weeks

MZ: No fresh bond news but some interesting banking news.

MZ: This one banking story I got – I will sanitize it to not get anyone into trouble. A person made contact with a manager in a financial institution ….they commented to them about the bond folks and group leaders are disappearing under NDA’s. The manager told them to try to relax. And as soon as you stop focusing on it – it will happen sooner than you think….and I expect it to happen in the month of February. This is from a trained person in the banking system.

MZ: Nothing new on CMKX

MZ: “Powell says the US is on a unsustainable fiscal path”  Our debt is surpassing our nations ability to create GDP. He seems to be squaring off against Yellen and Biden.

Member: Frank said tonight he thinks it’s done….and this may be his last call

Member:  MY best friend is military in Iraq  and they believe the dinar there is revalued

Member: I wonder if Iraq goes by themselves? Just seems to be no urgency from Vietnam..

Member: If Iraq goes alone…..I bet the rest will follow close behind.

Member: I wonder what is the biggest trigger Iraq is waiting on to change the value?

Member: What is the hold up on the Iraqi side to getting their RV done so the valuation of their Dinar shows up on Forex and other Markets monitoring Iraqi Dinar in exchanges?

Member Wish someone knew the answer to that.

MZ: Iraq is now saying they want all the coalition militaries out …not just US troops. This is a sovereignty issue before they get their currency back.

MZ: This is a few days old but huge: “Iraqi Parliament calling to ditch US dollar for oil trade” This would break the US control over Iraq.

MZ: “World gold council reveals Iraq is the 7th largest buyer of gold in 2023” China was first, Poland was second. Then Singapore, Libya, Chezck Republic, India and then Iraq.

MZ: Now in China” Liquidation of China’s Evergrande has a lot of similarities to Lehman Brothers , analyst says” Remember in 2008 this spread all over the world when Lehman Brothers went down.

Member: Will we pay a service fee at the redemption center?

MZ: I am told at participating redemption banks/centers we will have a pre-negotiated rate. Which will be more favorable for us then regular bank spreads of up to 10%. That is what I was told from banking personnel who have trained for this.

Henig:  Vietnam:  Dollar gains on black market

The U.S. dollar rose against the Vietnamese dong on the black market Saturday morning.

Unofficial exchange points sold the greenback at VND24,940, up 0.30% from Friday.

Vietcombank maintained the greenback at VND24,500.

The State Bank of Vietnam kept its reference rate stable at VND23,959.

It has increased against the dong by 0.33% since the beginning of the year.

Globally the U.S. dollar index jumped to a seven-week high in a broad rally on Friday after data showed that employers added far more jobs in January than expected, reducing the chances of near-term Federal Reserve interest rate cuts, Reuters reported.

The dollar index reached 104.04, the highest since Dec. 12.

The euro fell to $1.07810, holding just above the $1.07800 level reached on Thursday, which was the weakest since Dec. 13.

The greenback rose to 148.58 yen, just below the 148.80 level reached on Jan. 19, which was the highest since Nov. 28.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq has banned eight local commercial banks from engaging in U.S. dollar transactions, taking action to reduce fraud, money laundering and other illegal uses of U.S. currency days after a visit by a top U.S. Treasury official.

The banks are banned from accessing the Iraqi central bank's daily dollar auction, a main source of hard currency in the import-dependent country that has become a focal point of a U.S. crackdown on currency smuggling to neighbouring Iran.

A rare ally of both the United States and Iran with more than $100 billion in reserves held in the U.S., Iraq relies heavily on Washington's goodwill to ensure that its access to oil revenues and finances are not blocked.

A central bank document verified by an official at the bank listed the banned banks.

They are: Ahsur International Bank for Investment; Investment Bank of Iraq; Union Bank of Iraq; Kurdistan International Islamic Bank for Investment and Development; Al Huda Bank; Al Janoob Islamic Bank for Investment and Finance; Arabia Islamic Bank and Hammurabi Commercial Bank.

The head of Iraq's private bank association, which represents the banks involved, and Ashur and Hammurabi did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Reuters is contacting the other banks.

A Treasury spokesman said: "We commend the continued steps taken by the Central Bank of Iraq to protect the Iraqi financial system from abuse, which has led to legitimate Iraqi banks achieving international connectivity through corespondent banking relationships.”

In July 2023, Iraq banned 14 banks from conducting dollar transactions as part of a wider crackdown on dollar smuggling to Iran via the Iraqi banking system. The decision came after a request from Washington, according to Iraqi and U.S. officials.

Banks banned from dollar transactions are allowed to continue operating and are allowed to engage in transactions in other currencies, the central bank says.

The U.S. Treasury Department's top sanctions official, Brian Nelson, last week met top Iraqi officials in Baghdad, discussing how to protect the Iraqi and international financial systems from criminal, corrupt and terrorist actors.

Treasury announced action against Al-Huda Bank during the visit, saying it was involved in diverting billions of U.S. dollars to Iranian-backed groups.

A senior Treasury official told Reuters that Washington expected Iraq to do more to help counter Iran-backed armed groups operating out of Iraq after the killing of three U.S. soldiers that has been blamed on hardline Iraqi factions.

The current Iraqi government came to power with the support of powerful, Iran-backed parties and armed groups with interests in Iraq's highly informal economy, including the financial sector long seen as a money-laundering hot spot.

Still, Western officials have lauded cooperation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani towards carrying out economic and financial reforms meant to curb the ability of Iran and its allies to access U.S. dollars, and to bring the Iraqi economy into line with international standards.

Member:  ​Is there any hope for this week?

MZ: A lot of news coming out of Iraq this weekend. A lot of it about Iraq’s economic prowess. They are now ranked the 7th central bank in buying metals. Think about that. They are not in the G7 or the G20…but they are the 7th largest purchaser of gold bullion. This is amazing.

MZ: They also point out that their oil revenues are now surpassing Saudi Arabia in exports to the US. There are a number of articles pointing out how financially secure is Iraq. To me this is a precursor to a change of value in their currency.

Member: I heard there are now 8 banks in Iraq that can no longer deal in the US dollar.

MZ: Yes…specifically Al Huda bank. I heard they were selling US dollars in the billions that was making its way into Iran.

Member: How does the US bombing that part of Iraq affect things, or does it?

Member: Mark Said Saturday that he was told it would not affect timing of RV.

Member: Mark, two weeks notice, what does your gut say?

MZ: I would not give it. I have learned not to put myself in piss poor positions. I know it’s a “when” and not an “if” …but this wait has been a nightmare.

Member: Mark, did you see Frank26’s post that no American bank will hold our millions as the result of RV?

MZ: Banks make money from transactions and fees. So saying the banks won’t hold a internationally recognized currency and exchange it …so they have extra money in their banks…...just think about that. To me it makes no sense for them not to want to.

Member: I don't know where He thinks millionaires and billionaires keep their money lol

Member: Maybe Banks will be secondary wealth management. We will all be on QFS. Treasury will be bank

MZ: I am hoping to have news from the bond side this afternoon.

Member: If they are all under NDA’s we may not hear any more news from them…but it means we are really close so that s ok.

MZ: I am a little frustrated with the lack of news but that does mean NDA’s are being adhered to…I think this is a tremendously good sign for us.

Member: Mark, I have a contact in a Church group (T3), and they were told on Saturday to be ready to fly to Reno for their redemption within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Member:  JUst in.... IRAQI northern port -Umm Qasr has received the largest & newest ship (MSC Berangere) built in 2023 carrying 2,659 containers has entered Iraqs ports for the first time!

Member: Iraq is moving but I still think lots to do and now they are talking March. I think Nesara still off a ways and will roll out. Iraq first and alone 100% IMO.
